The Delaplaine Arts Center, 40 South Carroll St, Frederick, Maryland, announces the 2026 Elizabeth Barker Delaplaine Award for Young Artists (the Bettie Award). Bettie Delaplaine was a lifelong supporter of the arts in Frederick County, Maryland. Her strong belief in the importance of the arts in our community, and the importance of supporting young emerging artists, inspired The Delaplaine Arts Center to create the Elizabeth Barker Delaplaine Award for Young Artists–affectionately known as the Bettie Awards–in her honor. The award program is an annual event run in March, nationally recognized as Youth Art Month

The Paseo Project invites artists to apply for participation in Disturbance, a new interdisciplinary program that pairs artists with scientists to explore wildfire as both a destabilizing force and a regenerative element in ecological and social systems. This project will unfold through shared research, creative collaboration, and public engagement, culminating in an exhibition and series of events in Taos, New Mexico, September–December 2026. Through a required four-day Northern New Mexico based “fire ecology boot camp,” selected artists will be immersed in collaborative dialogue with fire practitioners and ecologists, and site visits to burn scars and post-fire landscapes. Artists will then return to their home studios to develop new work that reflects on the ecological, cultural, and emotional dimensions of wildfire. These works will then be shared in an exhibition in Taos, NM, designed to engage the broader community in dialogue about living with fire in a climate-altered future.

The Eskenazi School of Art Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for the 2028 McKinney International Art and Design Residency. An established artist or designer will be selected whose primary country of residence is outside the United States. Applicants should be actively engaged in a contemporary artistic practice and show evidence of a national and international exhibition record. Applications from practitioners of studio disciplines, as well as criticism, are welcome.

The Lux Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for TOUCHé, an exhibition exploring the tactile language of texture. From the smooth to the rough, the layered to the ephemeral, this show celebrates the material qualities that invite touch—both real and imagined.
They’re seeking artworks that highlight the sensory experience of texture—pieces that evoke touch through illusion, surface, and materiality, as well as works that can be physically touched or handled by viewers. The exhibition will include a mix of “look-but-don’t-touch” and interactive works, creating a conversation between the seen and the felt.
They ask that each selected artist provide a small sample piece, if conducive to the material, that may be safely handled by visitors. This will allow audiences to engage directly with the materials and gain a tactile experience rarely available in a gallery setting.
Artists may interpret “texture” literally or conceptually—through surface, pattern, density, or emotional resonance. All mediums are welcome, including painting, sculpture, fiber, ceramics, mixed media, installation, and digital work.

This exhibition explores the intersection of fashion, circus, and stagecraft, capturing the drama, elegance, and eccentricity of the performing arts. Art of the Spectacle creates a visual celebration of performance, where costume, movement, and theatrics take center stage. Artists are invited to submit works that embrace the bold, the theatrical, and the extraordinary. Whether inspired by vintage vaudeville, avant-garde fashion, or the magic of the circus, this show seeks artwork that transforms the gallery into a stage, where every piece tells a story.

Re-Inhabiting Conservation: Using Art to Bring Wildlife Conservation Closer to Home is the final exhibition in a three-part series that “re” considers the role of artists in wildlife conservation and explores the possibilities of art informed by science. The exhibition asks, “In light of all we have wondered, imagined, and hoped, what do we DO NOW?” This exhibition encourages artists, writers, creatives, and viewers to rethink our relationship to boundaries, both geographic and practical, including divisions between art and science. Re-Inhabiting Conservation asks us to live in a conservation mindset, make a home here—at the intersection of art and science—and commit to caring for the habitats, resources, and species around us.

Bothy Project is delighted to announce its latest open call for Self-Directed Residencies at Sweeney’s Bothy, a simple off-grid building in unique surroundings on the Isle of Eigg, on Scotland’s west coast. Self-Directed Residencies last one week (seven nights) and are a self-funded route for practitioners in visual art, craft & design, music, literature and performance. Applications are welcome from individual practitioners who are able to demonstrate at least three years of active practice, and are based in the UK or Europe. Their Self-Directed Residencies support interesting, ambitious and challenging practices, and provide space and time for practitioners to focus without distraction in a unique landscape and off-grid space.

