Fusion Art announces the Waterscapes 2026 Art Competition.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art depicting waterscapes. The theme includes any art which depicts any type of body of water including the ocean, lakes, rivers, ponds, streams, coastal living, any ocean activities, seaside vistas, beaches, and any related seashore or lakeside subjects. It can also include rain, puddles and frozen waterscapes.

All artists, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art and photography.

Studios 94 in Chiang Mai, Thailand offers residency and studio programs in a UNESCO Creative City. The Residency Program includes 2-month cycles with private on-site accommodations, dedicated studio space, and culminating exhibitions at 94 Gallery. The Studio Program provides monthly workspace for focused production. Both programs include daily studio access, shared facilities, and community integration.

The Goulburn Art Award is a biennial competition held every two years, open to artists at all stages of their careers. The award is open to artists living within a 120km radius of Goulburn working in any medium. The Award represents the talent and diversity of artists working within the region. The 2026 Goulburn Art Award will be judged by Rachel Kent, CEO of Bundanon.

MarthaMOCA provides one-month residencies for artists of all disciplines. Residents are given use of a fully furnished private live/work space- with a studio, bathroom, & kitchen on the ground floor and a lofted bedroom and living space above. This summertime plein air event invites more than 150 regional artists to spend a day creating original works across the Arboretum’s 66 acres of lush gardens, water features, and sculptural vignettes. Guests are encouraged to explore the grounds and observe artists as they paint, draw, collage, or print in real time—each responding to the dynamic intersection of nature and creativity.

The event takes place during the exhibition Hunt Slonem at the Arboretum: Bunnies, Birds & Butterflies, with sculptures by the renowned neo-expressionist artist placed throughout the garden. While not required, participating artists are welcome to incorporate these sculptures into their compositions as part of their creative response to the setting.

Selected works from the event will be curated into a public gallery exhibition in August, with a juried prize awarded for Best in Show.

The Jean-Claude Reynal Foundation, named after the French printmaker, awards a grant enabling a young visual artist working on paper to undertake a study trip abroad. Following Jean-Claude Reynal’s death in 1988, and in accordance with his wishes, his father, Georges Reynal, approached the Fondation de France to establish a foundation in his name. The foundation awards a grant to a young artist to finance a study trip abroad and the realization of a project on paper.

Interlace Emergency Grants are intended to mitigate the harmful effects of emergency situations and crises. These grants are meant to function as small interventions and expressions of support and solidarity with local visual artists. Emergency Grants are open to self-identifying visual artists whose primary residence is within a 10-mile radius of Providence and in the state of Rhode Island. Interlace is able to distribute up to $1250 per month in grants of up to $500. If applicants do not receive funding, they may re-apply. If applicants do receive funding but the amount is less than $500, they may re-apply as long as they do not receive more than $500 total during the calendar year.

The Providence Art Club invites artists from across the United States to apply for its annual National Open Juried Exhibition, one of the most popular exhibitions of its kind. Recognized as one of the top three galleries in Rhode Island by the Providence Journal, the Art Club has received coveted Best of Rhode Island Awards for Best Art Gallery in Providence each year since 2019. Fundación Botín awards six art grants annually to support individual artistic projects involving training, research, and production. The grants cover living expenses, travel, accommodation, studio rental, equipment, and production costs. One grant is reserved for Spanish artists or Spanish residents under 30 relocating abroad. Selected works are presented in the annual Itinerarios exhibition at Centro Botín with accompanying catalogue. The foundation may acquire works for its collection.

Display your work at the Eagan Art House! The Eagan Art House is accepting applications for an open call for art meant to highlight and uplift emerging artists. Gallery 96 is a non-profit arts organization based in Shoreview that serves the northern St. Paul suburbs. In collaboration with the City of Shoreview’s Bikeways and Trails Committee they have received two grants to create a mural inside the tunnel under Highway 96 that connects the Shoreview Community Center and the Snail Lake Nature Preserve. The tunnel is used by walkers, bikers, and runners, from children to adults. They are seeking an artist(s) who is experienced in working on murals in public locations to design and install their mural.

