The SCG ART program brings established artists to Placer County for the purpose of teaching and sharing their artistic talents and experience to the greater community. The program was lovingly established at PCF in memory of a local artist, Susan Cooley Gilliom, by her family.
This is the first national call for this annual residency opportunity. This residency offers a large studio space, funding for projects, and the opportunity to teach wokshops in a formal setting.

A key part of the Performing Arts Readiness project’s support to organizations is through the provision of Network Grants.
Seven (7) grants of between $5,000 - $25,000 each will be awarded for projects to support both the development of new or emerging disaster preparedness networks that include performing arts and culture organizations, and the expansion of existing networks to increase participation among performing arts organizations. Grant recipients will be provided with a two-day training session to strengthen effective facilitation skills and foster relationships among networks.

Since 1987, the City of Carouge (Geneva) has been organising a biennial ceramics competition for the creation of works focusing on an imposed theme.

Festivities
This is the theme chosen by the City of Carouge, a city with a festive reputation, known historically for its inns, cabarets and openness in a formerly austere context.

Festivities are present in all human societies, at all latitudes, yesterday as today, to celebrate happy or unfortunate events. Characterised by excesses, moments of explosion and effervescence in contrast to an often monotonous daily routine, they set the pace for our lives.

Whether collective or private, high-society or popular, antique or contemporary, festivities offer a subject for the most diverse reflections and forms, through an analysis both of its accessories and its constituent rites.

The 19th edition of the International Ceramics Competition also marks the 40th anniversary of the Museum of Carouge, which will host the exhibition of the artists selected.

Our international residencies for ceramicists, visual artists and writers include a semi-private equipped studio, accommodation in the historical center of Rome, and technical assistance in procuring materials for your work, firings, etc., advice on museums, galleries and sites in Rome and beyond.​ The final group show gives artists an opportunity to exhibit their work produced during the residency.

The cost of residencies in the historic center of Rome or in the Roman countryside is based on the length of the residency. For collaborative projects, two artists can share the housing and studio space in the Roman countryside. In that case, each artist will pay a reduced fee. Materials and firing costs are not included and will be deducted from the security deposit. We offer a number of additional perks such as help with travel arrangements and airport pick-ups, museum reservations etc.

Pro Helvetia supports projects that explore new forms of arts and culture outreach and education and that foster the critical discussion on culture and contemporary artistic production. Following “Multiply perspectives” (2022) and “Expanding perspectives” (2023), the third call for applications “Embedded perspectives” (2024) looks at formats and programmes for arts and culture outreach and education (analogue, digital and hybrid) that have a public impact and seek new, creative ways to facilitate access to art and culture and promote dialogue between these fields and the public.

The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose.

Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. Supporting artists equitably is a critical part of the Artadia Award process: we consider the unique populations of each community and are proud to reflect our country’s diversity with an Awardee pool that is over 50 percent female and over 40 percent persons of color.

In addition to financial support, Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network to receive structured opportunities for valuable new connections and resource sharing as well as receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry. The Prix Ars Electronica is the world’s most time-honored media arts competition. Winners are eligible for the coveted Golden Nica awards and monetary prizes of up to 10,000 euros in each category. They will also be featured at the Ars Electronica Festival from September 4 to 8, 2024, in Linz, Austria!

Computer animation has been part of the Prix Ars Electronica since its inception in 1987, and it continues to evolve in an extremely dynamic way. This category focuses on works that explore and experiment with visual expression at the intersection of animation, art and technology. The “Interactive Art +” category is dedicated to interactive works in all forms and formats, from installations to performances. At the top of the agenda is artistic quality in the development and design of the interaction as well as a harmonious dialog between the content level and the interaction level—that is, the inherent principles of interaction and the interfaces that implement them. u19 — create your world is the Prix Ars Electronica’s category for young people. It gives kids and youngsters up to age 19 (with residence in Austria) the opportunity to have a say about the world of tomorrow and to produce and present their concepts of and ideas for it.

Established in 2001, the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts (KHN) is a renowned Artist Residency program that supports established and emerging visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists worldwide. Uniquely housed in a residential prairie-style complex in Nebraska City, Nebraska, KHN awards up to seventy residency awards per year and hosts 5 residents at any time. Residency awards are 2-8 weeks in length and include a weekly $175 stipend. In addition, residents receive their own private bedroom, bathroom, and studio.