In 2025, The d’Art Center launched its first Glass Circuit Event in alignment with Chrysler Museum’s Perry Glass Studio Grand Reopening Weekend. The Glass Circuit Tour featured glass exhibits, glass demos, art activities, and free transportation that connected three venues - The d’Art Center, Chrysler’s Perry Glass Studio, and The Glass Light Hotel.

This year, the Glass Immersed Dual Installation at d’Art Center will feature a Juried Glass Art Exhibit as well as an Artisan Glass Sale from both local and national artists. This installation will also outline the history of Norfolk’s Glass Scene, as well as the history of the Studio Glass Making Movement. The Juried Exhibit will highlight a unique and diverse range of glass artworks.

This Dual Installation will be a destination on The Norfolk Glass Circuit Event, scheduled Sunday, March 29th, 2026.

Oglebay Institute is seeking established and up and coming artists to inspire, collaborate, and share their talents with their local schools and community. The Stifel Fine Arts Center Artist Residency program will partner with interested artists to build a body of work, and conduct school and community outreach programs while gaining critical skills for their future career, or by adding to their existing portfolio. Using an innovative residency model, their goal is to expand the impact of resident artists’ skillsets while encompassing the larger community. This program will afford artists the opportunity to showcase their skills in our arts center while simultaneously teaching and composing materials for an exhibition environment. This residency program is supported by funding from the EQT Foundation and the Elizabeth Stifel Kline Foundation.

From the impressive, multi-tiered waterfalls of the Tennessee River Valley to the wide and shallow Mobile Bay, Alabama boasts a rich and complex network of waterways recognized globally for its unique ecological significance. Members of the Alabama Women’s Caucus for Art, comprising a nexus of creatives from throughout the “River State”, will create a diversity of interpretive works that reflect on the rivers, streams, wetlands, and coastal borders of this sweet, beautiful, biodiverse home. ALWCA presents “From Source to Sea: Alabama Streams of She”, a juried exhibition to be held at the Library Gallery at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, open to all ALWCA members in good standing. This will be the first ALWCA full-member exhibition in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Rijksakademie welcomes artists to develop their work over a one or two-year period in Amsterdam, starting from January 2027. The Rijksakademie houses a highly international, multi-disciplinary, experimental and critically engaged artist community. Residents are supported with a studio, a work budget and a stipend and benefit from an array of opportunities for exchange, including peer to peer dialogue and visits from a wide range of leading art professionals. They have access to technical workshops as well as an extensive library and a historical collection. There is guidance by technical specialists, who foster hands-on, innovative and collaborative approaches to making.

The Visual Arts Fellowship awards excellence in Visual Arts (i.e., drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, and video). Visual Arts finalists will receive a $300 honorable mention award. The Luminarts Visual Arts Fellowship is $10,000 per artist. Luminarts Fellows are eligible to apply for additional project funding and professional development opportunities for 10 years after winning the Fellowship. Applicants may reapply to the Luminarts Fellowship annually, but they are only eligible to receive the Fellowship award once.

Fusion Art announces the Black & White 2026 Art Competition.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using black & white & the nuanced shades in between.

Blue Mountain Center is a working community of writers, artists, and activists in the heart of Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Established creative and non-fiction writers, artists not requiring exceptional facilities, composers, filmmakers, and activists working for social justice are eligible applicants. Residents are chosen by an Admissions Committee of accomplished authors and artists. The committee is particularly interested in fine work which evinces social and ecological concern and is aimed at a general audience. International applicants are welcome.

The State of New York, in collaboration with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation and the Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Memorial Commission has issued a “Call for Artists” inviting artists, architects, or teams to submit plans for the design of a new and permanent memorial in Brooklyn, NY dedicated to honoring Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG). A joint committee will review submissions and select a group of finalists to move forward into the second round. The Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg Memorial Commission will make a final recommendation among the finalists to Governor Kathy Hochul, who will announce a winning artist to design, fabricate, and install the artwork.

Artists are invited to interpret the theme “No Boundaries” in an original piece of fiber-based artwork. Boundaries can keep things in or keep things out. They may be physical, geographical, or even emotional. This exhibition asks artists to explore the creation of art with “No Boundaries.” Artwork will be considered in any media but MUST contain a minimum of 25% fiber components or fiber techniques.

