Ramona Residency, founded in 2024, is a nonprofit organization based in Houston and the first dedicated artist mother residency in Texas. Their mission is two-fold: enrich the Houston arts landscape by inviting artists to engage with the community through artist talks and pop up exhibitions while simultaneously creating opportunities to amplify the voices and creative practices of Artist Mothers. The Ramona Residency offers each artist mother dedicated time, space, financial support, and networking opportunities with curators, collectors, fellow artists, and the local community to strengthen and diversify their artistic practice. The two-four week fully funded residency includes furnished accommodations in a 2-1 home that doubles as the art studio along with a materials and a childcare stipend. Artists are chosen from an open call and application process. Half of the residency slots are dedicated to supporting BIPOC women. The residency hosts one artist and her family at a time with the hopes of inviting two or more artists each session in the future.

This Public Art Mural Grant is a 2-week residency in which an artist will create an original work for WSW’s mural wall. The mural space at Women’s Studio Workshop faces the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail (WVRT), which is an active outdoor public trail used primarily for walking, running and cycling. It is estimated that approximately 3,000-5,000 WVRT users pass by the facilities on a monthly basis, many coming onto the campus to view the current mural, or inquire about the organization. The mural space is 10′ x 23.5′ and overlooks an ADA accessible bluestone patio where staff, students, residents, and visitors often gather for meals.

The Harden Art Prize is a prestigious national acquisitive award recognising excellence in Australian landscape painting. Open to artists across the country, the Harden Art Prize offers $15,000 in prize money and the opportunity for national exposure. Accepted mediums include watercolour, acrylic, and oils. Finalists’ works will be exhibited in Harden–Murrumburrah, NSW, from 18–26 April 2026, where winners will be announced. Artwork painting depicting a landscape, original work of the artist, executed entirely in the 12 months prior to entry closing date, not exhibited previously in any other art prize or award. No more than 150cm x 150cm

At Kala, Artists-In-Residence work in a productive and professional communal studio alongside other working artists. In this self-driven experience, artists are expected to respect the equipment, the studio working environment, and to bring their own consumable supplies (paper and ink). Kala’s large print studio and electronic media center do not close and are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Resident artists have their own keys and are welcome to use the studio whenever they choose as long as they abide by the terms of their contract. All artists receive their own onsite storage. On successful completion of a residency, artists may apply for longer residencies.

The Veterans Residency Program is funded in part by Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant program is managed by Mid-America Arts Alliance. They are excited to launch a new Curatorial Fellowship this cycle at Kala. For the inaugural program we are accepting applications from Bay Area curators, artists, and cultural workers to provide research and exhibition development opportunities. The year-long program culminates in an 8-10 week exhibition in the Kala Gallery. For this pilot program, Kala will select and support one Curatorial Fellow who will receive a $3000 stipend, an available desk in the gallery office for exhibition research and development, a Kala art class or workshop, access to Kala’s permanent collection of over 2,500 prints and works on paper, mentorship by a local curator from a museum program, support from Kala’s exhibitions and collections team, Mayumi Hamanaka and Sonya Castillo, and exhibition support (Kala will pay an additional 40 hours directly to Kala’s installers for for install/deinstall and up to $3,000 for artist honoraria, shipping, materials, and other misc exhibition costs for the Curatorial Fellow’s 8-10 week exhibition in the Kala Gallery to take place between September 2027 – January 2028.)

The program is open to professional visual, literary, and performance artists:  painters, writers, musicians, architects, filmmakers, and choreographers… any artist who needs a place to focus.  However, because of the property’s limitations and proximity to neighbors, it is not a place that can accommodate loud or terribly messy processes, such as welding or blacksmithing. Surel’s Place Residency favors artists whose work is technically advanced, unique, attractive (need not be pretty!), and conceptually valuable.  Work that is predominantly conceptual, that must be explained in order to attract a viewer, may not be met with as much enthusiasm by our jurists.

For artists and scholars interested in immersing in drawing research, this is a hands-on investigation of material-driven, embodied, and pansensory modes of drawing, thinking through a geological lens. With a focus on badlands geology, the session combines field excursions, drawing experiments, material demonstrations and conversations with ample time to draw independently in dialogue with the natural environment and develop projects of personal interest. Each participant will have the opportunity to share insights from their individual practice as we engage with drawing in the expanded field, spanning disciplines and processes.

This new Summer Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. It takes place in the LESP's Community Studio, including the solvent/etching area and darkroom. Keyholders work independently, in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; some familiarity with the medium is required. Artists with specific printmaking projects are highly encouraged apply.

