The School of Art Collection and Galleries at Kent State University is pleased to announce the Curlee Raven Holton & Raven Fine Art Editions Distinguished Art Fellowship. This fellowship/residency invites artists of national and international reputations to interact with KSU students, staff, and the broader community.

The mission of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts is to support established and emerging writers, visual artists and composers by providing working and living environments that allow uninterrupted time for work, reflection and creative growth and to present and support arts-related programming that expands public awareness and appreciation of the arts. Each summer the Visitor Center Artist Camp hosts Resident Artists from around the country for two weeks of camping, living cooperatively outdoors, playing, reflecting, and making art in conversation with nature.

The Wild Clay Workshop leads residents through the entire process from prospecting to harvesting, mixing and making, and through various firing processes. This workshop is taught by professional wild clay hunter and co-founder of VCAC, Amy Joy Hosterman, and ceramicist Caitlin Zachow.

Independent Projects Artists in Residence have time and space to explore nature and work on independent art mediums. Artist and educator Stephanie Howells and UP geologist and artist Evan Lanese are on staff to support Independent Residents, providing guidance, access to tools, and connections to resources.

Blue Space Gallery - “Earth, Fire, Air, Water”, an international competition and virtual exhibition. Artists of all ages from around the world are invited to participate, with complete freedom in choosing their medium and style. Submissions should revolve around the central theme of “Earth, Fire, Air, Water”. Entry is free; only those artists whose submissions are chosen as finalists will be required to pay a $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their artwork showcased in the online exhibition and will advance to the final jurying round in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000. Awards will be granted to those whose work demonstrates the greatest level of creativity and artistry.

The 2025 Art Speaks Juried Exhibition prospectus is now available on their website. The show is open to any artist living or working in Virginia, 18 or older. Both 2D and 3D media are eligible, and $6,350 in prize money is available for award. This year's juror and judge is Diego Sanchez. Online submission of entries begin December 1, 2024. Submit application and artwork via their website. The exhibition will be on display April 26-May 26, 2025, with the opening reception and awards ceremony on April 26. Eligible media include: 2D – painting and drawing all media, mixed media and printmaking, fine art photography; 3D – ceramic, glass, wood or metal functional ware, sculpture in any media, fiber art.

Since 1996, ATA has sponsored a biennial, juried exhibition known as the American Tapestry Biennial. This juried exhibition highlights the best of international contemporary handwoven tapestry and has showcased hundreds of professional and amateur tapestry artists since its inception. The exhibition will feature not only artists who work within more traditional definitions of tapestry but also those who explore the core principles of the medium in conjunction with alternative processes and techniques.
American Tapestry Biennial 15 will be on view at the Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago, IL from August 1, 2025, through September 26, 2025.

The City of Maryland Heights Cultural Art Commission is now accepting proposals for exhibitions in their City Facilities. All entries must be the original, creative work executed by the artist. Display space accommodates 2D framed or gallery wrapped wall art. No sculpture, video or ceiling suspended work will be accepted (see Display Details below for more information). All artists interested in displaying their work must submit an application via the Maryland Heights City website. The process includes uploading digital images of artwork to be considered. The renovations and new construction of libraries throughout the county bring the opportunity for the library to expand its existing art collection. As envisioned, the art in all library branches will be diverse in both concept and material, be traditional and non-traditional and will endure and inspire over time. The DPL Public Art Selection Committee (Art Committee) seeks works in all media and genres: Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, Glass, Fiber, Functional, Digital, Photography, Installation, Mixed Media, New media/genres. Suspended from ceilings, mounted on walls, embedded in floors, anchoring a public space, works will exist in both expected and unexpected places within the building and on library grounds.

The School of Art at Kent State University is now accepting proposals for the 2025-26 Curlee Raven Holton & Raven Fine Art Editions Distinguished Art Fellow. The Curlee Raven Holton and Raven Fine Art Editions Distinguished Fellowship has been established to bring globally recognized leaders in art and the academy to the Kent State University School of Art to work with students as teachers, mentors, and critics. The Fellows' engagement will strengthen a critical link between the School of Art at Kent State and the international artistic community. Fellows will give public lectures, exhibit artwork or curate an exhibit, teach workshops, and/or participate in studio visits and critiques. Fellows' work shall be displayed in one of the School of Art Galleries during or just prior to their visit.

Situated in the center of Oregon, over 200,000 people call Deschutes County home. Central Oregon, widely known for its stunning mountains, rivers, pine forests and recreational opportunities, will now be home to a new 100,000 square foot library in east Bend known as Stevens Ranch, a new branch library in Redmond and completely renovated and renewed libraries in the communities of La Pine, Sunriver and Sisters and in historic downtown Bend. The project is funded by a voter approved bond measure. 1% of the brick and mortar costs are reserved for the purchase of art. BONFIRE is excited to launch a new online residency after five years of experience in the digital realm and a period of dedicated development.

This two-month training program is designed to foster exchange and collaboration while providing you with the knowledge and tools to elevate your artistic practice. You’ll receive valuable guidance and unexpected experiences to help you grow both personally and artistically.

This special residency will occur just once a year, bringing together a selected group of diverse international artists. It will combine insights from BONFIRE’s expertise with contributions from professional guests and former residents.

The program features masterclasses, personal mentoring, guest lectures, and weekly meetings, all aimed at offering you a dynamic and enriching journey.

c.r.e.t.a. rome organizes artist residencies for periods of 4 weeks in the spring, summer and fall. The 2024/25 residencies include a shared equipped studio, some technical assistance, access to several electric kilns, advice on museums, galleries and sites in Rome and beyond. The residency fee does not include accommodation. A second residency site in the countryside of Rome is a particularly good option for collaborative projects and/or artists who want to bring their spouses/companions and/or young family (supplemental fee). Housing is included. Residents have a private studio and one-bedroom house. For ceramic artists, there is access to electric and gas kilns, with options for reduction firing.