The 9th Annual PROUD+ Exhibition will be held June 19 - July 31, 2026, during San Diego Pride Month, showcasing the work of LGBTQ+ artists from across the country. Prisma Art Prize is an international art competition dedicated to promoting emerging painters and visual artists. Their mission is to showcase a diverse range of works that reflect the full potential of the painting medium, embracing both traditional and contemporary techniques. As the name suggests, Prisma Art Prize acts as a prism, refracting the various possibilities within the painting process. The national acquisitive Sunshine Coast National Art Prize is a dynamic visual arts award reflecting outstanding contemporary 2D and new media arts practice in Australia. The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides one-time grants of up to $5,000 for recent unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies to artists in financial need* who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, and choreography.

Maryland Federation of Art calls for sculptures that command space and make viewers interact with them physically by walking around, stepping back from, or otherwise engaging with the work. The organization seeks three-dimensional works that have a strong physical presence and impact on the exhibition space. This is part of their ongoing series of juried exhibitions featuring contemporary art.

The Martin House Creative Residency Program is a project-based residency that provides creative individuals a designated time and space to develop new works of the imagination inspired by one of the great examples of 20th century architecture.

This residency is open to emerging and mid-career artists working in all disciplines across Greater Los Angeles. For four months the artist-in-residence will be given a studio in the Quinn Emanuel Los Angeles office to support their existing practice or a new project as appropriate. At the end of the residency an exhibition will be held to display the works of the artist and at least one work will be incorporated into the permanent collection. Craft 1o1 is a cross-disciplinary summer program hosted by Arts Letters & Numbers from July 1 through August 30, 2026, in Averill Park, New York. The program brings together artists, educators, and practitioners across visual arts, humanities, performing arts, construction, and mechanics, forming a shared environment where participants engage in hands-on work, seminars, and collaborative processes.

Escape to the Southernmost Point and make new work in a place that has drawn artists, writers, and rule-breakers for generations. Monthlong residencies welcome visual artists, writers, musicians, performers, media artists, and interdisciplinary creatives. Nearly 40 artists annually receive housing at The Studios of Key West in a renovated guesthouse with private studios, plus time and space to create. Residents are encouraged to engage the community through optional workshops, readings, or talks. Additional benefits include yoga classes, a sunset sail, and a bicycle for exploring the island. With a 12–13% acceptance rate, PEAR supports artists with strong vision in a vibrant cultural hub grounded in the spirit of One Human Family.

Sponsored by the CSB and SJU Art Department, this unique residency provides six weeks of studio time, housing, and a modest stipend. Artists receive a private studio and access to departmental studio equipment. Residents are required to offer an opening lecture, student studio visits, and a closing open studio event. There is no fee to apply.

The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts presents the Wachtmeister Award biennially to established interdisciplinary visual artists who push boundaries of traditional and non-traditional materials. The 2027 award targets artists with at least 15 years of professional experience and substantial national or international achievement. Recipients receive a fully-funded 30-day residency at Mt. San Angelo in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, including private studio, lodging, and meals, plus honorarium and travel stipend. The program provides uninterrupted time for creative work within a cross-disciplinary artist community.

The organization provides 2-week and 4-week artist residencies in rural Maine at the edge of the North Woods. Selected artists receive private studios, private bedrooms in shared housing, all meals prepared, and a stipend. Studios are outfitted for various artistic practices with access to wood and metal shops. The program supports both emerging and established artists across all visual art mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, and installation.

This is a photography specific category which provides access to a private analog and digital photo studio. It takes place concurrently with other residents in all mediums. *A car is required for this residency. The organization provides 2-week and 4-week artist residencies in rural Maine at the edge of the North Woods. Selected artists receive private studios, private bedrooms in shared housing, all meals prepared, and a stipend.