The City of Duarte is seeking original designs by local artists to cover twenty-one (21) utility boxes at fifteen (15) different locations as part of the Utility Box Art Program. “Utility boxes” include traffic controllers, meter pedestals, and irrigation control boxes. Some locations contain a smaller meter pedestal adjacent to the traffic controller. The Utility Box Art Program aims to transform these metal cabinets into works of art, supporting efforts to create a more vibrant, attractive, and welcoming cityscape and contributing to the unique character of each site location. They invite local emerging artists 18 years of age and older to showcase their talents while promoting eye-catching public art throughout the City.

For the second year, Field Projects (NYC) is teaming up with In Situ Polyculture Commons, an arts residency and eco-cultural catalyst (Southeastern Vermont) to offer their 2026 Solo Show & Residency Fellowship! This opportunity includes a 2-3 week art residency in Vermont in summer 2026, plus a solo exhibition in NYC in fall 2026 for an individual artist OR a collaborative group of up to 4 people, and a stipend of $1500 to be used as the artist(s) sees fit. FP & ISPC are two artist-run organizations who have created a fellowship opportunity that they would want, and that helps each of them further their missions to platform artists doing and making important creative work.

Jacky Winter is fueled by a constant commitment to the careful balance of art and commerce. The Jacky Winter Gardens artist-in-residence program offers time and space for the creation or development of new commercial work, or continuation of an existing project. This is an entirely self-directed residency, with the only acquittal requirement being a broad one-page statement upon the completion of the residency — so they can hear about what you worked on, and share it with those who might wish to follow in your footsteps! They also ask you acknowledge Jacky Winter Gardens as a part of any completed projects worked on during your time there. Residents are required to pay for their own food and transport during their stay, but there are no other fees associated with the residency.

The Michael P. Smith Fund for Documentary Photography (MPS Fund) was created to honor the life and work of Michael P. Smith, one of New Orleans’ most legendary and beloved documentary photographers. The MPS Fund awards cash prizes and exhibition opportunities to Gulf Coast photographers whose work combines artistic excellence and a sustained commitment to a cultural documentary project.

The Wiregrass Biennial is a juried exhibition open to all artists living and working in the South over 18 years of age. Eligible states include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. All work must be original and completed within the last three years. They are seeking innovative and progressive work that utilizes a diversity of art forms and media. Sloss Metal Arts is currently seeking 2026 Visiting Artists! Sloss Furnaces Foundation hosts several 8-week Visiting Artists throughout the year, typically in the Summer and Fall. The 21st Annual ArtWalk Liberty Station takes place in a beautiful park setting in San Diego's premier arts and culture district, ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. Booths are laid out in pods of two or four, giving every artist a corner space. Produced by the same team that brings Mission Fed ArtWalk to San Diego's Little Italy each Spring, the event is extremely well-marketed, drawing over 20,000 attendees each year. TEDxUTAustin is a student-led platform that aims to spread new ideas and connect a community in Austin eager to grow its impact. At their annual TEDx conference, they draw upon Austin's unique students, professors, and community members to host diverse, rich, and enlightening experiences for others. Following their 2026 conference, they will host an interactive art showcase in the Texas Union open to all members of the Austin community. They hope to bring together a diverse community of artists, each contributing their unique talent and perspective. Excluding performance mediums (i.e. dancing, music, etc.), all mediums and forms of art are welcome.

This 12th Annual Allegany National Photography Competition & Exhibition (ANPCE), sponsored by the Allegany Arts Council, will meld the region’s rich concentration of photographic artists with an influx of national photographers in a juried competition offering $6,500 in cash prizes.

FLUID ECOLOGIES is an international open call and exhibition exploring ecologies across a broad spectrum and the ways in which such systems respond, change, adapt, and evolve.

The project invites artists to consider the concept of an ‘ecology’ as a metaphor and framework for how one lives, interacts, and relates - an opportunity to visualize and respond to the systems that sustain and impact, both on a personal level and in the world writ large.

Analog – Made by Hand celebrates photography as a slow, tactile, and intentional practice. In contrast to digital reproduction, analog photography emphasizes craft, material engagement, and presence—from the moment light meets film to the physical act of printing. This exhibition highlights photographs shaped by time, chemistry, and handwork, where process is central to the photographic experience.