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin seeks artists for the annual Midsummer Festival of the Arts, held July 20-21, 2024.

Art in the Park is a fine arts and fine crafts festival that heralds the start of summer in Columbia, MO - an arts-focused college town, home to the University of Missouri and the recipient of the Missouri Arts Council's first ever Creative Community Award. The event features 110 fine artists each year from across the country, and attracts 12-14,000 visitors over the 2-day event. Set amidst the parkland and lakeside of the picturesque Stephens Lake Park. Admission to the festival is free of charge!

The 2024 Art in the Park will include entertainment for children, local musicians, a children's art area, a Young Artist Pavilion showing work by local high school and undergraduate students, a Young Collector's Tent, a Veterans’ Art Pavilion featuring artwork from veteran artists, art installations, and a food court.

Art in the Park seeks proposals for interactive or immersive art installations or sculptures for temporary install the weekend of June 1-2, 2024 as part of the annual Art in the Park event. This year’s event aims to cultivate a more immersive experience, offering guests spaces throughout the event to interact with large-scale experiential and/or participatory works.

Artists considering applying should use the following ideas to guide them in their submissions:

Sunsets: Using the colors of the branding - oranges, peach, periwinkle and ultramarine blues and gradients, ombres, hue transitions

Rainbows: Patterns that use line and layered color or texture

Clouds: Light fluffy shapes and spaces, round or frayed edges, organic shapes

Sky: Vast openness, networks, constellations, air and wind

GUIDELINES:

The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. Residencies are free and one year long, starting on April 1st and October 1st each year, and they take place in the shared Artists’ Studio, including the solvent/etching area and the darkroom.

OUR PROGRAM
The program is open to professional visual, literary, and performance artists: painters, writers, musicians, architects, filmmakers, and choreographers… any artist who needs a place to focus. However, because of the property’s limitations and proximity to neighbors, this is not a place that can accommodate loud or terribly messy processes, such as welding or blacksmithing.

We favor artists whose work is technically advanced, unique, attractive (need not be pretty!), and conceptually valuable. Work that is predominantly conceptual, that must be explained in order to attract a viewer, may not be met with as much enthusiasm by our jurists. In addition, because we ask our residents to interact with the public through one workshop and one final event, we welcome artists who desire to connect with an audience in these ways.

apexart's International Open Call is an opportunity for artists, curators, and other professionals to turn their curatorial idea into an apexart exhibition.
apexart has increased the budget substantially to $10,000 for each Open Call exhibition and related programming. Each curator/organizer must work within apexart’s budget to cover expenses including curator travel, artwork shipping, artist and public program participant honorariums, equipment, installation, and venue fees with $8,000 of the budget. What is the selection process?

1. All submissions will be reviewed individually, and from the total number of submissions, the jury will preselect 50 artists who will also be shortlisted on our website.
2. After the preselection process, the jury will reconvene to select the 20 winners.

Djerassi Resident Artists Program offers docent-guided tours of the sculptures and the property on Sundays in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. This is a unique opportunity for the public to experience the landscape and some of the 170+ sculptures it has inspired over the past 40+ years.

The DYSTOPIA Biennial is calling for proposals for its upcoming edition in 2024: Berlin-India. Broadly organised around the theme of “dys/utopia”, the sound art exhibition brings together a diverse range of sound art related artistic practices, including installations, performances, experimental music, listening sessions, as well as projects in public space.

As a genre of literary fiction, dystopias have always carried measures of reality in them. Dystopian societies are characterised by authoritarian governance, technocratic surveillance, and environmental degradation, and have come to be increasingly marked by ethnic nationalism, global pandemics, and climate catastrophe. These are places where extractive capitalism threatens planetary existence, where war indiscriminately targets civilians, and the possibility of struggle appears to be depleted. If dystopian thinking is an attempt to warn us about the total destruction of the commons, then it is intimately bound up with utopian imagination. With this open call, the DYSTOPIA Biennial invites artists to develop new works or present existing ones that resist our dys/utopian topologies and desire another world.

Following on from the inaugural editions DYSTOPIA festival Berlin-Turkey 2018/2019 and Berlin-Brazil 2020/2021, (Berlin-Russia 2022 had to be cancelled), DYSTOPIA 24 will focus on sound-related practices emerging from the Indian subcontinent. The biennial invites applications for projects that attend to our contemporary condition through sound as a medium, event or memory. Here, the term “sound art” is applied expansively, and the proposed projects may draw on visual, spatial, sculptural, performative, and site-specific means, in addition to acoustic ones.