The 2026-2027 Fellowship program period is July 2026 – June 2027. Artists must be able to schedule a residency during that time. The Fellowship group exhibition schedule is to be determined. Artists enrolled in a degree-granting program during the fellowship program period are not eligible for the Fellowship, but are eligible for the Artist-in-Residence program. Artists are encouraged to apply to the Fellowship and Artist Residency – a single application (March 1st, 2026 deadline). Each year, Kala provides fellowships to artists from a variety of disciplines based on conceptual creativity, originality, and artistic excellence in and across multiple media.

Kala’s Artist-in-Residence (AIR) program offers 24-hour access to the printmaking workshop, digital lab, black and white darkroom, sculpture and textiles lab (textiles, wood shop, kiln, and slab roller), individual storage space, access to Kala’s gallery with potential exhibition opportunities, professional development resources including classes, and participation in a vital, international artist community. The Millsaps College Art Department seeks proposals for solo and group exhibitions for the Hall Gallery to be displayed during the 2026-28 academic years. The department can provide up to $500 as a reimbursement stipend to exhibiting artists for things like travel, lodging, and shipping. The Art of Progress Prize is dsm-firmenich’s inaugural global award where art, innovation, and sustainability intersect – supporting the next generation of creative changemakers. They invite artists aged 35 and under from anywhere in the world whose multi-sensory, environmentally conscious practices – from bio-art and data visualization to scent-driven installations – push creative boundaries. A Selection Committee of experts will nominate ten finalists, among whom up to five will be selected to present their work in an exhibition at the Swiss headquarters on the 18th of June 2026. The Tyler School of Art and Architecture invites applications for a spring 2027 residency in the Art Department. The City of Ventura Parks & Recreation Department's Arts & Culture Section is seeking proposals from professional artists or artist teams for the design, fabrication, and installation of a permanent tiled sculpture or sculptural installation as part of the Surfers Point Phase II Improvement Project. This Request for Proposals invites artists to submit a preliminary concept and budget for a free-standing tiled artwork to be installed alongside the new pedestrian walkway at Surfers Point.

Placer Community Foundation (PCF) is a nonprofit public benefit corporation which manages the Susan Cooley Gilliom Artist in Residence & Teaching Program (SCG ART Program). In partnership with PCF the program is housed through Blue Line Arts in Roseville, CA.

The SCG ART program brings established artists to Placer County for the purpose of teaching and sharing their artistic talents and experience to the greater community. The program was lovingly established at PCF in memory of a local artist, Susan Cooley Gilliom, by her family. Both Susan and her mother took part in workshops from established and talented artists across the country. In the Present calls on artists to respond to the urgency of now. This moment is marked by overlapping crises, rapid change, and negotiations of power, identity, survival, and resistance. Arts Council Korea (ARKO) invites artists, producers, and engineers aged 39 or under from around the world to APE CAMP 2026. The program aims to nurture creative talent and activate sustainable networks for the convergence of art and technology. Through the camp, participants are supported in developing new ideas and building global networks.

Selected participants, referred to as ‘Campers,' will gather in Seoul metropolitan area and be randomly assigned to 24 teams. Each team will consist of artists, producers, and engineers from diverse countries and fields. Team members will brainstorm innovative ideas, develop collaborative concepts into feasible projects, and ultimately pitch their outcomes to fellow participants.

They look forward to welcoming 120 creative practitioners from around the world. The APE CAMP 2025 Open Call received applications from more than 40 countries. Campers selected through the APE CAMP 2026 Open Call will have the opportunity to meet leading global experts working across art and technology.

The Windgate Artist in Residence at UA Little Rock is a semester-long residency program open to artists, designers, and craftspeople. This residency offers the selected applicant the opportunity to create work and engage with the School of Art and Design community, as well as the greater Little Rock community.

Bogliasco Fellowships are merit-based and awarded to gifted artists and scholars without regard to nationality, age, race, gender, religion, physical ability or any other status. In the Arts, the Center welcomes individuals doing both creative and scholarly work. A typical residency cohort includes one individual from each discipline area, an age range between 30 and 80, a mix of genders, and at least half from countries outside the United States. Bogliasco awards approximately 60 one-month Fellowships each year.

Artist Grant has supported artists worldwide since 2017 by providing an unrestricted $1,200 grant to one artist three times each year. The next deadline is March 15, 2026. The grant is open to visual artists 18 years of age and older from anywhere in the world, working in any media (excluding film/video, music, theater, and dance).