Dieu Donné is pleased to offer its 2027 Workspace Residency to emerging New York metropolitan area-based visual artists. With a focus on experimentation and collaboration, the Workspace program provides three artists the opportunity to explore paper pulp as an artistic medium. Working with their master collaborators, residents are encouraged to explore the creative possibilities inherent in the hand papermaking process and to further develop this medium as a contemporary art form. The Dieu Donné Workspace Residency includes an introduction to the medium and process of hand papermaking, six days in the studio with a dedicated collaborator, and a $600 stipend. All standard pulp and papermaking equipment is provided. The residency concludes with a group exhibition.

The Headmaster and CEO of Eltham College Family of Schools seeks to appoint an Artist in Residence for a one-year assignment for a working artist in any medium. The successful applicant will have access to studio space and use of the facilities within the Art Department, including an etching press, ceramics kilns, dark-room and other equipment.

Hampshire Cultural Trust, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is delivering a major redevelopment of the Allen Gallery in Alton, Hampshire. This includes refurbishment of the Grade II Listed building and reinterpretation of its nationally significant ceramics collection. As part of the project, Hampshire Cultural Trust invites an artist working in painting or ceramics to develop a creative response to the works in the Allen Gallery collection, with a particular focus on the contributions made by William Herbert Allen, producing a body of work of which items will be selected for a temporary display upon its re-opening in early 2027. Hampshire Cultural Trust may acquire an object, by agreement with the artist, to include in its permanent collection.

The Mudhouse is an artist residency located in the village of Agios Ioannis on the Island of Crete, Greece. The Mudhouse Residency aims to provide artists inspiration derived from an engagement with the stunning natural beauty of its environment, solitude to foster creative growth, an artistic community to enrich professional practices, and an immersive cultural experience within a profoundly rich historical context.

The Studio Residency Grant is a six- to eight-week residency for artists to create new work in any of their studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, or photography. WSW invites applications from artists at any stage in their careers. This grant includes a stipend of $350/week, up to $500 for materials used during the residency, up to $250 for travel within the Continental US, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WSW can also provide technical advice and production assistance. Applicants who are not selected for the Studio Residency Grant may opt to be considered for a Studio Workspace Residency or Anita Wetzel Residency Grant by checking a box on their application.

The Langham Estate is inviting six artists to a studio residency at 53 Great Portland Street in Fitzrovia Quarter, central London, from June to November 2026. This new residency will transform currently unoccupied space awaiting refurbishment in the heart of an active artistic community. Artists attending the residency will be invited to respond to the theme of ‘What Holds Us Together’, drawing inspiration from Fitzrovia’s diverse patchwork of intersecting communities and histories. Studio spaces will be offered free of charge to artists who need workspace in London, at any stage of their career. Applications are open until 15 May. Successful applicants will be notified on the w/c 25 May and are expected to begin their residency by 30 June.

The Red Mill Museum Village and the Hunterdon Art Museum invite community members to participate in the Mill to Mill Peace Flag Project, a public art display of handmade peace flags that will represent a shared expression of hope, unity and goodwill. Community members are asked to create peace flags that will be displayed together outside the two museums. Inspired by traditional prayer flags, each piece reflects the maker’s personal interpretation of the question: “What does peace look like to you?” Through symbols, colors, words, images or textures, every flag becomes a message of peace carried outward into the world.The Mill to Mill Peace Flag Project is part of Handwork 2026, Craft in America’s nationwide semiquincentennial collaboration showcasing the importance of the handmade and celebrating the diversity of craft the defines America.

This unique collaborative opportunity is open to artists internationally and is not confined to any single aesthetic, theme or medium. Artists with no previous experience of working with scientists or in a scientific environment are particularly encouraged to apply. The Fellowship offers opportunities for playful experimentation and the space to re-imagine beyond conventional artistic and scientific boundaries. It is conceived as a transformative artistic fellowship, designed for artists to explore new approaches and ways of thinking through engagement with scientists and beyond, and to use these explorations as a springboard for experimenting with and developing new artistic work.