The open call is addressed to sound artists living/working on the Indian subcontinent, as well as across the European region. The frame is not intended as a national(ist) one and we welcome approaches that upend colonial formations and state-sponsored hegemonies, by listening to the landscape differently and by composing other imaginaries of the territory. While the Indian subcontinent gives this edition of the biennial its political thrust, individual works need not consider it subject matter in an overt way. Rather we solicit practices operating from within their own contexts, making their own meaning and defining their own references.

For DYSTOPIA Berlin 2024 around 15 projects will be selected by an international jury, and it is with this scope in mind that we direct our attention to artistic sensibilities specific to a cultural geography.

Different expressions of this network are presented in various formats and venues throughout the year within the Onassis ecosystem and beyond.
By bringing together creative practitioners from different strands of life and practice through its various programs, Onassis AiR has become a meeting point for cross-disciplinary thinking and exchange of ideas, bringing forward themes that concern us today, always in dialogue with the city we live in and the ever-evolving world around us.

The Jim Henson Foundation awards grants each year for the creation of innovative new works of contemporary puppet theater. Our definition of a puppet is an object that is given the appearance of life through direct or indirect manipulation by the human hand. The Foundation’s Board of Directors judges applications based on the excellence of the puppetry including puppet design, manipulation and theatrical execution.
All Artist Grants are to be used towards puppetry. This includes the building and performing of the puppets and the integration of the puppets in the piece.

This nationally recognized juried competition, established by Martin and Doris Rosen, has long served as a point of pride for Appalachian State University and is presented annually by An Appalachian Summer Festival and the Turchin Center for the Visual Arts. Each year, ten sculptures are selected for installation in outdoor, public settings across the university campus. Cash prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place. This year a new prize will be awarded for Best in Show. The Rosen Award winners are selected by the juror and are announced at the Annual Sculpture Walk in July, a highlight of the summer festival season.

Ten finalists will be selected to install their artwork on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. All artists whose works are installed will receive a $1700 honorarium to offset round trip transportation, lodging, and incidental expenses. Any additional costs are the responsibility of the artists. The Rosen Sculpture Competition & Exhibition will cover the material costs of installation and de-installation. The 38th Annual Rosen Competition & Exhibition will feature four cash prizes and all winners will be designated the Martin & Doris Rosen 38th Anniversary Award Winners. The top three artists will receive the following cash prizes: $4,000 for First Place, $3,000 for Second Place and $2,000 for Third Place. The new Best of Show Award recipient will receive $5000.

CERF+’s Get Ready program provides individual craft artists grants up to $1,000 to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers and prepare for emergencies. Artists are encouraged to use the Risk Assessment activity to generate ideas.
Priority will be given to applications from people who identify in the global majority or as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)* and folk and traditional artists.

* Language use is a key element of access, equity, and inclusion work, and can help or hinder efforts in this area. We are currently using the term “people of the global majority” and Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) to describe individuals from prioritized communities. In recent years, activists have taken to staging protests in museums as a way to draw attention to the pressing issues of climate change and in doing so suggest the art world was somehow at odds with the goals of humanity having a healthy, ethical relationship to the natural world. The premise of the “Collage the Planet: Environmentalism in Art Artist Residency” is that science has the capacity to tell us how to care for the planet, but those solutions are meaningless if humanity doesn’t care enough to evolve and change. Art is a unique technology that can distill complexity into simple human gestures that, when experienced, facilitate a deeper understanding of our world. In short, art can be a tool for caring.

What role can artists play in sorting through the complex social, political, and economic dynamics that shape our discourse around the environment and leave us feeling confused and powerless? How do we sort through such complexity and develop an understanding for ourselves of what an ethical and healthy relationship with the natural world could be? What is the relationship between our individual choices and the systemic change needed to bring humanity’s relationship with the natural world into harmony? How do we move beyond rhetoric, cliche, and performative actions and towards meaningful change? In this six-day, in-person residency, collage artists will create work that explores environmentalism in art and make artwork that contributes to a broader dialogue on sustainability and ecological consciousness. Residents will reflect on the balance between human activity and the environment and explore strategies to draw attention to issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and the impact of industrialization on our planet.