Artlink is now accepting proposals for solo, group, and curated exhibitions! Exhibition proposals will be reviewed by the Artlink Artist Panel and Exhibitions Coordinator once a year for consideration in their exhibition schedule for the following year. Selected proposals will be notified by email and provided with an exhibition contract. Time preferences are welcome as part of the submission process, but are not guaranteed. Proposals will be reviewed once a year after the March 1st deadline. Proposals will be reviewed for at spots in their exhibition calendar at least 1 year out. It may take a few months after the deadline for notifications to go out for accepted proposals.

Art Under the Elms is a juried art festival organized by the Lewis-Clark State College Center for Arts & History. The event provides a platform for artists and vendors to showcase their work to a diverse audience. Applicants can submit up to three applications for this show. The festival aims to celebrate artistic expression and foster community engagement through the arts.

The Tarleton State University Department of Visual Arts & Design is thrilled to announce the 27th annual Rio Brazos Juried Art Exhibition. This year’s exhibition will be juried by artist Layla Luna. Open to all varieties of media, this exhibition aims to curate a selection of exemplary contemporary work from artists around the country. All proceeds from the exhibition will go to scholarships for the Department of Visual Arts & Design at Tarleton State University.

The exhibition will open on April 5, 2025 at the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural & Educational Center in Granbury, Texas and runs every weekend through April 27th.

$1000 for Best in Show, up to 2 Juror’s Selection Awards of $500, up to 5 Honorable Mention awards of $100 each

This workshop will focus on the storytelling qualities of quilts. Using a series of narrative prompts designed to draw out personal stories, beginning to advanced students will be guided through the process of making experimental quilts. Instruction will be geared toward hand-sewing techniques such as stitches, appliqué, embroidery, quilting, and finishing (sewing machines will also be available). Other topics will include color relationships, elements of composition, and visual storytelling concepts. We will work with repurposed cloth; thrift shop trips are on the itinerary. A willingness to mess up will be a definite plus. All levels. Upper textiles studio.

Dorland Mountain Arts is a beautiful retreat where artists, writers, musicians, and composers can create in a secluded and protected natural setting. Dorland is located near Temecula Valley Wine Country, about 100 miles south of Los Angeles and sixty miles north of San Diego. The Community Arts Center provides a library with Dorland works and a large writing desk with a typewriter, a meeting room, and a studio room for visual artists. The extensive grounds feature a reflecting pond, a small lake with a rowboat, and hiking trails that wind through the property. Dorland invites residency requests from visual, literary (or other writing) and composing or performing artists. Residency stays may be as short as one week or as long as 6 weeks, based on requests and availability.

17th Annual Sunset Valley ARTFEST, April 26, 2025 hosted by the City of Sunset Valley Arts Commission. For the past three years, ARTFEST has had a record number of art and food booths with over 100 artisans showcasing their handmade merchandise including oil paintings, drawings, sculptures, glass creations, jewelry designs, metal and woodwork items, and much more. This is a one-day event from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. with over 8,000 attendees. The FREE ADMISSION event offers something for everyone in the family with avenues of artisans, two live music stages with Austin area talent, local food trucks, and a separate area for children's fun and interactive activities including a performance stage.

SAC International Curatorial Residency Program 2025 is the residency program at Barcelona's Sant Andreu Contemporani, in collaboration with Fabra i Coats - Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona, available to international curators. As part of the program, they are announcing an open call for proposals to choose an international curator who will be part of the Miquel Casablancas Prize for the Visual Arts’ jury in 2025, and will later develop a curatorial project with a selection of Catalan artists chosen from applicants to the prize. The project must be presented at the country of residence of the curator or in another international venue that she/he decides.

Webb School of Knoxville is inviting applications from visiting artists for their 2025-2026 artist-in-residence program. Artists spend five weeks working with their students part time and in their own studios part time. Artists are asked to mount an exhibition and donate a representative piece upon completion of their residency. In exchange, artists are provided a public studio space, housing, travel expenses and $6000 stipend. Annual application deadline is March 1. Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers artists from a range of disciplines a 5 – 6 week residency in the historic Village of Vicksburg, Michigan. Offering a unique environment for our artists to develop their craft: the 420,000 square foot former Lee Paper Company mill and its adjacent 80 acres of property. Prairie Ronde is hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg, a redevelopment project of the former Lee Paper Company mill, whose extensive and ongoing plans focus on sustainability. The goal is to bring artists into the space to engage with The Mill’s historic legacy and its monumental transformation.

Strata Gallery invites submissions for Stratas of New Mexico Art, an exhibition honoring the expansive creative vision of artists living and working in New Mexico. This exhibition seeks to illuminate the layered and multifaceted nature of the state’s artistic community, offering a platform for works that embody its vitality and unique character. Through this open call, Strata Gallery aim to bring together a dynamic range of artistic practices, from the intimate to the monumental, the traditional to the experimental. There are many ways to imagine it, to perceive it in day-to-day life: living life in the hyphen, tales of Persephone or Charon, physical places, story and memory, and the transitional metaphysics of space, time, and imagination. Liminal spaces are all around and passing through them regularly, but lest people stop and think about them, they are often forgotten or deliberately ignored: the forgotten in-between. In their fifth call for submissions, they propose taking the time to slow down, to pause in limbo and consider these transitory places and phases of the human experience, to explore the very state that takes people from where they were to where they are going.