La Becque | Artist Residency was developed under the auspices of the Fondation Françoise Siegfried-Meier. The program is oriented towards established as well as up-and-coming artists with high potential for development. The residency program dedicates particular attention to projects that focus on the interplay between nature and technology—two notions that are more than ever intertwined and lie at the heart of contemporary concerns.

SOMA Summer is a summer school conducted in English that weaves together theoretical inquiry, artistic practice, and the discussion of contemporary global issues. Each edition is framed by a specific theme that serves as a point of departure for fostering processes of mutual listening, dialogue, and collective learning. "Towards a Planetary Consciousness for Hyper-Mediated Times". SOMA Summer 2026 will explore how to imagine a planetary consciousness in hyper-mediated and fragmented times. Drawing on Achille Mbembe’s concept of borderization and the notion of planetary entanglement, the program will look at how contemporary media regimes, politics, and technologies operate within these conditions.

Artist Grant awards an unrestricted $1200 USD grant to one visual artist three times each year. They showcase grantees on their website, social media, and marketing materials. They also feature selected applicants (with permission) on their social media to celebrate and promote artists. They hope this provides insight into the wide range of creative efforts they consider. Artists retain their copyrights.

The 15th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition with 11 monthly cycles, and is open to a variety of mediums and styles. It’s not just for plein air painters! They invite a variety of top master artists, museum directors and gallery owners to judge each month. All monthly winners are automatically included in the Annual Competition where the Grand Prize winner receives $15,000 and has their painting featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine, the #1 representational art magazine at Barnes & Noble. Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale (AOP) is a project of the Allina Health Foundation and Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute (CKRI). It is one of only a handful of juried art shows in the world exclusively featuring artists with disabilities. The first of its kind and held every year since 1963, the Art Show & Sale is a much-anticipated celebration of fine arts attracting hundreds of artists and thousands of visitors from Minnesota and around the world. This is an open call for all artists in New Mexico to submit their best work to them for their inaugural exhibition, This is Us. This extraordinary exhibition is a celebration of the art and artists of New Mexico. Their beautiful exhibition space is 14,000 square feet and is located on Central Avenue (the historic Route 66) in downtown ​Albuquerque. Their building is on the National Register of Historic Places, too.

In cooperation with the Liturgical Arts Festival of Springfield (LAFS), in Springfield, Illinois, the Springfield Art Association (SAA) will host a juried exhibition of liturgical and sacred art as part of the biennial, interfaith Liturgical Arts Festival: Sacred Rhythm/Sacred Pattern. All spiritual interpretations, approaches and media are welcome. A theme of rhythm and pattern is a subtext. We aim for an exhibition of work that will support diversity, promote understanding, and foster tolerance.

Ortega y Gasset Projects is pleased to announce an Open Call for TWO Solo Exhibitions opening in January, 2027: one in the Main gallery space at OyG and one in The Skirt, OyG's dedicated space for site-specific installations. National Works on Paper (NWOP) is one of Australia’s most prestigious acquisitive awards. A biennial exhibition, its role is to support and promote contemporary Australian artists working on or with paper. With a long and rich history, National Works on Paper attracts leading contemporary artists from across Australia working in the fields of drawing, printmaking, digital prints and paper sculpture. Recent winners include d Harding, Anna Hoyle, Annika Romeyn, James Tylor & Laura Wills, Daniel O’Shane, Jess Johnson, Laith McGregor, Richard Lewer, Danie Mellor, Gareth Sansom, Paul Boston, Lisa Roet and eX de Medici.

The LUX Center for the Arts, in partnership with Constellation Studios, presents Surface Impressions: Coloratura, the fourth biennial exhibition of contemporary relief printmaking. This international juried exhibition features hand-produced relief prints, including woodblock, linoleum cut, wood engraving, and mixed media relief works by artists from across the world.

Surface Impressions highlights the continued relevance of relief printmaking as a dynamic and adaptable medium, showcasing a wide range of approaches to carving, printing, and color. The 2026 theme, Coloratura, emphasizes experimentation with color, layering, and surface, revealing how artists use relief processes to create bold visual impact and nuanced material expression.

Prints in this exhibition are selected through an open call and juried by Janine Wong, a multidisciplinary artist, designer, and printmaker whose work explores color, systems, and abstraction.

The RAL is situated in the town of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, a highly traveled area not only by the residents of this and the expanding surrounding communities, but also by art patrons from the Washington DC, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and New York metropolitan areas. Over 30,000 people participate in Rehoboth Art League programs annually. Special exhibitions have played an important part of their programming since the league’s beginning, in1938. The RAL campus houses the Corkran, Tubbs, Ventures, and Homestead galleries.