This residency is particularly important to New Orleans, a city deeply connected to its natural surroundings and witness to ecological challenges and natural disasters that have left indelible marks on its landscape and community.
The goal of this residency is to support collage artists as they adapt their artist practice to speak to the complexities of environmental issues and contribute to a broader dialogue on sustainability and ecological consciousness. During the residency, artists will consider how elements of their practice (research & play, process, making, finishing, diffusion, and impact & engagement) can be adapted.

Artists will be invited to submit artwork to the exhibition “Collage the Planet: Environmentalism in Art”, 19 April to 19 May 2024 at Kolaj Institute Gallery in New Orleans and to participate in The Recycle Challenge Parade and Festival taking place in the St. Claude neighborhood.

ABOUT THE JUROR

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, Stefan Chinov holds an MA from the National Academy of the Arts in Sofia and an MFA from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. His work has been shown across the United States and internationally, including the Sculpture Center in Cleveland, OH, Tigre Museum of Art in Argentina, and Sofia University Gallery. He has completed residency fellowships and projects in the United States, Antarctica, Turkey, Israel, and Spain. Currently he teaches sculpture and drawing at Wright State University in Dayton, OH.

ENTRY FEES
• $15 each piece for up to three pieces.
• Pay online by card when you submit your work.

REQUIREMENTS
• Artwork must be no larger than 48”x48”x48”
• Artwork must be professionally presented, framing is encouraged, but not required. 2D work must be ready to hang with wiring on back. DSA is open to other installation methods, but they must be pre-approved.
• 3D artwork must fit on a pedestal that has a footprint of 24 x 24 inches (or smaller) or sit on the floor.
• Artwork must have been created in the past 3 years.
• Artwork must be labelled with artist name, title, and e-mail.
• Artwork must not have been exhibited before at the DSA or virtually through the DSA.
• Artwork may not be picked up before the close of the show.
• Accepted work that differs significantly from submitted image or suffers from poor presentation will be disqualified.

ART DELIVERY / RETURN
• Artists maintain responsibility for insuring fine artwork during shipment and/or travel (including U.S. mail delivery) to the DSA. The DSA will acknowledge receipt of work when physically received by appropriate DSA personnel.
• All work selected for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works not gallery-ready, or not exhibiting good craftsmanship, may be omitted from the exhibit. Accepted work that differs significantly from the submitted images, or suffers from poor presentation, will be disqualified. Works must be hand delivered or shipped. Exhibited work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Works not claimed within 30 days of the end of the exhibit will become the property of the DSA.
• Shipped Works: Shipped works must be sent in reusable packaging. Artists are responsible for return shipping costs and should include a return label with the shipped artwork or emailed to the director by the close of the show. Works will be returned in the same manner as received by FEDEX/UPS/USPS. Artwork must be received before Sun. March 24th and will be shipped out the week of May 19th.
• In-Person Delivery: Works will be returned in the same manner as received.

LIABILITY & SALES
• The DSA has fine art insurance for work physically inside the gallery. Artists maintain responsibility of insuring work during shipment and travel. Damage caused by the failure of the work itself is not covered. If work has an insurance price of over $500, then any insurance claim must be accompanied by documentation of past sales and/or a professional 3rd party appraisal.
• Please note: DSA does not have constant climate control in its galleries.
• DSA takes NO COMMISSION on sales but donations are welcome. Please price work accordingly or as -Not for Sale-. Do not include shipping in the price of the piece. After sales are completed, the artist will be responsible for coordinating with purchaser to deliver/ship work. Artists may use the High Street Gallery as a meeting point. Donations are always appreciated and help support future programming.

AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE
Submitting indicates that you agree with the conditions of entry and exhibit as outlined in these guidelines, and that you agree to make your work available and will ship/deliver it to the gallery should it be selected for exhibit. It begins as the psychological process by which a child learns to fill the gaps between knowledge, reality and experience, and becomes a vital adult coping mechanism. Psychoanalysis and counseling have their place, but the most important tool we as humans have to tackle reality, is the creation of fantasies. What is your interpretation of fantasy? You can draw from science fiction, folklore or mythology to create imaginative worlds. You can imagine a utopian world or create heroes, superheroes, and creatures that only exist in your imagination. Works can excite pleasurable senses or explore dark fantasies and obsessions. Works can contain magical or supernatural elements. Share your fantasy with us.