PhotoPlace Gallery invites submissions of photographs created using analog capture and/or historical, alternative, or handmade photographic processes. Submitted work is reviewed digitally, but selected images should clearly convey the physical qualities of the final print, including surface, texture, tonality, and edge detail where relevant.

This highly recognized and esteemed show is located in downtown Carbondale, CO, on Main St. and the Rio Grande Trail. The Town of Carbondale, CO is located 30 miles from Aspen and draws in a diverse local and international community for art appreciation, as well as being included in a Creative Arts District. The Public Art Commission assists in the marketing and sales of the sculptures to enhance the possibility of an artist commission. An Artist Reception and Community Art Walk takes place on June 4, 2026, and artist attendance is highly recommended.

The fourth Arizona Wine Country Artists Village art fair will be held in Old Town Cottonwood, Arizona on Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8 2026, (load-in Thursday, March 5 or Friday morning 6 AM, at the Old Town Activity Park located at 187 E. Pima Street. Old Town Cottonwood has reinvented itself as a world-class wine tourism destination with a number of fine-dining restaurants, bakeries, shops, galleries, and ten wine-tasting rooms including Maynard Keenan’s new multi-million dollar wine-making/tasting room/restaurant located virtually across Main Street from the event. Only 30 minutes from Sedona and 10 minutes from Jerome, Old Town Cottonwood has become the region’s hottest tourism destination. Visitors from the immediate region, the state, the Southwest, the US, and the world visit Cottonwood to partake of the outstanding food, excellent wine, beautiful scenery, fascinating history, and multiple outdoor activities. The event is held on a flat, grassy field that was once a baseball field and is city property. The event is only steps from Main Street and there is adequate parking for hundreds of visitors. Art that may appeal to tourists is strongly suggested. This event is promoted by two exhibiting artists with years of experience setting-up at outdoor art fairs and is structured with both the artist and the attendee in mind. There will be 36 booth space available at the premiere event.

The Artflow Prize is a biannual initiative designed to provide emerging artists with international exposure and opportunities to showcase their work. This prestigious award includes a £200 cash prize and aims to support promising new talent by facilitating collaborations with Artflow Studio and our partners, JustArt Collective,The Hechyeomoyeo, HelloArt, IOAEA (Insights of an Eco Artist). Their mission is to encourage artistic creation and reassure emerging artists that they are here to support them.

There are many types of devotion. Are there similarities in devotional rituals and forms? This call asks artists living in New Mexico or Arizona to submit work that centers on devotion. After the exhibition opens, the curators will award two artists to exhibit at Light Art Space in 2027.

The City of Greenwood Village, in partnership with the Greenwood Village Arts & Humanities Council (GVAHC), invites qualified artists or artist teams to submit proposals for a permanent, site-specific outdoor sculpture(s) to be integrated into the improvement corridor at Carson Park to include a new Pavilion. This commission celebrates the City’s 75th Anniversary and seeks to honor the site’s agricultural heritage, natural setting, and the civic identity of Greenwood Village.

The New Jersey Arts Annual is a unique series of exhibitions highlighting the State’s visual and performing artists. In partnership with major museums around the state, one exhibition takes place each year, alternating between host institutions. These exhibitions are open to any artist currently living or working in New Jersey. The Arts Annual series is sponsored by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts. The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Original (AASAF), is the original art fair of the three concurrent fairs that annually transform central Ann Arbor into the largest juried outdoor art fair in the nation. The City of Florence is pleased to invite emerging, mid-career and established artists to submit work to the Public Arts Committee’s program, Art Exposed: A Rotating Outdoor Art Gallery. Florence is offering artists an opportunity to display their work throughout the Historic Old Town district for a two-year period. Artists are offered a stipend of $1,500 to provide their work for a maximum of two years. During the two-year period, the art would be available for sale, with the City of Florence keeping a portion (30%) of the sale proceeds to support the future of the Public Arts Program. The artist will have the opportunity to replace any sold art with a new piece during the two-year timeframe.

The Palmer Museum of Art at Penn State is pleased to announce a Call for Entries for a juried exhibition marking the country’s 250th anniversary in 2026. There is no entry fee. Submissions (digital images of 1-3 works completed in the last 18 months) will be due February 15, 2026; accepted artists will be notified by March 15, 2026; the exhibition will be on view at the Palmer June 13 to November 29, 2026. Artists are expected to deliver works in person or via mail to the Palmer in early May 2026.

