Elected Artists are artists whose works range from contemporary to traditional in subject and from emerging to nationally recognized in experience. Elected Artist status is granted through a juried selection process. Our panel of jurors evaluates submissions using the following criteria:

• A distinctive/original body of work
• The highest level of technical ability
• A cohesive body of work
• A written statement of intent
• Work commensurate with the work of our current Elected Artists.

If you are accepted as an EA Member, you would be included in an exhibition at ALRI, highlighting new EA Members with a body of work, statement, and artist talk on June 25th, 2026.
Dates of Exhibition: June 20 - August 2, 2026
New EA Members Reception and Artist Talk: June 25, 6 pm

All media considered

Open to artists 18 years or older.

Art League RI is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We strongly encourage submissions from artists of all backgrounds and experiences.

Application Requirements:

1. 10 images of recent work (completed within the last ten years)*
2. Artist statement (max 200 words)
3. Bio (Max 200 words)
4. CV/Resume 
5. Image list with detailed information: Title, Year, Materials, Dimensions (inches)
6. Application Fee: A non-refundable entry fee of $40 must be submitted with this application. 


*Image Requirements:
  • All images should be a minimum of 1920 pixels on the longest edge (width or height)
  • All images should be jpgs.
  • File size of around 600 KB should be adequate. Maximum file size 2500 KB
  • Name each jpg with your name and a numeral matching your image: first name_last name_01 (e.g., Don_Johnson_01.jpg)

Rules and Terms:

Applicants will receive notification of the jurors' decision approximately one month after the submission deadline. ALRI will not process incomplete applications. Additional promotional, professional, and biographical information must be made available upon acceptance into ALRI.

By submitting this entry, I understand that the information disclosed in this application is confidential and will be part of my permanent file. I agree that if I am accepted for Elected Artist membership, I am eligible for participation in scheduled events, benefits, competitions, ALRI website postings, and newsletter publicity. I understand that I am subject to and must abide by the policies and guidelines outlined in the bylaws and by the administration of ALRI. ALRl reserves the right to use all submitted images for general publicity purposes and inclusion in the ALRI website. By submitting this application, I agree that this Application is electronically signed.