Their aim is to discover the best monochrome photographers from all over the world and deliver the best opportunities to be recognized and rewarded for their work. You can compete for $5000 in cash prizes in two categories: Black and White Photo of the Year 2026 and Black and White Series of the Year 2026. Their annual competition is open to photographers of all backgrounds and all levels, including - professionals and amateurs. They accept all forms of black and white photography created with traditional or digital methods.

NEW WORK Focus on Los Angeles 2027–2028 Artist Commission and Exhibition. The 2027 and 2028 NEW WORK Focus on Los Angeles program, is seeking applications from Los Angeles–based visual artists. Two artists or collaborative teams will be selected, one for 2027 and one for 2028. Each selected artist will receive a $1,500 project commission, an exhibition at Winslow Garage, and a feature in our ONE WORK online publication series. This opportunity supports innovative, self-contained projects that are intended to be fully realized within the exhibition space and have not been previously exhibited. Projects should be completed by June in their respective year, 2027 or 2028.

Gallery One Visual Arts Center is proud to announce its ninth national juried exhibition, "America 250," celebrating the Semiquincentennial, or 250th anniversary of the United States of America. The exhibition will run from June 19 through August 1, 2026, at Gallery One's multi-level space in downtown Ellensburg, Washington.
The national call for entries invites photographers across the United States to submit works that explore the theme of America's 250th anniversary. The exhibition seeks photography that "turns the camera lens onto our nation" and reflects aspects of what America means, stands for, or could become.

The mission of the 2026 Swan Hill Print and Drawing Acquisitive Awards is to promote excellence in Australian prints and drawings; present an outstanding exhibition of contemporary Australian prints and drawings, and continue to build a high-quality collection for Art Gallery of Swan Hill. Two awards will be given. One print and one drawing will be acquired by Art Gallery of Swan Hill. Selected artists will receive the value of their work and an additional amount up to a total of $10,000.

The Abbey Mural Prize supports projects with substantial grants for creating or restoring public murals. The program especially prioritizes projects promoting accessibility and serving local audiences. While traditionally supporting paintings or mosaics on walls, the prize encourages proposals that broaden and expand the definition of contemporary murals. Projects are selected by a jury of National Academicians.

Project proposals must be for sites located within the United States, Tribal Nations, or U.S. territories, including American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Projects must have an intended start date before June 30, 2027.

This year they are accepting a few types of proposals: site-specific installations in Luther Barn, outdoor installations, and performances. They will prioritize interactive and immersive proposals. They want to see your haunted games, your creepy trick or treat stations, and all of the spooky experiences you dream up.

Artists will have complete creative control over their installation, as long as they keep their work PG-13. They’re looking for artists who are excited to participate and get weird, and who are self-directed and independent with their projects. For installation artists, they offer housing in one of their residency houses (for 1–4 weeks between October 2 and November 3) alongside private studio space in Maxon Mills, and additional studio space in Luther Barn. They offer all participating artists and artistic teams a modest honorarium.

Artists, scholars, and researchers from around the world are invited to participate in the International Symposium for Visual Culture & Exhibition 2026. The symposium brings together a global community of artists, researchers, and academics in vibrant downtown Silver Spring, adjacent to Washington, DC, USA. Open call to establish a panel of professional visual artists to design and paint up to 8 large-scale exterior murals across Tullamore, Co Offaly. Commissions €5,000 –€15,000, per mural. Funded by Offaly County Council and Creative Ireland in partnership with Tullamore Tidy Towns. Offaly County Council and Tullamore Tidy Towns will form a panel of artists to deliver original artworks in Tullamore between 2026–2030. Artists on the panel will be invited to create murals across the five-year programme.

Memory and Myth considers artistic practice as a site for storytelling: where lived experience, inherited knowledge and imagined worlds converge through creativity and the skill of the maker. Memory, whether personal, familial, or collective, is rarely fixed or complete. Myth is not only expressed through folklore or a personal narrative, but also as a way of understanding the world. Memory and myth both shift through repetition, embellishment, omission and care. In fiber art practices, these processes become visible through material, surface pattern and labor.