This globally recognised competition has ten industry-relevant categories and is judged by distinguished professionals from the global illustration industry. The Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival is dedicated to enhancing the public's appreciation of works completed in the plein air method while providing a venue for established and emerging artists to share their work with collectors and the community. Wayne Art Center's 18th Annual Plein Air Festival will take place May 3 through May 9, 2026, when 32 juried artists from across the country arrive to paint scenes within a 35-mile radius of Wayne, Pennsylvania, drawing inspiration from the historical architecture, cityscapes, waterfronts, and lush landscapes that define the area.

Art Birmingham, originally known as the Birmingham Fine Art Festival, now in its 45th year, takes place on the street surrounding Shain Park, in downtown Birmingham, Michigan. The fair is surrounded by convenient parking for artists and fairgoers and within easy access to the many unique stores and fabulous restaurants of downtown Birmingham. This highly respected event will showcase juried artists in an elegant and extraordinary setting. Attracting approximately 80,000 fair goers, this fair produced in association with the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC), benefits the “Art for All” vision of the BBAC.

The Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair is one of three official partner fairs that comprise the award-winning and highly respected Ann Arbor Art Fair, attended by close to 400,000 people each year. The Summer Art Fair is located on Main Street in the heart of Ann Arbor as well as Liberty, State and South University Streets, stretching from the charming downtown area to the beautiful campus of the University of Michigan, touching each end of the event. It is run by The Guild of Artists & Artisans, a 501(c)3 non-profit, membership association of independent artists founded in 1973 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Its mission is to develop and present fine art fairs throughout the region to provide marketing opportunities for artists which also serve as educational, cultural and entertaining events for the community. The Guild draws upon its talented, exclusive and diverse membership to exhibit and sell their work at these events. Each artist is juried through The Guild’s rigorous standards process, which ensures exceptional creativity and technical skill

Long Meadow Art Residency (LMAR) offers solo residencies ranging from six weeks to three months in the Berkshire Mountains. LMAR provides ample studio space and on-site housing, enabling artists to immerse themselves in their practice. The residency awards a $3,000 monthly stipend, a $2,500 supply budget, professional photography of artwork and artist, access to an engaged board, a supportive cohort, and a vehicle. The residency is eligible to artists who are 25 and up, able to work in the United States, and have a valid Driver’s License.
Residents can tap into a broader creative community through the Berkshires art scene, connections with past residents, studio visits, and potential mentorship from board members — artists themselves, gallerists, art historians, and collectors.

Anderson Ranch’s Artists-in-Residence Program fosters creative, intellectual and professional growth for emerging and established visual artists. Residents have access to world-class facilities and studio time, free from everyday pressures. Residents can pursue interdisciplinary projects among a community of working artists, and gain feedback from prominent Visiting Artists and Critics. The Ranch setting is specifically crafted to aid artists in the production of their work. The residency is designed to allow artists to take risks and pursue new projects and ideas. Residents will be provided housing, studio space and meals. Residencies are offered in ceramics, new media, photography, furniture design, woodworking, painting, drawing, printmaking and sculpture.

On the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Americana Reimagined invites artists from across the greater Bay Area to explore, reinterpret, and reimagine the visual language of “Americana”. This juried exhibition looks beyond nostalgia to examine how familiar symbols, stories, and styles evolve over time—bridging the past and present through creativity and craft. “Americana” has long served as a reflection of everyday life and culture, from small-town iconography and handmade crafts to design movements and popular imagery. In Americana Reimagined artists are invited to reexamine this broad theme, juxtaposing the old and the new, and honoring timeless motifs while offering fresh perspectives on what they mean today.

The Emerging Perspectives Exhibition is an annual juried exhibition open for submissions from artists ages 18–35 in any medium, and is geared toward artists beginning the pursuit of their creative discipline, whether enrolled in art-centered education programs or engaged in their own artistic practice, while taking strides in setting their career paths.

