The Yellowstone Art Museum is pleased to be seeking submissions for Yellowstone Art Auction 56. We invite participating artists to join in the celebration of our 60th anniversary year in 2024! Yellowstone Art Auction 56 raises crucial support for the exhibitions and educational programs that the Yellowstone Art Museum presents to the community year-round. This exhibition will include silent and live auction artworks. New this year: an option to submit to our small works display! The works will be on display at the Yellowstone Art Museum beginning Friday, February 2, 2024, culminating in a Silent and Live Auction Gala on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

This juried exhibition will feature artworks centered upon the concept of selfhood. It will consider how selfhood is constructed, altered, and reimagined. Contemporary artists investigate the multiplicitous nature of selfhood: gender, sexual orientation, race, class, age, ethnicity, and so forth. Artworks may consider selfhood outside the traditional Western views of self. Selfhood, as a dichotomy, can reflect cultural norms and be a source of resistance to them. Navigating selfhood during disruptive times can lead to crossroads of crisis; thereby, artists may present visualizations of selfhood that explore the process of self-discovery, self-definition, and self-direction.
What are aspects of resilient selfhood? How can others define our selfhood? These questions are explored in the arts. The protagonist, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, from the film On the Basis of Sex exemplifies the resiliency of selfhood.

ArtFields is an exhibition and competition that is strongly committed to celebrating Southern art and the stories that artists have to tell. Selected artworks will be exhibited throughout Lake City, South Carolina, and be in the running for cash prizes. There is a $25 submission fee.

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum invites you to enter the 43rd Annual Western Spirit Juried Art Show & Sale. Over 100 western artworks will be selected in the premier juried art show in the Rocky Mountain region for new and emerging artists who depict the American West in the historic Carriage Hall at the CFD Old West Museum March 2nd - April 14th, 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging artist to come and live and work at East Quay in Watchet, Somerset, for up to two weeks in early 2024. We are looking for an energetic, hands-on individual to create artwork in Pod 5, which can inspire our visitors and guests throughout 2024.
Eligibility: We want our organisation to be representative of all sections of society and welcome applications from everyone. Practitioners from any creative background are welcome to apply and we are open to proposals from artists working in all mediums. We seek artwork that creates an immersive atmosphere within the space, engaging physically and conceptually with the surroundings. We welcome wall-based proposals but are also open to 3D concepts and ideas.

Vestige Concept Gallery Presents their winter contemporary exhibition NOËL NOIR. This exhibit aims to showcase works of art that most prominently features the colors black and white. Artwork does not have to be representative of any holiday or religion, although it may feature winter imagery, "noir" imagery (ala noir film/photography/mystery/deep contrast) and/or contain minimalist aspects. Work that is primarily black and white but includes a touch of a complimentary color is also acceptable and these works should not be discouraged from applying. This show also aims to highlight contemporary elegance. Jewelry art or sculpture that is done in metals with traditional metallic color tones (i.e. silver) is also acceptable for this opportunity.
All artists are asked to consider their body of work and how black and white and/or noir themes differentiate their practice. Works can be from any medium, and should have sales appeal for the holiday season.

This exhibition aims to spotlight the essence behind each artistic creation, underscoring that every piece tells a unique tale awaiting discovery.

Excitingly, the globally celebrated art critic, Tabish Khan, will grace our opening event on the 10th of November, delivering an insightful speech on the exhibition's theme.

Tabish Khan, a fervent advocate for making art universally accessible, is a renowned art critic entrenched in London's vibrant art scene. As the visual arts editor for Londonist and a regular contributor to Culture Whisper, he's a trusted voice, offering weekly top exhibition insights for FAD through his discerning column "What's Wrong with Art". The Lewisham Arthouse Graduate Award is an exciting opportunity providing recent graduates (between 2020-2023) with free studio space and production support for one year. It is a studio and mentorship award for recent graduates from university and alternative art education programs. There is no application fee, and the award lasts one year. It provides a first-floor.

The Stanley Bleifeld Memorial Grant is a prize of $5,000 sponsored by the National Sculpture Society. It is awarded annually to a sculptor who has demonstrated outstanding ability as a sculptor and who has created a body of work inspired by nature which includes works of sculpture in the round and in bas-relief. The Lexington-Fayette Urban Co. Government’s Public Arts Commission invites professional and practicing artists and artist/design teams, residing in Kentucky, Indiana, or Ohio, to submit qualifications to propose a permanent, site-specific outdoor artwork for the green space located at the Old Frankfort Pike entrance to the Lexington Detention Center grounds.
Lexington-Fayette Urban Co. Government’s Percent for Art program provides 1% of the total budgeted cost for capital improvement projects to be dedicated to the purpose of funding public art on city property.
A unique facility, the Lexington Detention Center is juxtaposed with the more rural area of picturesque horse farms and is located along a National Scenic Byway, which links one of Lexington’s distinctive entertainment districts, with business parks, McConnell Springs Park, and a beautiful and historic surrounding landscape.