ArtReach St. Croix is seeking submissions from artists interested in exhibiting their work in ArtReach’s Royal Credit Union Foundation Gallery. The exhibitions typically feature 3-5 artists. Accepted submissions to this call will fill 6 week long exhibitions between August 2027 and June 2028. All forms of creative work will be considered. They invite artists across any media to submit a cohesive body of work that reveals an ongoing investigation into the human form – the gestures, contours, and energy that define and animate the body. Selected works will invite viewers to reflect the human form – movement, presence, and expression, creating a dialogue between artist, subject, and audience.

Singapore Art Week (SAW) is an annual visual arts platform that profiles homegrown artists and art projects. Held in January each year, SAW takes place in and around the island across various venues where they live and work: arts and cultural institutions, private galleries, art precincts, independent art spaces, public spaces, and homes. SAW is a platform that brings fresh and innovative programmes to both local and international audiences. The 15th Edition of SAW will be held from 21 to 31 January 2027.

History is made in minutes and hours that culminate in days, weeks, months, and years of consequences from decisions and actions. The exhibition, 2,191,464 Hours of History asks you to choose a point in American History and react to it as an artist. The M. G. Nelson Family Gallery at the Springfield Art Association in Springfield, Illinois will present this exhibition from July 3rd through July 31, 2026.

WMG invites women and non-binary artists to submit works that feature encaustic materials or techniques, either wholly or in part. Artists must incorporate hot wax methods in their submitted works. The exhibition focuses specifically on the encaustic medium and its various applications in contemporary art practice.

VIA’s Artistic Production Grants fund the production of newly commissioned works of visual art exhibited beyond museum walls, in the public realm, or in non-traditional exhibition environments. The Macquarie Group Collection invites entries for the 2026 Emerging Artist Prize, continuing over 35 years of supporting emerging Australian artists. VISUAL and Carlow Arts Office are pleased to announce a new open call for exhibition proposals, which will result in a new project at VISUAL in 2027. This major collaboration between VISUAL and Carlow Arts Office continues their essential partnership, and marks 40 years of county arts officers supporting artists across Ireland. The winning application will be given time and resources to realise an ambitious exhibition in September 2027, and will benefit from curatorial, production, technical and marketing support, as well as a significant production budget. The successful application will receive an artist's fee, and shortlisted proposals will receive a fee to expand proposals for further consideration where necessary.

The Village of Dobbs Ferry invites artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for the design of a permanent exterior mural at the primary entryway to Dobbs Ferry’s downtown business district. This inaugural public art commission will serve as a welcoming visual landmark for residents and visitors and help define the character of the Village’s commercial core. Emerging artists are welcome to apply, and artists with connections to Dobbs Ferry or the Hudson Valley region are especially encouraged. 2-3 invited finalists will each receive a $500 honorarium to develop site-specific concept drawings before the final artist/team is selected by the committee. The selected artist/team will receive $5,000 for their design.

A separate process and budget will be established for the fabrication/painting of the mural. The selected designer may be considered for that phase, but this RFQ pertains only to the design commission.

Now in its 20th edition, Share Festival – the Italian contemporary art festival exploring technological evolution and science – has reopened the call for entries for the Share Prize. The Share Prize is Italy’s longest-running award dedicated to the most innovative artistic proposals within the international contemporary tech art scene. This year, they delve into the contemporary scientific debate: Share Prize XVIII Popular Singularity is dedicated to imagining how research and technology can return to the human experience.

Established in 1987, the churchie emerging art prize (‘the churchie’) is known as Australia’s longest-running award for emerging artists. ‘the churchie’ is dedicated to promoting innovation and excellence across art, encompassing all subjects and a range of media. The annual non-acquisitive prize is an initiative of Anglican Church Grammar School (Churchie). Artists from all Australian states and territories are selected as finalists for the exhibition in a professional public gallery space, with the overall winner rewarded a $40,000 cash prize donated by long-time sponsors BSPN Architecture.

