30works30days encourages daily making, risk-taking and experimentation. If you are stuck in a creative rut, are looking for a bit of informal structure, or enjoy responding to a creative brief, 30works30days might be for you.
Each day in April participating artists are emailed a brief to prompt a new piece. How (or if) your daily piece of work responds to the brief is up to you. But to remain involved you must make a new artwork and upload it to the 30works30days website by midnight every day. Miss a day, and you’re out of the project.
With the time restriction of one day you may find the choices you make, the corners you cut, and the ideas that you couldn’t quite realise are as important as the work you produce.
You will be able to view other artists submissions throughout April on our dedicated 30works30days project website.

Located inside the Live Room, the Recording Studio is accessible through a double-door entryway. The doorway dimensions are 83" wide x 79.25" tall and has an elevated, sloping threshold that is 2" tall. The Live Room is barrier free.
In striving to create accessibility for all, Bemis welcomes inquiries from applicants with specific questions to ensure we are prepared to meet the needs of any resident. Please direct residency accessibility questions to Rachel Adams, Interim Residency Program Manager, at 402.341.7130 or Residency@bemiscenter.org.
OPPORTUNITIES AND EXPECTATIONS
Residencies are independent, self-directed, and process-based: there are no expectations placed on artists to create or perform. Residents are, however, invited to participate in at least one opportunity to engage our community, such as our public Open House / Open Studios.
Selected artists must attend a minimum of eight consecutive weeks within a residency session to be accepted. Deferring or rescheduling a residency is not permitted at this time. Late arrivals, early departures, or extended absences may result in prorated stipends.
FEES
A $40 USD non-refundable application fee is due at the time of submitting an application through SlideRoom paid via credit card or by PayPal. Submission of completed applications is only accepted online through bemis.slideroom.com. Fees related to visa processes or passport acquisition are the responsibility of the awarded artist.

Amy Ringholz is a contemporary wildlife painter from Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
She received several art awards and scholarships in college that gave her the confidence to pursue her dream of being a full-time artist. These accolades changed everything for her. She not only felt the honor of being recognized but the courage to trust herself and pursue her art.
To return this gift, Amy started The Ringholz Art Supply Awards in 2009 to encourage visual artists of ALL AGES to go after their own dreams in art. $1000 awards will be distributed this year to artists that through this application highlight their hard work ethic, talent, and heart. Amy firmly believes that dreams are attainable if you have these three qualities. Applicants will be encouraged to give forward and give back using their gift.

The PleinAir Salon $33,000 Art Competition is a monthly online competition consisting of 19 categories. We award over $33,000 each year for this competition. The Annual Grand Prize winner receives a check for $15,000 and is featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. We award an additional $6,500 to the annual winners and award $1,100 monthly to the top three winners of each competition as well as a People’s Choice Award. Each of the 23 monthly winners will be automatically entered into the Annual Competition. The annual awards are presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo each spring.
Because this competition is created by PleinAir magazine, which features not only plein air paintings, but also studio paintings, all types of paintings are eligible and do not need to have been completed in plein air. As we know, many studio paintings start with plein air sketches, and many plein air painters paint figures and still life. Our interest is in rewarding great paintings.

We invite artists to propose experimental, risk-taking projects in the visual arts, film/moving image, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged forms which push boundaries formally and thematically, and/or venture into wild, out-there, never-before-seen concepts and future universes real or imagined. Ultimately, we seek proposals for groundbreaking new work—including, but not limited to, work that attends to the many relationships between social, economic, and environmental justice, and advances the global dialogue around critical issues impacting the sustainability of artists, our communities, our planet, and beyond.