In partnership with the City of Frankfort, Josephine Sculpture Park is seeking a qualified artist or artist team to design and install a mixed-media mosaic/mural art installation on the interior back wall of a 4 story stairwell as part of a new transit center and parking garage in downtown Frankfort KY. The all-inclusive budget for the installation is up to $70,000.
This project is part of a multi-year public art initiative, installing sculptures and murals throughout the city in an effort to make Frankfort the “Public Art Capital of Kentucky.” Eye-catching art has transformed empty walls and infrastructure into public canvases, showcasing what’s unique about Frankfort. The 39th Annual International Exhibition is a juried visual art competition organized by the Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas at Tyler. Internationally known artists, curators, and scholars have served as jurors selecting works for exhibition created by some of the best contemporary artists working today. The Department purchases three to six works from the exhibition each year; purchased works are added to our permanent collection. The permanent collection serves as an educational teaching resource; much of the permanent collection is exhibited throughout the UT Tyler main campus.

For our purposes, a portal can be an architectural feature (gate, window, doorway, mirror, tunnel) that frames or isolates or adds dimension to an image. In a fictional sense, a portal can become a magical doorway through time and space. Alone or in combination, they hold unlimited creative possibilities for photographers.

For “Portals: Windows, Mirrors, and Doors”, we're looking for images that use these devices in intriguing ways. All capture methods and processes are welcome.

We are very pleased that Roula Seikaly will jury this exhibition. She will select 35 images for exhibition in our Middlebury, Vermont gallery and up to 40 more for our Online Gallery. All 75 images will be reproduced in the exhibition catalog.

Artwork for the new RI Office of State Medical Examiners will be commissioned by the Department of Capital Asset, Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) on behalf of the RI Department of Health (RIDOH) and the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts (RISCA) through Rhode Island’s Public Art Law, which mandates that 1% of all state capital construction and renovation funds be allocated to the purchase and maintenance of public art. Through this program, the State recognizes that “public art creates a more humane environment: one of distinction, enjoyment, and pride for all citizens.”
Suitable artwork might:
Be calming, peaceful, soothing, familiar; feel homey; create a sense of the familiar, of belonging or connection, perhaps through the use of imagery that evokes Rhode Island or New England;
Be a series of works that connect the spaces;
Offer texture, such as textiles, weaving, collage or quilting, to alleviate the interior finishes which are very plain; or,
Be sound-based. While this Call is primarily for visual works, an interdisciplinary approach that combines audio and visual elements is of interest.

The Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, FL, invites emerging artists currently residing in Florida to submit entries for possible exhibition in the eighth annual Fresh Squeezed: Emerging Artists in Florida. The exhibition will be held at the Morean Arts Center April 13 – June 27, 2024. Our Mission:

The Studio Residency Grant is a six- to eight-week residency for artists to create new work in any of our studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics (facilities reopen 2025). WSW invites applications from artists at any stage in their careers.

This grant includes a stipend of $350/week, up to $500 for materials used during the residency, up to $250 for travel within the Continental US, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WSW can also provide technical advice and production assistance.

This residency has a two-step jury process: a rotating, impartial jury selects the finalists and then WSW applies for NEA funding for the chosen projects.

Residency duration: 6-8 weeks

The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Artist’s Book Residency Grant for Indigenous Artists is a ten week residency for North American Indigenous artists to produce a limited edition book work. Working intensively in our studios, artists print and bind their own books, and are encouraged to create an edition size no larger than 100 and no smaller than 50.

The grant includes a stipend of $350/week, up to $1000 for materials, full travel reimbursement, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WSW provides technical advice; training on new equipment, techniques, and materials; and production assistance. The contract stipulates that 20% of the edition goes to WSW’s archive, exhibition, and display copies; 20% of the edition goes to the artist; and 60% of the edition goes to general sales.

