Accessibility Commitment (last updated April 1, 2026)
Artwork Archive is committed to ensuring our platform can be used by all individuals, regardless of their abilities or the technologies they use to navigate the web.
Our team has implemented accessibility best practices throughout our platform development process, incorporating feedback from users with diverse needs. We regularly test our interface with various assistive technologies to identify and resolve potential barriers.
Measures We Take
To ensure we provide an accessible platform, we implement the following practices:
- Regular Audits: We conduct periodic accessibility audits of our website and platform to identify and address potential barriers.
- User Testing: We engage with users with disabilities to gather feedback on our platform's accessibility and usability.
- Accessibility Training: Our development team receives training on accessibility best practices and standards.
- Inclusive Design: We incorporate accessibility considerations into our design and development processes from the beginning.

Standards and Compliance
Our platform is designed and maintained to conform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. We maintain a current Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), also known as an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR), documenting this conformance. To request a copy, contact [email protected].
Many of our institutional clients — including universities, municipalities, and publicly funded arts organizations — operate under accessibility mandates such as Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Our commitment to maintaining WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across the platform is designed to support these organizations in meeting their digital accessibility obligations.
These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide array of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, we acknowledge that there may be areas of our platform that require further improvement. We are actively working to address these issues and welcome feedback from users to help us identify and resolve accessibility challenges.
Continuous Improvement
We view accessibility as an ongoing process rather than a one-time achievement. As technology evolves and standards improve, we continuously work to enhance the accessibility of our platform.
Our accessibility practices include incorporating accessibility requirements into our product development lifecycle, performing automated and manual testing on new features before release, and reviewing our conformance documentation on a regular basis.
