ELIGIBILITY
Artists from any country are welcome to apply with works in any medium: painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, installation, crafts, fashion, illustration, and more. Selected artists will be featured in Issue 12 set to release at the end of November 2024. Selected artists will be contacted via email for an interview.
There is no specific theme for this issue.

This is a juried competition, selected artists will be featured in Issue 12 of Divide Magazine.
HOW TO APPLY
You may submit multiple entries for different projects/works, there is no limit.
Submission fees are non-refundable.
The deadline to submit all works is November 18th, 2024. Please note that submissions may close prior to this date if capacity is reached. We encourage artists to apply early, as space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

You can enter multiple times and in each submission you will have the opportunity to upload 3 items
Artists must ensure high quality of images, at least 300 dpi jpeg recommended.

Tendrils is seeking submissions of visual art and short-form literature for its premiere issue. As an art and literary journal, Tendrils is dedicated to fostering healing and sparking conversations around trauma.
The first edition of Tendrils will explore the profound theme of trauma and the body—how it is held, manifested, and transmitted in physical form. Creators are invited to interpret this theme in their unique way, whether conceptually in abstraction or more realistically.
Art submissions in any medium or size that explore the themes of trauma and the body are welcome.
For literature, Tendrils is looking for short-form pieces (maximum 1,000 words) such as poetry, essays, and short stories that focus on this theme. The journal is also open to considering an excerpt if a long-form work aligns with the topic

The culmination of the residency centers on the artist’s research and development of new work that showcases ideas and work created during their six-week stay at Los Luceros.
Public engagement opportunities include, but are not limited to: an artist talk or exhibition, workshop, temporary site-specific installations, performances, etc. Artwork and community engagement should be safe and appropriate for both children and adults, ADA compliant, and should not permanently alter the environment when removed.

Every year KIRA awards 6 artists with a multi-week residency. As part of the residency, artists will be asked to engage with the community for up to six hours a week. These engagements will vary based on skills and interest and can include a partnership with Kingsbrae Garden which is located just steps away from the residence and studios.
Applications are open to a range of disciplines and types of artists including but not limited to the visual arts, music/composition, writing, new media, and interdisciplinary arts. Grant opportunity for the Emerging Artist Program
This program is designed specifically for artists who are beginning their career with very little experience exhibiting and selling their artwork at any venue. The application procedure and fee are the same as the regular show however, upon acceptance, emerging artists will pay a lower booth fee $350, have a tent provided and includes workshop, artist mentoring, support for lodging and will sell and showcase their work at the 2025 CCAF.
CherryArts is thrilled to offer a grant support for artists. In conjunction with the emerging artist program, selected artists will receive a $5,000 grant to enhance and expand their creative practices. This funding is unrestricted, allowing artists to pursue their careers and support all aspects of their work, which is not limited to creating the actual artwork. Upon signing the grant contract, 90% of funds will be disbursed to the artist providing them with immediate support. Artists are required to submit a report and have an exit interview detailing how they utilized the funds within 7 months of receiving the grant (September). Following the submission of the report, the final 10% will be released.

It's that time again: every three years, the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen awards the "Linocut Today" graphic design prize, now in its thirteenth year. Founded in 1989, the prize has long since become an institution and has established itself as one of the most important international graphic design awards: its focus on a single technique is also an absolutely unique selling point. All forms of artistic linocut are welcome: from small-format black and white sheets to huge colorful works. There are no limits to imagination and creativity!
The award-winning works will be acquired for the linocut collection of the Städtische Galerie Bietigheim-Bissingen. Furthermore, the jury decides on the purchase of three further works and determines the exhibits for the exhibition. A catalogue will be published.
