With a focus on early career BIPOC artists, this program offers studio and creation space, technical resources, training, and mentorship to a small cohort for the exploration, development, and expansion of their practice and a new artwork. The lab culminates in a series of in-process studio showings that invites our community into a conversation about process and innovation. Artists are required to be local in New York City and prepared for all in-person activities.

De Ateliers is an artists’ institute open to talented artists at the beginning of their professional career. It offers a two-year studio and tutoring program that is best tailored to the needs of artists who wish to strengthen their artistic foundation, develop their ideas and deepen their practice in a focused, critical environment among peers from all around the globe.

Each De Ateliers participant receives a yearly stipend. The stipend is financed by the Ateliers Support Fund and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

The Artadia Awards provide financial support, exposure and recognition to artists. The awards are unrestricted, allowing artists to use the funds in any way they choose.

Each year, an open-call application is made available in each of the seven active partner cities. Supporting artists equitably is a critical part of the Artadia Award process: we consider the unique populations of each community and are proud to reflect our country’s diversity with an Awardee pool that is over 50 percent female and over 40 percent persons of color.

In addition to financial support, Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network to receive structured opportunities for valuable new connections and resource sharing as well as receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia’s online Artist Registry. Connections fostered by Artadia have facilitated major steps in Awardees’ careers, such as inclusion in prominent exhibitions (e.g. five Awardees were featured in the 2017 Whitney Biennial, and six in 2019).

Gallery 130, located at the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi will host a juried exhibition in Spring 2024. Following the submission deadline, Gallery 130 will select juror(s) to curate work centered around an exhibition theme of their choice.

Artists and artisans are invited to apply for the 2024 Palm Beach Fine Craft Show, held February 16-18 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Three artists will be awarded in the following categories: Best in Show, Best New Artist & Artist Choice. Eligible media: Basketry, ceramics, decorative fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood.

The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) and Arts at the Airport (AaA) invite artists/teams living in Tennessee to submit proposals for the design of a terrazzo floor circular piece to be at the end of the new Concourse D Extension at Nashville International Airport (BNA®). The Circular Node wraps around a future concessions space located at the end of Concourse D. The artists/teams will create the floor designs which will be produced and installed by a terrazzo floor company to be selected by MNAA. The art zone is a circular, ring shape and measures 4778 SF. The design fee budget is $75,000. The artists/teams will be required to work with the terrazzo company during fabrication and installation to ensure design integrity.

The Virginia A. Groot Foundation established the Virginia A. Groot Foundation Grant in 1988 so that a ceramic sculpture or sculpture artist may have the opportunity to devote a substantial period of time to the development of their work. Each year, the Virginia A. Groot Foundation offers three grants (up to $60,000, $30,000, $20,000) to artists who have exceptional talent and demonstrated ability in ceramic sculpture or sculpture. Artists may be at any stage of career development, from emerging through mature.

Northglenn Arts is conducting an open entry competition to select six sculptures ─ valued at no more than $35,000 each ─ to be part of Northglenn’s “Art on Parade” on-loan sculpture program. The selected pieces will be installed for a period of one year at E.B. Rains Jr. Memorial Park surrounding Webster Lake in Northglenn, Colorado.

Each of the six finalists will receive a $1,000 honorarium to help offset their expenses. In addition, $1,000 will be awarded to the artist who is the recipient of the annual “People’s Choice Award.” Artists will receive substantial recognition and opportunity to sell; therefore, all pieces must be for sale. The placement of selected pieces will begin in May, 2024 and will be on display until May, 2025.

Sedona Arts Center turns 65 this year. In honor of this milestone occasion, we are centering the themes of our exhibits and events around our history. Every exhibit this year connects to our history in some way.

Ceramics and ceramics education has been a cornerstone of the Sedona Arts Center since it was founded, 65 years ago. The Arts Center has educated and developed so many ceramicists over the years that we couldn’t let this year pass without celebrating ceramics contribution to the arts in Arizona as well as noteworthy Arizona artists who are mastering the medium and educating the next generation of ceramicists today. This juried exhibition will feature notable ceramicists from throughout Arizona, and is open only to Arizona artists.

On behalf of Sedona Arts Center, we would like to invite you to participate in this historical exhibit: Celebrating 65 Years in Ceramics. The exhibit will be held in the Special Exhibitions Gallery at Sedona Arts Center from April 3-26, 2024.