Telstra NATSIAA is the longest running and most prestigious celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture. For over 40 years, the Telstra NATSIAA has provided a platform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists to showcase their diverse practices and cultural expressions on the national stage. An important part of Australia’s cultural calendar, the Telstra NATSIAA honours established, mid-career artists and emerging artists. Each year artists come to the fore and are recognised for their works of significance, strength and cultural integrity. Many respected Elders have graced the Awards over the decades sharing their knowledges and encouraging the next generation. Similarly, it is through Telstra NATSIAA many acclaimed artists debuted innovations in their practice or first shared their works with their peers and the world.

Artists harness dreams, folklore, and personal intuition as creative tools to envision new realities and to cultivate new possibilities of the unknown. By merging imagination and contemplation of the unfathomable depths of space and human existence, artists develop contemplations of reality that extend beyond the material world. In Beyond The Veil, they invite artists based in the United States to explore contemporary interpretations of surrealism and the supernatural.

SMACH Biennale is a disseminated art exhibition that, every two years since 2012, has made a series of works conceived and installed in relation to some of the most beautiful places in Val Badia and the UNESCO Dolomites freely accessible to the public. In the six editions organized so far, they have presented 60 installations that interact with nature, history, identity, and the culture of the territory, conveying non-stereotypical visions of the Alpine landscape. The Biennale aims to spark visitors’ interest both in contemporary visual art and in the locations where the artworks are set. Ten proposals will be selected and funded based on the judgment of the technical and artistic juries, which will reward those best able to engage with the locations and theme of the 2025 edition.

Applications for City of Moonee Valley’s Biannual Community Grants are now open! Whether you’re a First Peoples-led organisation, local business owner, artist, community group or social enterprise they’ve got grants available to help you fund your dream project. Apply for up to $10,000 for arts projects and events or festivals that benefit the Moonee Valley community. Commercial events can also apply for up to $5,000. They’ll be running a series of grant writing workshops to make the application process easier.

National Sculpture Society is presenting a $2,500 grant to be awarded to a talented emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American. A racially diverse jury of three sculptors and/or curators, including at least two of whom are Black or African American, will review applications and select one winner. Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number. Works inspired by nature are preferred.

The City of Laramie, Wyoming, Laramie Main Street Alliance, and Laramie Public Art Coalition have partnered to complete a beautification of 3rd Street, the main road and state highway in downtown Laramie. The opportunity exists for artwork that acts as a gateway to the downtown neighborhood on both the south and north sides of 3rd Street. Artwork that is visible both day and night and interactive with cars and pedestrians has been identified through previous planning.

The Syracuse Arts & Crafts Festival is a prestigious three-day showcase featuring approximately 150 artists and crafters from 20 U.S. states, Canada, and Mexico. The festival offers a wide selection of contemporary arts and crafts, from functional to decorative, and includes continuous free entertainment, family activities, and diverse food vendors.

Each year NXTHVN welcomes up to seven artists and two curators to participate in its paid 10-month intensive Fellowship Program. Each Fellow will receive studio or office space, a stipend, and subsidized housing. Selected from an international pool of applicants, Fellows relocate to New Haven to participate in NXTHVN’s mentorship-driven curriculum which includes professional development sessions led by visiting artists, curators, scholars, and practitioners. Selected Fellows are also matched with a high school Apprentice, for focused one-on-one mutual learning, which gives the next local generation a chance to grow and excel in creative fields. The Fellowship year culminates with an annual group show at a prominent gallery space.

The Steering Committee for the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices would like to invite students and professional artists intending to attend the conference to submit proposals for the 2019 NCCCIAP Coke Bin Installations. Each participant(s) may submit a group or individual proposal for an outdoor installation to be installed and exhibited in one of ten old coke bins that are located at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark. Installations must incorporate iron literally or conceptually as long as the preservation of the historical architecture is left unharmed. Submissions could include, but are not limited to: static sculpture/installation; hanging sculptural elements from a built structure that rests on top of the bin; projection or audio; performance; and/or interactivity, etc.

The Creative Placemaking Commission invites experienced public artists/teams that have completed at least one outdoor artwork or mural in the past ten years, are at least 18 years or older, and residents of Minnesota to submit qualifications for design and installation services to transform utility boxes in the South Loop District into creative, exciting, & captivating objects of art that celebrate Bloomington while enhancing the district’s character & vitality. Priority consideration will be given to Bloomington residents. Each selected applicant will receive a $2,000 budget for a single painted utility box. For the cluster of painted and wrapped utility boxes, one selected applicant will receive a $6,000 budget. Deadline: Monday, March 3, 2025 by 11:00 PM CST.

The Theodore Urbach Landscape Prize and Studio Scholarship (“The Urbach”) is a prize and scholarship offered at Shepparton Art Museum (SAM). The Urbach is designed to encourage continued exploration of Australian landscape painting by contemporary artists. The Theodore Urbach Landscape Prize & Studio Scholarship consists of: $5,000 cash prize, $5,000 scholarship stipend, 3-month access to the SAM Artist Studio, tailored professional development opportunities throughout the 3-month program. The Urbach is proudly supported by the Theodore Urbach Landscape Painting Scholarship and Prize Charitable Trust managed by Equity Trustees. The Urbach Prize and Scholarship is open to artists living in Victoria who meet the eligibility requirements. The program provides the recipient with a dedicated studio space at SAM to undertake creative exploration and professional development. The program is non-residential.