Fourteenfifteen invites art submissions for our July 2026 exhibition Declarations of Incongruence by guest curator Aaron Wilder. At a time of commemorations of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, this exhibition draws attention to the document’s covert normalization of exclusion and exploitation. Despite 250 years of claimed progress, expanded inclusion, and justice for all, the Declaration’s true legacy continues in the erosion and erasure of cultures, identities, rights, and statuses not only at the federal level, but also perpetuated by state, county, and municipal governments. This exhibition seeks artistic declarations of challenging, highlighting, refusing, of resilience despite, and of thriving and joy despite the perpetuation of incongruence between America’s founding mythology and contemporary, future, and historic realities.

The Hill Painting Prize invites Australian artists to create works depicting the urban, man-made and natural landscapes of the Blue Mountains region. The inaugural national painting prize seeks to showcase diverse interpretations of the unique Blue Mountains environment through contemporary painting practice. Selected works will be exhibited at the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, providing artists with professional exhibition opportunities and public exposure.

FLAMIN Animations is a commissioning programme for early-career Black and global majority* artists working with animation, organised by Film London Artists' Moving Image Network (FLAMIN). Now in its sixth year, the programme aims to support artists as they take their first steps into a career working with the moving image, with development support and funding for a new work. FLAMIN Animations is presented in partnership with the award winning London-based animation studio Blinkink, who will be providing focused support to the selected animators throughout the development and production process alongside the FLAMIN team.

Established in 2013, Copeland Gallery has been a key contributor to the rise of Peckham’s art scene. Hosting hundreds of shows and events, the gallery has welcomed a diverse range of emerging artists, global brands, and high-profile events. Copeland Gallery is a blank canvas, dry hire venue which is an ideal project space for artists to transform for their exhibitions. They recognise that raising funds for new projects can be difficult. The Emerging Artist Exhibitions at Copeland Gallery are an opportunity for early career solo artists and collectives to access a large gallery space at a heavily discounted price.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces the 16th Annual “Landscapes” Online Art Competition.

Both 2D & 3D artists (including photography & digital art), regardless of where they reside, are invited to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational or abstract art.

The “Landscapes” theme will be the artist’s interpretation and depiction of the natural world, outdoor scenery, geographical environments, scenic vistas and related landscape subjects.

On the recommendation of its committee of experts, the Foundation awards an annual grant of CAD 5,000 to CAD 10,000 $ (depending on the scope of the project) along with a four-week residency to an established artist in the visual arts community. Through its commitment, the Grantham Foundation wishes to provide significant support for the development and dissemination of thoughtful and innovative projects whose subject matter, materials, or approach recognize the importance of the aesthetic, social, and global implications of current environmental issues. While not making it a requirement, the Grantham Foundation encourages artists to propose projects inspired by the specific characteristics of the environment in which the Foundation is located.

STNDRD Exhibitions presents a program of exhibitions, interventions, and projects that emerge from alternative sites, informed by the cultural, historical, and architectural contexts in which they unfold. STNDRD is accepting proposals for its flagship program in Granite City, Illinois, inviting artists and cultural producers to explore the power and potential of flags through both historical and contemporary contexts, considering them as cultural objects that abstract, encapsulate, and canonize. Proposals will be reviewed for inclusion in the 2027 program. Programs run for roughly six to eight weeks.

The Ou-telier is an intimate, process-based artist residency and writing retreat located in a historic boatbuilding workshop in the beautiful Quw’utsun/Warmland of the Cowichan Valley, the heart of Vancouver Island.

Since 2001, the Lanesboro Artist Residency Program has welcomed early career artists of all disciplines to live, work and create in the rural context of the greater Lanesboro community. Supported through 2027 by the Jerome Foundation, the Lanesboro Early Career Artist Residency Program awards two to three residencies per year to early career artists with projects that activate the people & places of Lanesboro while instigating positive change. The program’s place-based and community-engaged focus is geared toward early career artists that are driven to explore ways in which their work can be applied to the community and how Lanesboro’s rural community can inform their work.