Initiated in 2018, the Universal Access Artist Residency is for artists who identify as having a disability. This month-long residency provides funding, studio space, and professional support for a national artist to produce a solo exhibition immediately following the residency at Artspace. During the residency the artist works in the gallery where the work will be exhibited.

Residents can actively contribute to Artspace’s artistic and educational programming by participating in First Friday, Raleigh’s monthly art walk; being available for studio visits and tours; and working in their studios during Artspace’s business hours. While this contribution is encouraged, the main goal of this residency is to provide the resident with the space and opportunity to devote themselves to their creative practice.

Blue Space Gallery introduces the inaugural "Open Themed” international competition and online exhibition. Traditional Arts Touring Grants increase the public awareness, understanding, and appreciation of the traditional arts in the South. These grants support in-person or live virtual residencies by Southern traditional artists in Southern communities.

Through the generous support of the Altman Foundation, New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) is pleased to announce the fourth edition of The Incubator for Executive Leaders of Color, a free program that will provide leadership training and community support for up to 16-18 arts administrators from April 2024 to September 2024.

By fostering the professional development of leaders of Color, we aim to encourage the sustainability and success of their organizations, and the equitability and diversity of the arts industry.

NYFA will work with facilitators from Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities. The curriculum will be designed through the lens of inclusion and racial equity, and we will work diligently with partner organizations and external consultants to ensure that we meet the needs of our participants. In order to enhance the program outcomes, we are implementing the learnings of the first three editions generously supported by the Altman Foundation and Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

At Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, he wore many hats: resident artist, teacher, skateboarder, and friend you could run your wildest art ideas by. Well known by visual artists as the "Gift of Time", the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program was established in 1967. This gift of time allows artists to work without distraction in an effort to break new ground and focus on individual goals. The Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program’s interest is in strengthening the vitality of the visual art in New Mexico and has been a catalyst in broadening community understanding of contemporary art for over fifty years.

ArtSpace36 seeks exhibition proposals from artists for the Summer 2025 - Spring 2026 season. Located in Canandaigua NY, ArtSpace36 is a Main Street gallery and creative project space run by the Department of Visual and Performing Arts of Finger Lakes Community College.

Residencies will be held in Lee, Massachusetts in the Berkshires for 7 days. Resident artists are provided room and board, working space, and a stipend of $500 for the duration of their time in Lee. Residents also have the option to invite up to 3 collaborators for any portion of the residency. Invited collaborators will be provided a stipend of $50 for each day they are in Lee. The Barn at Lee accepts applicants from everywhere, however, we reimburse the resident’s transportation costs up to $100.

The Barn at Lee provides residencies to emerging artists working in the field of Performing Arts. The Emerging Artist has an notoriously elusive definition, but we like many aspects of this definition of an Early Career Artist from the Jerome Foundation:

Eligible artists for our programs are in the early stages of their creative development with 2-10 years of generative experience, and:

-have a focused direction and goals, even while still developing their artistic “voice”

-have yet to be substantially celebrated within their field, the media, funding circles or the public at large

-are vocational (as opposed to avocational, academic, amateur or educational) artists

This residency is open to artists working on projects at all stages of development. There is no deliverable requirement of a resident artist. The Barn at Lee asks only that a portion of the residency be open for public interaction. The nature of this opening is flexible and will be designed for the benefit of both the Lee community and the working artist.

Artists with personal ties to railroad history are invited to submit for consideration to create artwork centered on stories of ancestors who built the transcontinental railroad. Descendants of this labor or of Indigenous communities who were displaced because of this labor are
encouraged to apply. Visual and performing artists are welcome to submit. Several artists may be selected.

Selected artist contributions will become part of a traveling public artwork, High Iron, which will connect former rail towns along the I-80 corridor in Wyoming. The project will begin its journey in Laramie, Wyoming in September 2024. High Iron will feature an interactive labor exhibition, an oral history collection station, and be the center of accompanying community programming.
High Iron will shine light on buried narratives of an incredibly diverse state, a culture of care, and immigrant contribution. High Iron is a project of Monument Lab's Re:Generation, supported by the Mellon Foundation.

Artwork format is not predefined. The High Iron team will work with selected artist(s) on how their work becomes part of the larger project housed in a modified railcar.