GATE44 invites artists and creatives to apply for a two-week, production-focused printmaking residency in Milan. The program supports the development of contemporary printmaking with a focus on experimentation, mixed-media processes, and cross-disciplinary approaches. The selected artist will receive technical assistance from professional printmakers, a €1,000 materials budget, a private apartment located nearby the studio, and 24/7 access to a fully equipped printmaking facility. Available techniques include intaglio, relief printing, photo-etching, photo-lithography, screen-printing, letterpress, and inkjet fine-art printing. The residency welcomes artists and creatives whose practice already includes printmaking or who have a minimum base knowledge and understanding of one or more print techniques and who wish to expand their technical and creative possibilities, particularly those interested in experimentation and combining multiple methods. The award does not include production expenses beyond the allocated budget, external production services, travel, or food.

GATE44 invites artists and creatives to apply for a two-week, production-based printmaking residency in Milan. The program supports the development of a body of work with a focus on experimentation, mixed-media processes, and cross-disciplinary approaches, fostering dialogue between contemporary printmaking and contemporary art. The residency takes place at their Milan studio between April 2026 and April 2027 (specific dates to be determined in collaboration with the selected participant). During the residency, the artist will receive technical assistance from their printmakers, who will provide guidance and hands-on support for the production of one or more editions. The resident will have access to a private on-site apartment located next to the print studio. Studio access is available 24/7, and basic printshop materials and tools.

The Marblehead Arts Association (MAA) is inviting artists, both MAA members, and non-members, from across the country to participate in the MAA’s National Exhibit entitled Variations 2026. Variations 2026 is an 8-week, juried exhibit of 2D and 3D artwork. All mediums are welcome (see specifics for submissions under "Exhibit Details" further down). Artwork will be juried for acceptance and judged for prizes in Fine Art, Photography, and 3D works. Awards will be presented at the Opening Reception on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

NKollectiv proudly presents the fourth annual Apis Opus, a juried exhibition honoring the artistry and versatility of beeswax-based media. Named for Apis—the genus of bees—and Opus—a work of art, this national showcase invites U.S. artists working in encaustic, cold-wax, or other beeswax-infused techniques to submit their creations. Originally focused on Colorado-based encaustic works, Apis Opus has evolved into a vibrant platform for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional wax media. The 2026 edition promises a dynamic blend of tradition and innovation, celebrating the luminous textures and expressive depth that beeswax brings to contemporary art.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces the 16th Annual “Figurative” Online Art Competition.

The “Figurative” theme is the artist’s interpretation and depiction of the human form and human features. Both 2D & 3D artists (including photography & digital arts) are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art.

For almost four decades, WOW has invited designers and creators to challenge the conventional and create the unimaginable through wearable art. WOW finalists come from all corners of the globe and a broad spectrum of creative and technical disciplines – from fashion and costume designers, to jewellers, architects, and engineers. The international design community have until 26 February and New Zealand designers have until 15 April to complete their garments and online submission, following which the selection and judging process takes place.

Located in Kyoto, Villa Kujoyama is a multidisciplinary research residency that hosts artists, craftspeople, and researchers for stays of four to six months. During their residency, participants benefit from time and space entirely dedicated to their practice and research, without any production requirements. They are encouraged to build relationships with artistic, cultural, academic, and economic circles throughout Japan. To support their research and identify relevant contacts for their projects, they receive artistic guidance from a dedicated on-site team. The application submission platform will open on February 3, 2026 and will close once 250 applications have been received

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s renowned Arts/Industry program is accepting applications from January 1 to February 28, 2026, for 12 residency openings in 2027. For over 50 years, this prestigious program has hosted hundreds of artists from 25 countries. Arts/Industry provides the unique opportunity to explore new ideas, processes, and perspectives while creating work using the resources, technology, and materials of the Kohler Co. factory in Kohler, Wisconsin. Arts/Industry artists are given the time and space to pursue their creative process in studios located in Kohler Co.’s industrial foundry and pottery. Artists-in-residence receive 24-hour access to studio space, industrial materials, use of equipment, technical assistance, photographic services, housing, round-trip transportation, and a modest weekly stipend. Experience working in metal or clay is not required. Arts/Industry welcomes artists from all disciplines who are curious about how industrial processes and environments can shape their work. Artists-in-residence have access to cutting-edge facilities and technologies that can expand the boundaries of their practice.