The Steering Committee for the National Conference on Contemporary Cast Iron Art and Practices invites students and professional artists attending the conference to submit images for the 2025 NCCCIAP Juried and Biennial Exhibitions. Each participant may submit one piece for consideration per exhibition. Art may be 2D or 3D but must incorporate iron literally or conceptually. Sculpture, installation, drawing, video, and photography are all encouraged. To be considered for the 2025 exhibitions, Art must have been created within 2022, 2023, and 2024. No works completed before 2022 will be considered. Exhibitors must attend the conference to participate. Hand-delivered artwork only! Works must be dropped off at the appropriate exhibition spaces by noon on Wednesday, April 2, and picked up by noon on Sunday, April 6.

Surf Coast Shire Council’s 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grants are open to residents involved in arts and culture. This program supports emerging, mid-career, and established creatives, including First Nations people, individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds, and people with disabilities, funding intensive research, experimentation, and new ideas. Creatives can apply for grants of $3,000 for individuals and $5,000 for collectives to assist them in exploring new ideas and advancing their creative practice and careers. Surf Coast Shire Council’s 2025 DEVELOP Artists and Creatives Grants aligns with the Creative Places Strategy 2023–2031, the program Grants encourage innovation through new collaborations, methodologies, and learning opportunities.

Finalists in the RFQ process will be paid $1,000 to develop an original proposal and respond to an RFP. The artist fee for finalist designs in the RFP process is $4,000. The City of Napa opens an RFQ for artists, or artist teams, to develop unique paving designs for one of six (6) intersections in downtown Napa. These creative paving designs are intended to increase safety for all roadway users, especially pedestrians, and create a public art intervention to energize our streets. This opportunity is design only.

Each year Earth Photo organises an open call followed by an awards presentation, exhibitions, and events. For their 2025 open call, they are inviting submissions from still and moving image makers from anywhere in the world who have a compelling story to share. Submissions can consist of any genre of photography and moving image but must tell powerful stories about the planet. The Earth Photo 2025 exhibition will be presented in over 15 locations in the UK and internationally. It will open at the Royal Geographical Society, London in June 2025, together with a national tour to Forestry England sites. They are delighted to announce that the exhibition will also be touring to the Sidney Nolan Trust, a series of National Trust properties and more venues throughout the UK.

African American fiber artists from across the nation are invited to participate in the 18th Annual African American Fiber Art Exhibition - "In Praise of the Ancestors," a component of the 2025 North Charleston Arts Fest. Artists may choose to highlight a figure from the collective African American history, or from their own family's history. From tales of slavery, racism, and fighting for basic human rights, to finding heritage and values, fiber pieces in this 18th annual exhibition will cover a vast range of topics that have great significance for the African American community. Following the close of the show, up to 20 works will be selected to tour the state through the South Carolina State Museum's 2025/2026 Traveling Exhibitions Program.

Rowan University Art Gallery & Museum presents the 2025 New Jersey Arts Annual (NJAA) in partnership with the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. The NJAA is a unique series of exhibitions highlighting the State’s visual and performing artists. The theme for the Arts Annual 2025 will be Artist as Activist, inviting submissions of work that reflect artistic thoughts and responses to this concept. An artist as activist is someone who harnesses the power of creativity to inspire social and political action. Unlike traditional activism, which often relies on direct action or advocacy, these artists engage in activism through various forms of expression, particularly visual art. Their work challenges norms, raises awareness of critical issues, and encourages audiences to think critically about the world around them.

The Arts Annual will seek artists whose work addresses a broad range of topics and concerns, including human rights and access to resources, environmental awareness and justice, racial and gender equality, health and well-being, and the political and cultural climate. This work may serve as a vehicle for advocacy, highlighting injustices, and envisioning alternatives. By capturing emotions, experiences, and truths through their art, these artists strive to promote empathy, spark dialogue, and inspire individuals toward collective action.

NYU Langone Health are seeking a Long Island based Artist or Artist Team to design, fabricate, and oversee the installation of a site-specific suspended sculpture for the two-story atrium of the new Ambulatory Care Center in Manhasset, New York by December 2026. Formerly a retail space, the building is undergoing a complete transformation into a state-of-the-art healthcare facility designed to serve the surrounding communities. Spanning 162,000 square feet, the center will house a wide range of specialties, including radiology, orthopedics, pulmonary care, gastroenterology, breast imaging, and other ambulatory services. The purpose of this project is to create a dynamic sculptural installation that engages with patients, families, and staff, fostering a sense of connection and upliftment.

The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is an annual acquisitive prize, launched in 2017 to advance art and opportunity for emerging and established women artists in Australia. It is the highest-value professional artist prize for women in Australia.
There are three prize categories: the Professional Artist Prize of $35,000, the Emerging Artist Prize of $7,500 (supported by The Reed Family Foundation) and the Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize of $7,500 (supported by the Guardian and Scarborough Foundation). There is also a People’s Choice Award of $2,000 (supported by Edwina Palmer) plus a Derivan art pack valued at $500. From 2025, six Highly Commended Awards (two for each category) of $1,000 each (supported by Lindfield & Districts Community Bank) will also be awarded.

What is 'the catalogue'?

The AFA Catalogue is not a magazine but rather a collection of scholarly essays published in a hardcover artbook format as well as presented digitally in a manner similar to an exhibition catalogue. Only the best in show artists from AFA online exhibitions are included in all formats of the catalogue, digitally and in print. The catalogue includes artists who have works in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Artists included in the catalogue have also been critically published by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, National Geographic, Financial Times, and The Guardian. There are also quite a few artists in the catalogue who are represented by some of the most respected galleries in the world.