The Governor’s Capitol Art Exhibition is a biennial juried exhibit that celebrates the work of Wyoming artists. The exhibition was established in 2000 under an initiative by Governor Geringer and is organized by the Wyoming State Museum and the Wyoming Arts Council.
This exhibition is the primary avenue for the state museum to acquire modern Wyoming art for its Capitol and permanent collections. The art for the Capitol collection is selected by the State’s five elected officials and representatives from other state agencies. While the museum’s curators select purchase awards for the Museum’s permanent art collection. All other artwork in the exhibition is available for sale to the general public.

Inspire wonder for the natural world with a spark of light! Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison, WI illuminates 16-acres of lush gardens and a glass conservatory brimming with tropical plants for GLEAM, an annual public art exhibition featuring large-scale light installations. We're calling all light art luminaries to submit an installation concept that will enhance the natural landscape of our native-focused botanical garden. $6,000-$20,000 per installation. Special consideration will be given to proposals presenting interactive experiences, site specific engagement, botanically inspired or entomology focused concepts, large-scale murals involving UV or projection mapping, AR features, and community collaborations.

"Analog Realities" is an upcoming exhibition that aims to explore the complexities surrounding the nature of image-making through the lens of analog photography and alternative-style photography.

We are especially interested in how the intentionality of this slower, analog process affects the relationship to the work itself. This complex interplay invites viewers to consider not just what the image shows, but also what it is, thereby enriching our understanding of what an image can be.

The 2024-2025 program begins September 5, 2024 and ends August 5, 2025. The studios are located on the lower level of our building at 92 Plymouth Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn and range in size from 250 to 300 square feet. The program does not provide living space.

We invite photographers to submit work that explores the theme of beauty in all its forms. Beauty is a complex, subjective and multi-faceted concept that can be interpreted in many different ways. We encourage photographers to capture their unique perspective on beauty through abstract, conceptual, narrative, or portrait photography. We're interested in seeing work that goes beyond the traditional and explores beauty in a way that surprises and excites us. Whether it's the beauty of nature, the beauty of the human form, or the beauty of the mundane, we’re interested in seeing photography that illuminates the extraordinary in the ordinary. This call is open to all forms and categories of photography with the exception of AI-generated work.

Our National Juried Show is open to creators in the United States aged 13 years of age and older. The theme is A Sense of Place, with four categories of visual arts:
Photography (Digital and Film)
Photography includes visual works created within a camera and processed using traditional darkroom or digital darkroom/lightroom software tools resulting in a printed work.
Painting, Drawing, Illustration
Painting, drawing, and illustration includes visual works created by hand using traditional analog techniques on a variety of surfaces that can be hung on a wall, with or without frames (such as stretched canvases).
Mixed Media
Mixed media are visual works created using a combination of materials and analog and digital processes, such as collage and assemblage. As long as the piece can hang on a wall and meets our physical specifications, we’ll consider it. Surprise us!
Graphic and Digital Art
Graphic and digital art are visual works originating inside a computer, regardless of form factor (desktop, laptop, smartphone). These works are printed, framed and ready to hang.
Our juror for our first National Juried Show is Mary Anne Redding, who serves as Senior Curator at the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC.
One work of art per entry, with the option to upload three total images for a single work of art. For example, the second and third images could be details of a painting.
Uploaded images should be high enough resolution to appropriately display submitted work. Several standard image file formats are accepted. Please check the submission page for specifics.
Additional works of art can be submitted in a single category, subject to a $5 media fee.
Artists may enter multiple categories for the competition as long as they pay a separate entry fee in each category. For example, an individual artist could enter work into the photography and mixed media categories, each requiring a $30 entry fee.
All artworks entered into competition will also be considered for publication in The Upper New Review, regardless of contest outcome.

Worldwide Artist Open call

​Portraits show, in a subjective way, how the artist sees the person he painted. But portraits can also contain an imagined story. In that case, the portrait is a self-expression of the artist. Each of the stories in Portrait address the rich and complex conditions of contemporary life, creating a space in which we can deepen our understanding of the world and its edges.

We ​are now accepting submissions for our 3D Virtual Exhibition "Portraits". Any artist from any background can submit any of their work. We accept work in all types of techniques: painting, drawing, collage, digital art, photography, video, sculpture. There is no charge to submit your application, please feel free to share your work with us.

We publish the works of selected artists on our Instagram account with 11 thousand followers.

A processing fee 25 € is applied per artist once they have been selected for the exhibition. Our team will review all applications and the selected works will be announced.

UNTITLED 18: SooVAC’s 18TH Annual Juried Show

Untitled offers artists the opportunity to work with a professional art space and influential art figures toward producing an exhibition with a highly regarded reputation. We accept all mediums from artists at any stage in their careers. The work will be selected from the submitted work samples, so make sure that the work is available for exhibition.