In 2021, LKV and ArtScene Trondheim initiated a collaboration aimed at highlighting the role of art criticism in Norway through a residency program. The cultural city of Trondheim has experienced rapid growth in recent years, with new artist collectives, private art galleries, museums, and theatres emerging. Therefore, they wish to invite critics from outside the city to immerse themselves in the vibrant local art scene. Selected critics are offered accommodation and a workspace for up to one month at Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder.

The Courageously Created Fine Art Show & Auction is a juried, in-person exhibition and benefit auction held April 25–26, 2026, at the new Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center Arena in Wenatchee, WA. Alatheia changes lives with the healing power of horses, providing equine-assisted services for children and adults with disabilities, and for veterans and first responders navigating trauma. This event unites courage and creativity through the healing power of horses and the arts while raising vital funds to complete Alatheia’s capital project to expand capacity and eliminate the waitlist, ensuring more people can access services they need.

The juror will select 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, plus three honorable mentions.

For this art exhibition Las Laguna Art Gallery asked artists to interpret and depict outdoor scenery, and geographical environments’ including Landscapes or Seascapes.

Landscapes traditionally include natural scenery such as mountains, valleys, trees, rivers, and forests, especially where the main subject is a wide view - with its elements arranged into a coherent composition.

Seascapes can include geographical features such as shorelines, beaches, oceans, as well as include structures such as lighthouses or lifeguard shacks.

For abstract works landscapes can include colors, shapes or mark making that expresses the concept or idea of landscapes.

Every May The Delaplaine hosts our National Juried Exhibition, showcasing work from artists all over the country in a vast display of media, talent and exploration!

Accepted artists have their work on display through the months of May, June and into July and have the opportunity to win a grand prize award of $1,000, second place for $500, third place, for $250 or honorable mention award for $125.

Accepted artwork will be announced on April 2.

Rumriver Art Center is calling for artists to submit works inspired by memories. People are all a beautiful tapestry of experiences, sometimes neatly woven, other times chaotically snarled. They encourage artists to look inwards on the memories that they hold most dear to their hearts, whether those be quiet moments of peace and harmony, defining moments of hope or strength, times of love and care, or even fleeting feelings of times gone by. This show is on display at Rumriver Art Center from April 25th – May 30th, 2026. The exhibition will then move to the Anoka County Library’s Northtown branch and be on display from June 1st through August 6th, 2026.

Umpqua Valley Arts is proud to present an open call for artists to submit to our upcoming exhibit: Malleable.

Soft Sculpture in art refers to three-dimensional works made from flexible materials like cloth, foam, or rubber. These sculptures can sometimes take a mixed-media approach, and are often malleable with drooping, sagging, and draping characteristics. In some cases, they even seem to float once installed. Soft Sculpture often challenges the traditional notions of sculpture, which are often made with hard and oftentimes more durable materials which make them rigid as a result. The mediums used in the realm of soft sculpture often evokes notions that their more permanent counterparts do not. They are persistent rather than permanent. These materials all emphasize natural forces like gravity, air, and in some cases even heat. In other contrasting scenarios, they also have metaphorical and metaphysical implications that harder materials do not achieve.

Malleable is a juried exhibition emphasizing/focusing on soft sculpture art. It is open to media and modes of making that emphasize/focus on soft materials. Subject matter may vary, but the emphasis will be on works that use soft materials in the execution. Acceptable media can include (but is not limited to) cloth, foam, rubber, plastic, fiber, paper, wax, sand, and other similar materials.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces the 17th Annual “Abstracts” Online Art Competition.

Off the Page: Poetry Reimagined is producing Issue 2: Bodies Luminous—a literary arts magazine that also becomes a gallery exhibition. This issue is inspired by Diamond Forde’s poem “fat girl Dances with a Stranger at a Block Party.” They invite women and non-binary artists to submit artwork inspired by the poem and its themes.. The Guildhouse Fellowship is an 18-month opportunity for a South Australian mid-career visual artist, craft practitioner or designer to undertake research, development and the creation of new work culminating in a presentation outcome at the Art Gallery of South Australia (AGSA). The latest iteration extends the Fellowship from a 12-month to an 18-month engagement and increases the artist’s fee from $35,000 to $50,000, embedding best practice by paying superannuation to the artist. The Guildhouse Fellowship is unique in Australia and creates an extraordinary opportunity to extend artistic practice, grow industry recognition and expand professional horizons. To date, the program has supported six outstanding South Australian visual artists to pursue sustainable careers, contributing to a robust and vibrant South Australian arts sector.