Conversations with Artists invites all artists to submit artwork for possible inclusion in our online group exhibition Drawing Madness. We are celebrating making marks and lines in all kinds of materials, and work can be figurative or abstract, 2D or 3D. All artists are encouraged to apply regardless of where they reside. Presenting the inaugural " Aesthetic Anomalies " international competition and online exhibition. Visions of Nature

Artistic engagement with nature brings us near to the beginnings of art as such. These visions always capture a human presence, forming a context for people to tell stories and find meaning in the world they inhabit and, to an ever greater degree, shape. Visions of nature carry a degree of idealization: the enduring vision of a classical Arcadia, the personified worlds of animism and mythology, and site of struggle between purity and corruption. Animals, from depictions of Aurochs in early cave paintings to Picasso’s Boy Leading a Horse (1906), also speak to the highly personal yet fraught relationship between humans and other living creatures. Many of the great artists of history — Vincent van Gogh’s trees, Hokusai’s waves, Albrecht Dürer’s Rhinoceros — had a particular vision of nature that drove their work forward. Site:Brooklyn is looking for work that engages in this tradition, while developing new and innovative forms of expressions.

About the Juror:
Gabriel de Guzman is Director of Arts & Chief Curator at Wave Hill, where he oversees the visual and performing arts program at the public garden and cultural center in the Bronx. He has previously held curatorial positions at Smack Mellon and The Jewish Museum. As a guest curator, he has organized exhibitions for Dorsky Gallery Curatorial Programs, The Bronx Museum of the Arts, Dyckman Farmhouse Museum, Rush Arts Gallery, En Foco at Andrew Freedman Home, BronxArtSpace, Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, and other venues. His essays have been published in Nueva Luz: Photographic Journal and in catalogs for the Museum of Arts and Design, Arsenal Gallery at Central Park, Kenise Barnes Fine Art, and the art institutions mentioned above.

All images must be in JPEG/JPG format using CaFÉ guidelines. The image size must be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Maximum file size is 5 mb.
Accepted video formats include MOV, MP4, WMV. Aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920 x1080, bit rate recommended above 240 kbps, recommended frame rate 30 fps. SALES
All sales inquiries will be directed to the artist’s website and/or contact information. For any artwork that is sold, the artists receive 100% of the sale.

GIVING BACK
A portion of the proceeds from the entry fees is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.

Cash awards over $600 are subject to federal income tax withholding within the United States. A W-9 form must be filled out by the winner and submitted to Art Fluent, Inc.

Pasadena Photography Arts is pleased to announce an open call for our PPA Photo Award 2024: Excellence in Contemporary Photography (Open Theme). The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites current visual art and design graduate students and MFA/MA degree recipients since January 2023 to submit works of art in any media, genre, subject matter, or content, traditional and non-traditional for a juried art exhibition, July 12 - August 9.

Djerassi Hike Program Director, Danny Goldberg, will be offering the Sound Immersion Experience from 2:30pm-4pm on March 30th, April 27th, and May 18th. Danny offers this program for the Stanford University Healthy Living Program and he is now sharing his offering on the incredible Djerassi grounds.

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, seeks entries for a juried art exhibition, July 12 - August 9, 2024. Honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view. Visual artists and designers are invited to submit works of any type or style that somehow address or feature the animal as primary subject, form, or content. Submissions can range from the most traditional to the most conceptual or experimental two-dimensional or three-dimensional works.

The Mudhouse is an artist residency located in the village of Agios Ioannis on the Island of Crete, Greece. The Mudhouse Residency aims to provide artists inspiration derived from an engagement with the stunning natural beauty of its environment, solitude to foster creative growth, an artistic community to enrich professional practices, and an immersive cultural experience within a profoundly rich historical context.

Started in 2015 and now in its eighth year, the Mudhouse offers three two-week sessions each summer for international contemporary artists working across a manifold of artistic disciplines, from paint, to ceramics, to experimental film. We welcome visual artists, writers, musicians and performers. Hosting an incredibly diverse, multicultural, multi-generational cohort of artists in each residency session, the Mudhouse encourages dialogues across traditional boundaries. Artists are invited to present a slideshow, lecture or reading on their work for fellow residents, as well as participate in a closing exhibition at the Residency’s conclusion that will be installed jointly in the ruins around the village and the exhibition space. The artists' time is their own, to focus on their art practice and explore the rich history of southern Crete and the Minoan civilization.