GUEST JUROR: Danielle Krysa (The Jealous Curator) *One of the selected Untitled 18 artists will be invited to have a solo exhibition in SooVAC's project space.

ABOUT THIS YEARS JUROR: Danielle Krysa has a BFA in Visual Arts, and a post-grad in graphic design. She is the writer behind the contemporary art site, The Jealous Curator (est. 2009), and has curated art shows all over North America. Danielle is also an artist herself, and her narrative mixed media work is held in private collections worldwide. She is the author of several art books, including “Creative Block”, “Your Inner Critic Is A Big Jerk”, “A Big Important Art Book - Now with Women”, and two children’s books; “How To Spot An Artist” and “Art and Joy”. Danielle has had the great pleasure of speaking at TEDx, PIXAR, Creative Mornings, and was interviewed in series of video segments on oprah.com about breaking through creative blocks and self-doubt.

2. WORK SAMPLES-EXACTLY 5 IMAGES (FOR VIDEO SEE BELOW*) Group exhibitions or collaborative projects are also accepted, but the images cannot exceed 5.

 Digital Image Specifications: Images should be in a JPEG format no larger than 1000 x 1000 pixels @ 72 dpi. Format each jpeg file name as “Artist’s last name_Artist’s first name_1.jpg,” “Artist’s last name_ Artist’s first name_2.jpg,” etc. Each JPEG may not exceed 1MB and 1000 pixels in any direction. *Video Submissions are also accepted in .mov format, no larger than 200MB, and no more than 2 min clips for each video submission label the same as image files. Work samples cannot exceed five but can be a combination of video and image files.

Every year KIRA awards 6 artists with a one month residency. Artists are provided with individual studio space, comfortable housing, two prepared meals each day and live on a historic property in a beautiful seaside town. Artists should bring all supplies and materials needed for their creative process, to ensure availability of required supplies and provisions. As part of the residency, artists will be asked to engage with the community for up to six hours a week. These engagements will vary based on skills and interest and can include a partnership with Kingsbrae Garden which is located just steps away from the residence and studios.

Akademie Schloss Solitude supports young artists and scientists, as well as cultural professionals via residential fellowships. Scholarships are usually awarded for a period of six, nine or twelve months.

As a fellow at the Akademie, you'll receive a furnished living/working studio with utilities, a €1,200 monthly grant, and a one-time travel expense for arrival and departure. We also offer optional benefits, including material transport subsidies, project funding, and health insurance for non-EU candidates, all adjustable to our current budget.
The Solitude fellowship is a residential fellowship and fellows are obliged to spend at least two-thirds of their fellowships at the Akademie. All fellows must have their permanent residence in Stuttgart for the fellowship’s duration (obligation to register residence).

Duration: six, nine, twelve months

The Annual National Drawing and Small Sculpture Show attracts works by contemporary artists across the country and is judged by a guest juror of national stature. Resulting Purchase Awards have built an impressive Permanent Collection at Del Mar College.
This year's 57th show runs February 16, 2024, opening reception 6-8 p.m. and closes May 1, 2024. Accepted artwork is displayed in the distinctive Joseph A. Cain Memorial Gallery

The PleinAir Salon Art Competition is a monthly online art competition that awards over $50,000 each year. There is $2,050 in Cash Prizes awarded each month, and $22,000 awarded at the Annual Competition each May. Each of the 23 monthly winners are included in the judging for the 13th Annual PleinAir Salon where we award the Grand Prize winner a check for $15,000 and feature their painting on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. The Annual Awards will be presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo in May 2024.

Because this competition is created by PleinAir magazine, which features not only plein air paintings, but also studio paintings, all types of paintings are eligible and do not need to have been completed in plein air. As we know, many studio paintings start with plein air sketches, and many plein air painters paint figures and still life. Our interest is in rewarding great paintings.

ArtTracks is an outdoor juried exhibit of work view-able by pedestrian and vehicular traffic installed on private property throughout downtown. Art enthusiasts from Texas area attend and we project continued growth each year with promotion and marketing.
Funding for this year period is $1200 per sculpture and the opportunity to win cash award (People's Choice) 1st place $500, 2nd place $350 and 3rd place $150.
Up to 6 artists will be selected this year for a 2 year placement Feb 2024 - 2026. Artists are encouraged to submit work for consideration even if there is a current piece in our show.
Art Requirement: THEME: History or Railroad is encouraged.