The Gloucestershire Printmaking Cooperative offers an annual artist residency for printmakers. This is to celebrate the contribution to Printmaking by one of the GPC’s Founder Members, Barbara Webb. Barbara studied at the John Cass School, London and at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington. Her work was mainly concerned with urban landscapes in all forms of printmaking. She was a founder member of Camden Print Makers and was also an active member of the Gloucestershire Printmaking Cooperative. Three of her screen prints are in the Government Art Collection. In 2009 she took part in “Art in Action” where she demonstrated etching. She has exhibited extensively in London, including in the Summer Exhibitions at the Royal Academy. Widely travelled and with a wealth of experience in the arts of printmaking, Barbara’s eye for detail and skill resulted in images that have a timeless quality which is pleasing to both the eye and the soul.

ArtReach St. Croix is seeking artists to create or format artwork around the impactful history of the postal service in the nation's democracy and the significance of stamps as a method of global public art distribution. Throughout 250 years, the USPS has taken many different forms. During early 1700’s, American colonists fostered many underground networks of posts, used mostly to hide rebellion from the British. The USPS became essential in sparking political culture during early American history. Early wagons, trains, lone horseman, and sled dogs brought mail across the American landscape through all terrain and weather, prompting the iconic but unofficial motto, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.” All forms of creative work are encouraged. All media, subjects and styles are welcome including—but not limited to—painting, fibers, printmaking, sculpture, glass, pottery, jewelry, mixed media, photography or video. Artists living and/or working in the St. Croix Valley are especially encouraged to submit applications. Artists can submit one piece of work for consideration though not all may be selected for the exhibition. Artists are encouraged, but not required, to submit a brief statement about their work and how it reflects the exhibition theme.

All the Fixins: Artists From The South is an exhibition open to artists all over the South to submit their work for consideration by a selection of judges. This year’s head juror is none other than the owner and director of the well-known contemporary Whitespace Gallery, Susan Bridges! The exhibit will be on view at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center from May 8, 2026 to July 4, 2026.

Kilnforming in the Upper Midwest is a juried exhibition celebrating contemporary kilnformed glass by artists living and working in Minnesota, Wisconsin, & Iowa. The exhibition highlights the creative breadth and technical innovation of kiln-based glass practices across the region. Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Arts invites artists to submit glass artwork created using kilnforming processes, including but not limited to fusing, slumping, casting, pâte de verre, and experimental kiln techniques. Both functional and sculptural works are welcome. Submissions should demonstrate a strong command of material, concept, and process.

VSC’s residency program welcomes artists and writers working across all mediums and genres for two, three, and four week sessions. Residents enjoy well-lit, private studios within a short walk to residency housing, dining hall, and local amenities. Studio spaces range from 170 - 300 square feet. Accommodations include a private room and shared common areas. The campus features include a print shop, digital lab, and metal, wood, ceramic facility. Studios are open 24 hours a day. A VSC residency provides artists and writers the time and space to focus on their creative practice in an inclusive, international community within a small Vermont village.

Serlachius Residency is an international artist residency that annually hosts about twenty artists or other professionals working in the field of visual arts from all over the world. They are an active part of the local community in Mänttä. The Serlachius Residency is open to visual artists, art historians, researchers, journalists or curators. Work partners, artist groups and families can also apply for the residency. You can apply for a residency period with an electronic application form on their website. The selections are made by a jury consisting of a representative of the Serlachius and Mänttä Art Festivals and a rotating artist member.

The Art & Apples Festival is a juried fine art festival, featuring 250+ top quality, national exhibitors, with an estimated attendance of 50,000 for the weekend. The Art & Apples Festival is held annually the Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Labor Day in the scenic 30-acre Rochester Municipal Park located in downtown Rochester, Michigan.

The Saari Residence, maintained by Kone Foundation, is a residence located in Mynämäki, Southwest Finland, for artists of all disciplines and nationalities. At the Saari Residence, artists and researchers can focus on their work in a peaceful rural environment and share their thoughts and experiences with colleagues. The residence’s long-term activities and thinking are underpinned by an ecological approach, which also covers social and psychological sustainability. Its keywords are slowness, insight and change.

Deer Lake Artist residencies provide unique opportunities for emerging and established artists from various disciplines, cultures and locations to create and produce new work.