As an artist founded and operated residency, the Mudhouse’s ethos continues to be to provide an increasingly diverse group of artists an affordable, international residency experience. Through the support of individual donors and foundations, the Mudhouse is able to extend a Partial Fellowship to every artist who attends, and three Full Fellowships. All fellowships are awarded through a competitive, juried process. Determined by a selection committee, Full fellowships will be based on the merit of the applicants work while Partial fellowships will be need based.

Partial fellowship recipients are asked to pay a reduced fee to attend. While the overall cost of The Mudhouse Residency is $4,200 per artist for the Summer 2024, the residency fee for partially funded fellowships is $3200. Artists who demonstrate additional financial need may request further financial assistance of a 25% discount, bringing the residency fee to $2600.

The Mudhouse Residency includes the accommodations of the artist for the duration of the Residency, as well as lunch and dinner served family style each day within the village.

Award: All artists who submit to this show will be accepted and have at least one of their submitted works posted and promoted on our website and to our client list. A select number of artists will be chosen to send their work to the gallery for the in-person exhibition at our brick and mortar gallery in Laguna Beach, California.

This award is available to current undergraduate or graduate students, recent graduates (within one year), or those who have completed a university-equivalent training in ceramics (including apprenticeship and mentorship programs) within the year prior to the application deadline.

During the grant year, the recipient can research a new technique or process, study with a mentor or in an apprenticeship setting, travel to other ceramic art centers or institutions for classes and workshops, collaborate with artists of another media, and travel. Proposals to fund large capital equipment purchases will not be accepted. The recipient will contribute project updates to NCC’s social media and is required to give a public presentation at their school or other institution following the completion of their proposed activities.

To bring attention to a statewide educational campaign addressing problem gambling, Illinois-based artists ages 14 and up, are called to shine a light on the journey from darkness to hope for individuals challenged with gambling addiction.

Co-presented by Way Back Inn and a5 Branding & Digital in partnership with the Illinois Department of Human Services, Are you Really Winning? is a public service campaign that aims to help people with gambling issues and provide ways to prevent losing it all to gambling. The call to action drives people to areyoureallywinning.com and to the helpline at 1.800.GAMBLER.

Are You Really Winning? invites artists to participate in this statewide campaign through the submission of artwork that will bring a powerful voice to problem gambling issues and motivate those afflicted with gambling addiction to seek help. Entries will be reviewed by a professional jury and stipends of $2,000, $1,000 and $500 will be awarded to selected emerging and/or established artists. Additionally, Visa gift cards of $100 will be awarded for up to five artists in the Student category. We award an additional $9,200 to the annual winners and award $2,150 monthly. The annual awards are presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo each spring.

Because this competition is created by PleinAir magazine, which features not only plein air paintings, but also studio paintings, all types of paintings are eligible and do not need to have been completed in plein air. As we know, many studio paintings start with plein air sketches, and many plein air painters paint figures and still life. Our interest is in rewarding great paintings.

Submissions are open to Texas artists, working in any visual medium, who have taken their inspiration from the natural environment of the North Texas area.

Between Natura is an invitation to explore and acknowledge the ever-flowing relationship between artists and the natural world. Composed of work that addresses this relationship between artist and muse, this inaugural PETAL exhibition seeks to showcase the diverse beauty and wonder of the unique North Texas natural landscape.

The Early Career Artist Residency program encompasses two unique fellowships, designed to provide up to four ceramic artists with the opportunity to be in residence at Northern Clay Center for one year, where they can develop their work and exchange ideas and knowledge with other ceramic artists. The BIPOC Studio Fellowship will support one early career ceramic artist of color who is working in a functional, sculptural, relational, or installation-based manner. The 2024 recipient will share a furnished studio space from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. The recipient will be provided additional resources to pursue mentorship opportunities including participation in the NCECA conference, support more robust materials and firing use, and to buttress the cost of living.

The Art School at Old Church invites you to apply to In Hand, a juried exhibition that explores the drinking vessel and the various approaches to the form. The exhibition will be in person in The Mikhail Zakin Gallery at The Art School at Old Church in Demarest, NJ and online. This year's juror will be Bruce Dehnert.

Submission Guidelines:
Size: no larger than 10” tall and 7” wide.