Divulge is a juried national exhibition or artworks that feature both 2D and 3D artworks from across the country in all mediums that spotlight self expression, are created in art therapy, and/or raise awareness of mental health. Art has been used as a means of communication, self-expression, group interaction, diagnosis, and conflict resolution throughout history. Through art, both people and artists can look for themes and conflicts that may be affecting their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The establishment of art therapy as a unique and publicly accepted therapeutic approach only took place recently, in the mid-20th century.

The JGS Fellowship for Photography is open to New York State photography artists living and working outside of New York City. This fellowship provides financial support to photographers working in regions including Western New York, Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, Central New York, North Country, Mohawk Valley, Capital District, Hudson Valley, and Long Island.

The Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation offers an annual grant to support writers who generate fresh writing and thinking on the history, aesthetics, purposes, imagination, or situation of sculpture. The foundation encourages writers from all backgrounds to explore sculptural rhetoric and contribute to the field. Recipients have one year to complete their project with progress reporting requirements.

The international competition will culminate in an exhibition in MCBA’s Main Gallery of 20–30 selected semi-finalists and a live virtual event revealing the winner. One winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize, four finalists will each receive a $500 cash prize, and all entries will be published on their prize site.

Somos is a four-story community featuring 59 affordable housing units and 11 market-rate apartments, thoughtfully designed with residents aged 55 and older in mind, though welcoming to all. Amenities include a community room, fitness center, on-site food pantry, enrichment services, and first floor retail space. The building sits steps from the ART International District transit station on the iconic Route 66 corridor. The International District is one of Albuquerque’s most culturally rich and diverse neighborhoods, though one that has long been underinvested. This mural is an opportunity to celebrate the neighborhood’s people, resilience, and future.

VAA OpenSpaces is the global, artist-led exhibition initiative that transforms everyday spaces into vibrant art experiences – from cafes, studios and shop windows to digital venues and community hubs. Their aim is to help artists get seen, connect with audiences, and develop their creative careers on your own terms.

The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. It takes place in the shared Artists’ Studio, including the solvent/etching area and the darkroom. Keyholders work independently, in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; printmaking skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended. Basic instruction in printmaking techniques is available for new Keyholders. Technical assistance is not included in the program, but is available at additional cost.

Queensland's premier craft and design organisation, Artisan, is relaunching UNLEASHED, its long-standing biennial emerging makers exhibition, in partnership with HOTA Gold Coast. UNLEASHED+ is reimagined not just as an exhibition but as Queensland's premier career development opportunity for emerging craft and design practitioners. For over two decades, this program has launched careers, and now Artisan is taking support to the next level by offering comprehensive market development support services and mentoring that extend far beyond the traditional exhibition model.

The Eliza Moore Fellowship for Artistic Excellence is awarded annually to one outstanding, early-career artist who is developing new works that address plants, gardens, or landscapes in the broad sense. This award is open to visual artists, literary artists, dancers, and musicians. The award includes a $10,000 individual grant and requires a 2 - 5 week stay at Oak Spring. While at OSGF, the Fellow will be able to meet with staff, explore their 700-acre landscape and their efforts in sustainable land management, and visit their rare book library that holds over 19,000 objects, including many examples of botanical art.

This symposium offers a platform for scholarship that investigates the adaptability of photography and photo history in the face of constraints, be them cultural, governmental, institutional, editorial, individual, or otherwise. What do historians, curators, and photographers do when limitations are placed on their work, and what do the limitations themselves reveal about photography? Relatedly, when is restriction, refusal, or withdrawal protective, strategic, or empowering? Finally, what, if anything, has changed about how the medium navigates social or cultural boundaries—what can we learn from how practitioners have done this in the past that might shed light on present-day questions? Interdisciplinary approaches are welcome, and international scholars are encouraged to submit.

The Artists of Opportunity Residency offers professional artists the opportunity to develop their practice within an inclusive studio environment while collaborating alongside adults with disabilities.