This oceanfront art festival provides one of the most picturesque shows of the season, stretching along A1A in Juno Beach, Florida. The event is co-presented by Howard Alan Events and the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.

Public Functionary invites individual emerging visual artists to submit a body of work for an exhibition responding to the theme of “return.” Public Functionary will exhibit two selected projects concurrently in their main gallery space #144 at the Northrup King Building in Minneapolis. Public Functionary will support each exhibiting artist with a $1,000 stipend. In addition, PF will provide in progress studio visits, curatorial support, installation, promotion, design, and additional resources as needed. The exhibitions will open in August 2025 and will run for 5 weeks.

The Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space and professional support for an artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited.

Artspace seeks exhibition proposals from visual artists and curators across the U.S. for the 2026 exhibition cycle through early 2027 in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2. Open to professional, mid-career and established artists and curators residing in the U.S. Two-person or group proposals by artists are also welcomed.

This fellowship provides opportunities for independent artists to engage the public in critical issues impacting Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) across the country. They consider a variety of art forms, such as music, video, visual arts, performing arts, poetry, and more. Up to eight artists will receive $30,000 contracts to produce work with the potential to break through mainstream media and catalyze conversations around the following three themes: In it Together, Belonging, and Voting Together.

Selected works will be exhibited in the 103, a small gallery programmed by the Department of Art & Art History at Bucknell University, in the summer of 2025. The videos will be displayed in a loop that will play on a single large horizontally-oriented TV in the gallery. This exhibition invites video works that are inspired by, expand on, or reimagine conventional still-life themes or the reinterpretation of still-life in new and unexpected ways. The John Talleur Print Studio is the only community print shop in Kansas. Its facilities support a broad range of printmaking techniques, including intaglio, monoprint, relief, silkscreen, book arts, and letterpress, and offer access to Takach, Vandercook, Hoe (Washington-style), and Griffin presses. The studio emphasizes innovative and solventless techniques, and the intaglio facilities use all low toxic grounds and removers. The resident will be provided studio space, a $1,500 monthly stipend, furnished housing, a $2,000 honorarium for professional development, and 24-hour access to all studios, including ceramics, print, drawing, metals, photography, and digital media, plus a wood shop.

Artists are invited to enter original innovative art created from fiber and recycled and repurposed mixed media. Artwork must include a fiber component or textile technique, must be of original design, and must have been completed after January 1, 2020. This juried exhibition will appear in the summer issue of Fiber Art Now to be released July 1, 2025. Invited artwork will be eligible for the on-site exhibition at Guilford Art Center in Guilford, Connecticut, July 1 through July 27, 2025.

Lawrence Arts Center artist in residence programs are designed to provide a creative environment for emerging artists and to broaden Arts Center student and faculty awareness of new approaches and techniques. These year-long residencies begin on August 15 and end on July 31. The ideal candidates should have an MFA in ceramics (or equivalent professional experience), and be self-directed and able to work independently. Preference is given to candidates who have demonstrated artistic excellence as well as interest in experimentation and innovative techniques. The resident will be provided studio space, furnished housing, free firings, and 24-hour access to all studios, including ceramics, print, drawing, metals, photography, and digital media, plus a wood shop.

The Akita City Cultural Creation Center is a facility dedicated to supporting citizens’ creative activities and hosts an annual “Creator-in-Residence” program. Through the residency of creators, the program provides opportunities for citizens to take on new forms of expression. The Cultural Creation Center aspires to remain a vessel that embraces limitless possibilities—fearlessly adapting to change and continually challenging new horizons. In this spirit, they are now seeking creators who will engage with the region’s culture and people, collaborating and creating alongside them. To support residents’ activities, they will tailor assistance to their needs, including introducing them to local experts and businesses and forming dedicated support teams.

Mitu’s Hybrid Arts Lab supports women, trans, and non-binary artists working at the intersection of performance and technology, with a focus on early-career BIPOC artists. The program provides studio space, technical resources, mentorship, and training to a small cohort, culminating in public studio visits that foster community dialogue on art and innovation.

In 2025, Mitu’s sixth annual Hybrid Arts Lab will support three artists over eight months. Each will receive a $3,000 award, five weeks of access to MITU580’s space and technology, mentorship from Founding Artistic Director Rubén Polendo, training with guest artists, and a materials budget for public studio visits. Green Olive Arts is an artist residency and collaborative art space in Tetouan, Morocco. This program joins visual artists with the wonder and unexpected opportunities in Wyoming State Parks. This is a 10 day road trip residency in either August or September of 2025 where artists will have a choice of itinerary that includes visiting a minimum of 4 state parks where you can be inspired by the beauty of the state. Camping is required, no gear will be provided although cabins, yurts and dorm housing may be available. This is a joint program through Wyoming State Parks and the Wyoming Arts Council.

The En Foco Artist Fellowship Program is designed to support artists of color who utilize lens-based mediums and digital media technologies in their creative processes. This program merges the previous Photography Fellowship and Media Arts Fund, creating a unified opportunity for photographers and media-based artists in New York State. While applicants may apply to both forms for photographers and media-based artists, they will receive only one award. Submissions will be evaluated by a panel of industry professionals, ensuring recognition for the highest-quality work.

Art in the Berkshires is proud to present its first local artist and artisan, juried art show! This show celebrates local talent and offers an art show at Eastover Contemporary Space in Lenox, MA, June 4th through July 5th, 2025. Mural Design for Bloomington Ice Garden
The City of Bloomington invites public artists to submit qualifications to design a vibrant mural that will be installed in the Bloomington Ice Garden (BIG) vestibule. The final design will be printed and installed by a separate vendor.

Applicants are welcome from the state of Minnesota. The total budget is $8,000 for the purposes of providing a digital artistic design that can be used by a City-selected vendor to wrap the vestibule wall.

Currently seeking 2025 Visiting Artists! Sloss Furnaces Foundation hosts three, 8-week Visiting Artists throughout the year, typically in the Summer (June-Aug) and Fall (Sept-Nov). This program is designed for artists interested in developing their studio practice and honing technical skills. Visiting Artists will be provided with a furnished apartment near Sloss Furnaces, casting materials, and 24-hour studio access in Sloss' historic casting shed. Haystack’s Open Studio Residency fosters a dynamic exchange of ideas among peers and provides two weeks of studio time and an opportunity to work in a community of makers. The program supports approximately 50 participants—from the craft field and other creative disciplines—who have uninterrupted time to work in six studios (ceramics, fiber, glass, graphics, metals, and wood) to develop ideas and experiment in various media. Each of the studios are staffed by technicians who can assist with projects. Please note that technicians will not be leading workshops. If you are interested in learning specific skills, you may wish to apply to one of the summer workshop sessions.

2nd Sundays on Mill is a seasonal market held in Downtown Tempe, Arizona, from November 2024 through April 2025. The Decatur Arts Alliance invites artists working in all media to submit up to 3 works that explore the meaning of the game of “Cat and Mouse” in all its aspects: historical, political, and moral.

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) seeks entries for a juried photography exhibit at Crystal Gateway Marriott, Arlington, VA and Mosaic Arts in Fairfax, VA. $6500 in awards. This call invites professional and amateur photographers in the U.S. only. Photo subjects also must live in the U.S. The NCOA is eager to discover captivating stories and showcase authentic, everyday individuals. Only color photographs are accepted. No black and white photos or AI-generated images. Entries must include a short statement or story (minimum 100 words) about each photo.

Rochester Contemporary Art Center invites artists to propose three images for a temporary public art installation on site outside RoCo. Through this call for art they aim to offer a simple submission process for incisive, surprising, and unique imagery that will enliven the East Avenue neighborhood. Of particular interest are projects that connect visitors to the location, community and/or history of the neighborhood, challenge visitors and passersby, and address important social and political issues. RoCo welcomes visual artists of all genres, and also invites visual artists to collaborate with literary artists as they have previously shown in this location. The artist will receive a $400 stipend & use fee for exhibiting preexisting images. All production and installation costs are covered by RoCo.

As a partnership between Bumbershoot and Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, Cannonball Arts is dedicated to creating space and opportunities for Native artists and craftspeople throughout the Pacific Northwest. Their lobby will host a 30 foot long by 12 foot wide platform designed to construct traditional dugout canoes, allowing pedestrians and art center visitors alike to watch and learn canoe carving from tree to sea. They welcome Native artists to use their lobby as a studio to carve, construct and paint handmade canoes and provide a $5,000.00 grant to participating artist teams.

The Emerald Art Center announces their 19th Annual Emerald Spring Painting Exhibition 2025, a fine art painting competition with $5,000 plus in Cash Awards. Best of Show $1,500; Gold Medal $1,000; Silver Medal $700; Bronze $500, People's Choice Award $250 and others to be announced. This exhibition was conceived to recognize and reward excellence in fine art from all over the United States.

The Soma Midwest Film Fest, presented by the UNL Dance Alumni Endowment, is a unique platform for Midwest filmmakers and beyond to showcase their work to a broader audience on April 19th, 2025. This virtual event celebrates filmmakers who emphasize the body and its significance in conveying meaning, as "soma" translates to "body" in Greek. They prioritize submissions from Midwest-affiliated filmmakers but warmly welcome participation from the wider community. Films should explore broader themes of identity, challenge conventions, venture into new territories, and push past perceived limitations. They aim to honor the industrious, persevering spirit of the land and people who have called the Midwest home. They strive to make SMFF a supportive resource for both emerging and established filmmakers.

The Olin Art Gallery on the campus of Washington & Jefferson College, Washington, PA is now accepting exhibition proposals in any medium for the 2025/2026 academic year. The Fiber Artists of Oklahoma invite you to participate in Fiberworks 2025, May 16 thru June 27, 2025. This juried fine fiber art event showcases artists who work in weaving, needlework, basketry, quilting, soft sculpture, beading, paper, knitting, crocheting, felting and works primarily constructed of fiber. All hung (2D and 3D) and freestanding artwork are eligible, as well as pieces made of non-fibrous materials, but utilizing techniques normally used in the construction of fiber arts. All work must have been completed during 2023-2025. Ceiling-suspended artwork is not eligible.

Well known by visual artists as the "Gift of Time", the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program was established in 1967 to provide gifted studio-based visual artists with the unique opportunity to concentrate on their work in a supportive. The Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program’s interest is in strengthening the vitality of the visual art in New Mexico and has been a catalyst in broadening community understanding of contemporary art for over fifty years. The Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program offers six artists a place to live and work for a year, with a monthly stipend and no strings attached. Artists-in-residence have the opportunity to mount a solo exhibition of their work at the Roswell Museum, and to have an artwork purchased for the permanent collection of the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art.

The Grants for Artists program fosters Oklahoma’s visual artistic creative excellence. The grants committee supports the mission of OVAC and scores submissions based on the merit of each application according to the pertinent grant category and its associated criteria. The Edward F. Albee Foundation maintains the William Flanagan Memorial Creative Persons Center (better known as "The Barn") in Montauk, Long Island, New York, as a residence for writers and visual artists of all media. The Center is open year-round (with the exception of December, when it is closed for general maintenance and holidays), and can accommodate four creative persons at a time. Residencies are for calendar months only. The standards for admission are, simply, talent and need. Located approximately two miles from the center of Montauk and the Atlantic Ocean, "The Barn" rests in a secluded knoll which offers privacy and a peaceful atmosphere.

Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute invites all artists with disabilities worldwide to submit artwork to participate in the 2025 Art of Possibilities Art Show & Sale. The Art Show has a rich tradition of exhibiting and selling the creative artwork of inspiring artists with physical and cognitive disabilities. More than 500 pieces are reviewed each year in six categories: Graphics, oils and acrylics, watercolors, mixed media, photography and sculpture and more than $4,600 in awards will be presented. Munson’s Artists-in-Residence program (AIR) is an education-based residency that allowsone emerging artist to live, work, and teach on the Munson and Pratt Munson College of Art & Design campus in Utica, New York for one academic year. The AIR program is designed for emerging artists or recent visual arts MFA graduates interested in working in art education in community arts and college curricula while receiving support to develop a vibrant, self-directed studio practice. A successful AIR applicant works in photography, embracing either traditional or expanded lens-based processes. Experience in both analogue and digital photographic mediums is desired. Programming includes presenting a public lecture, teaching community arts education classes, holding a public open studio event, and designing and implementing accessible community projects with various departments on campus. Artists receive financial support, housing, meals, studio, and an exhibition in the Museum of Art.

The City of Auburn invites sculptors to submit applications for Auburn’s Downtown Sculpture Gallery. The works selected for this public art exhibition will be on loan to the City for a period of twelve months (12) and can be available for sale during that time. Each selected artist will receive a $1,000 stipend. At the conclusion of the exhibition a sculpture from the exhibition may be purchased for inclusion in the City of Auburn’s permanent collection. ArtPrize is an international art competition & cultural festival held annually in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Oklahoma artists are invited to apply for their chance to represent the state of Oklahoma in this international art competition. Five artists will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win a $10,000 grant. This funding supports the creation, transportation, and logistics of their ArtPrize 2025 installation in Grand Rapids, MI (Sept 18–Oct 4, 2025). Visual artists, performing artists, and writers interested in its two-year-long Studio Residency Program in Kansas City, MO, are encouraged to apply. The Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art and Serendipity Arts Foundation present a new collaboration—Futures in Formation: A Public Art Programme—supporting artistic projects by Indian artists (individuals and collectives) working with a variety of publics, communities and environments. Soaring Gardens Artists Retreat in Laceyville, PA, offers visual artists, writers, and composers, and instrumentalists a quiet country setting for residencies to focus on their creative endeavors. Spaces are available from mid-May to mid-September. Soaring Gardens has no fees, makes no demands, and there are no intrusions from the administration—only the studios, gardens, deer, other creatures, and time.

SOLA (Support Old Lady Artists) Awards are five unrestricted awards of $5,000 given annually to Washington State female-identified visual artists, age 60 or over, who have dedicated 25 years or more to creating art. Founded in 2016 by Seattle artist Ginny Ruffner, the SOLA Award seeks to encourage and celebrate women’s achievements in the arts. Ginny and friends’ generous contributions to this award seek to honor, encourage and celebrate the lifetime contributions of women whose artwork has not been sufficiently or widely recognized. One of the five SOLA Awards will specifically honor a BIPOC artist.

The Hudson Valley Art Association announces its 92nd Annual National Juried Exhibition at the Lyme Art Association Gallery in Old Lyme, CT. Jurors include Tom Hughes (Oil), Paul Loescher (Watercolor), Peter Seltzer (Pastel & Graphics), and Randolph L. McIver (Sculpture). The jury seeks original works in representational and traditional realism that demonstrate strong technical skill and aesthetic appeal. The Twining Humber Award is an unrestricted award of $10,000 given annually to a Washington State female-identified visual artist, age 60 or over, who has dedicated 25 years or more to creating art. The award is made possible by a generous gift from the painter Yvonne Twining Humber (1907-2004), who established the Irving Foundation and Yvonne Twining Humber Fund for Artistic Excellence to support the grant through Artist Trust in recognition of female-identified artists who oftentimes must interrupt or postpone art-making in order to answer the demands of family life. The award recognizes artistic excellence, professional accomplishment, and longstanding dedication to the visual arts.

The AXA Art Prize US is a juried student art competition and exhibition of 40 two-dimensional figurative works: paintings, drawings, and original printmaking. One First Prize of $10,000 and one Second Prize of $5,000 is awarded to two of the 40 student exhibition finalists.

The Northern Territory (NT) is home to some of the most unique and remote art, history and cultural collections in Australia. Featuring treasures of national significance, these community collections tell the story of our past and present to local and visiting audiences. Grants are available for regional museums, galleries and cultural centres to develop, conserve, preserve or exhibit our unique cultural heritage. Regional museums, galleries and cultural centres in the Northern Territory are eligible to apply for funding of up to $40,000 per applicant. All projects must be completed within one year. Funding cannot be used for costs incurred before the project commencement date. Funding is provided by the Northern Territory Government and administered by the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT).

The LUX Center for the Arts, located in Lincoln, NE, will be hosting its third bi-annual EMERGE mural festival in September of 2025. Three (3) new murals will be created in the University Place neighborhood, Lincoln’s first certified Creative District. This call for artists outlines the details or application.

Three artists will be selected and each will create a mural at a designated location within the UNI Place Creative District. Each artist will receive $4,000 in compensation for their work, as well as a design honorarium. Supplies and materials will be paid for by the LUX Center for the Arts, along with additional administrative coordination assistance.

The 10th Horse and Art Research Program offers an intensive program designed for artists interested in combining equine studies and visual arts. It seeks artists with an interest in horse culture as well as riders with an interest in art. The work includes daily practice and lessons in horsemanship, equestrian archery, and riding. Discussions and lectures focus on fine art research, with each year centered around a different research theme. Now in its 10th year, the program will emphasize body language and communication with horses. Guest lecturers will be invited, and excursions will be organized. The residency concludes with a public exhibition in the Riding Arena Gallery. It welcomes artistic practices from both Western and Eastern traditions. To mark this special anniversary year, a surprise show featuring works by previous participants will be included.

The 14th Annual PleinAir Salon is an online art competition with 12 monthly cycles, and is open to a variety of mediums and styles. It’s not just for plein air painters! Part of Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), FLAMIN Productions aims to support the most exciting, innovative and challenging moving image projects with development and production finance. FLAMIN Productions is the only scheme of its kind in the UK. It commissions new, important and substantial moving image artworks that are ambitious in premise and approach, with an emphasis on projects that have strong potential for national and international exhibition and distribution. In 2025, FLAMIN Productions will be investing production funding through an award of £40,000 for one project.

Through the Matrix-Ost project, Museum Kesselhaus Herzberg aims to recontextualize contemporary Eastern European visual art within this historic and political framework, fostering dialogue and reflection on the shared and distinct artistic experiences of Eastern and Western Europe. Located in the heart of Barcelona, ​​Printmaking Barcelona has been, since 1986, an artistic studio for artists to develop their works in the field of chalcographic engraving. They offer the artist the possibility of working in a space dedicated to printmaking and arts in general, ​​surrounded by emblematic places of the city. The SRO Photo Gallery at the Texas Tech University School of Art hosts an annual open call for six to eight exhibitions of still photographic artwork to be exhibited between August 2025 and May 2026. The Denver Chalk Art Festival is an award-winning event that will transform Denver's historical museum district into a colorful street museum. Over the course of two days, 200 professional, amateur, and student artists captivate audiences as they take to the pavement armed with vivid soft pastels and spend hours drawing on their hands and knees. Thousands of festival attendees enjoy food and live music as they watch beautiful chalk pieces come to life. The event is produced by Denver Chalk Art and CherryArts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting arts awareness and education in Denver.

The 2025 Milburn Art Prize for Landscape reflects the evolving nature and aims of BIA to honour Paul Milburn, a much loved and respected tutor who began teaching in 1989 at BIA until his death in 2011. They offer a prize of $10,000, along with approximately 5 highly commended awards of $1,000 each, awarded for a 2d artwork addressing the spirit of Paul Milburn’s legacy and John Peart’s musings on landscape. Accepted media includes painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and photography. The Milburn Art Prize creates an opportunity for both established and emerging artists to bring a sense of surprise and openness to their interpretation of Landscape, while fostering an enriched dialogue between artists, community and arts industry.

The D Contemporary Open Call and Award is designed to provide emerging and early mid-career artists of all ages and nationalities with the opportunity to showcase their work while receiving support to develop and enhance their practice within their contemporary art gallery in London.​ Finalists of the open call will participate in a group exhibition at their Mayfair gallery and benefit from press exposure. Additionally, one winner will receive a solo exhibition, dedicated mentorship, and extensive press coverage in 2025/2026. Deadline for Submissions: 30 March 2025. Finalists Notified: Week commencing 7 April 2025. Open to artists in the UK and internationally. All media are welcome. No age limits—applicants will be judged solely on the quality of their work.

Elf School of the Arts is a nonprofit artist residency in Hayesville, NC. Situated beside the Appalachian Mountains and Lake Chatuge, Elf was originally an elementary school started in 1928, but has been renovated from 2022-2024 into an artist residency and concert venue. Elf's primary mediums are book arts, casting, cooking, drawing, jewelry, music, lapidary, paper arts, photography, printmaking, weaving, welding, woodworking, and writing. Residencies at Elf run from 1 week up to 3 months. You can apply to experiment, produce a body of work, use specific equipment, or expand on an idea. A private bedroom and studio are provided during your stay. The residencies are free, however consumables, materials, food, and travel are not included.

Magmart | video under volcano is an international videoart festival, which over the years has seen the participation of more than 1400 artists from +80 different countries, with thousand submitted videos.

The Festival is open to all international videoartists. Participation is free. Between all submitted video, will be done a final selection based on vote of a Jury composed by experts. The 30 selected artworks will become part of CAM Museum permanent collection. All sended materials don't will be return, and will be stored in the Festival's archive like documentation.

They're committed to helping creative people alike succeed by giving out $2,000 in grants on four separate occasions a year. Please submit as many pieces as you like. No portfolios, declarations, or previous involvement in the arts are necessary.

Art League of Hilton Head invites you to enter the 2025 Biennale, its 29th National Juried Exhibition, held every other year and featuring multiple media types, including Oil, Acrylic, Pastel, Watercolor, Photography, Mixed Media, and Three-Dimensional. Over $5,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. All accepted works of art selected by three jurors will be displayed at Art League Gallery inside the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The prestigious juror, Tony Armendariz, will choose the prize winners. This state-of-the-art gallery provides the finest exhibit space with high tourist and community visibility.

Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the University of Minnesota in partnership with Soo Visual Arts Center (SooVAC) Call for Art 2025: The Suzy Greenberg Juried Exhibition is for MFA candidates, or recent grads (2023 or later) from either school.