Covet Art Gallery, an exciting new gallery located in South Oceanside, California, is looking for artists to showcase their work in a group exhibition in February 2024. The selected artists will secure a prominent spot on the gallery's walls for this exhibition. With an open format, the choice is yours—select and submit the art you like best for consideration in this Juried Group Show. We are open to all possibilities!

Grand prize winners in each category will receive $2,500 and see their work featured on the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's 2024 Quail and Turkey Stamps. First and second runners-up will each receive $500 and $250, respectively. Additional pieces will be exhibited March 16 - April 27, 2024 at the Historic Cane Hill Gallery in Cane Hill, Arkansas. The stamp proceeds will be used for habitat restoration projects on public land. Artwork must be done on paper, canvas, or panel, and the design must measure exactly 18 inches wide by 13 inches tall. Consider the amount of detail to include in the artwork based on the finished stamp size of 1.75" x 1.5".

Maui Public Art Corps and County of Maui invite artists to submit an application for the opportunity to implement a public art project for its 2024 season. We are currently seeking artist proposals that interpret stories from our Hui Mo‘olelo program as works of visual, performance or experiential public art. Center for the Arts Evergreen invites artists to submit sculptures to our 25th annual rotating Sculpture Walk of public art in Evergreen, Colorado, located in the foothills west of Denver. This is a juried exhibition of up to 16 large sculptures. Sculptures must be suitable for OUTDOOR INSTALLATION and must stand a minimum of 4 feet tall. Sculptures should be designed and fabricated to withstand wind gusts of up to 75 mph, which are common in Evergreen. Due to the nature of our sites, many require larger sculptures, and pieces standing between 4-12 feet in height have the best chance of being chosen. Sculptures will be on display for 1 year. The sculptures will be listed as available for purchase in our published brochure and on our website.

Artlink's 44th National Print Exhibition is juried by Sachi Yanari-Rizzo and open to artists working in any printmaking media within the United States!

This juried exhibition will feature contemporary printmakers working in all printmaking mediums, including intaglio, lithographs, relief, screenprints, monoprints, letterpress, artist books, and print installations. Nature Homage is an open medium exhibition of original and unique 2D and 3D artworks that feature animals and insects! Work must either include an animal or insect to be consider. For over 60 years, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts has highlighted the remarkable talent, creativity, and perspective of Arkansas students through the Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition (YAA). This legacy program showcases artwork from kindergarten through high school in a wide range of media and technique. The 63rd Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition will continue the legacy of supporting and recognizing the power of art education and dedication of art educators across the state.
Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts' 63rd annual Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition highlights the remarkable talent, creativity and perspective of Arkansas students in Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Works on Paper - Make your Mark
With paper as support, the artist leaves a mark. From that simple premise the world opens up. How the artist perceives printmaking today is explored in this juried exhibition celebrating the Month of Printmaking. From tried-and-true traditional techniques to a widening array of new technologies, printmakers are encouraged to trust their insights using approaches and skills that enable their imagery to emerge on the surface. All print techniques and types of paper and paper like substrates, ranging from traditional to experimental and digital are allowed (except giclee reproductions).
Juror: Mami Yamamoto, born and raised in Japan has been living in the US since 1985. Her direction in printmaking started in 2014 and she has been producing monotypes and monoprints ever since. She has exhibited throughout Colorado including at Space Gallery, the Arvada Center, RedLine Contemporary Art Center and the Cherry Creek Art Festival.

Salem Art Works call for Young & Studio Artists is open now until Monday, February 5th at 11:59 EST.

The programs offer emerging artists a 30-hour work-trade during two sessions, June-July and August-September. The Young Artist program invites artists working in any media to participate in a general work-trade helping with the day-to-day operations. The Studio Artist program invites artists working in glass, blacksmithing, foundry, and welding to assist a shop director in a specific studio. All artists will be responsible for preparing meals and helping to clean up after themselves. Artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work at the end of the residency and are asked to donate one item to SAW's end-of-year auction. SAW will provide a paid opportunity to offer workshops during or post-residency for artists with prior experience to help offset the cost of the residency.

The City of Denver’s Public Art Program seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create original public artwork(s) for the Swansea Recreation Center located at 2650 East 49th Avenue, Denver, CO 80216. A 13-member selection panel of community representatives, arts and design professionals, and civic leaders has been assembled to identify art opportunities and to select and recommend an artist or artist team for this project. The selection panel has identified a location for potential artwork for the allocated total budget of approximately $200,000.00 USD.

The Town of Carbondale, CO Public Art Commission is seeking 15 outdoor street sculptures for the annual rotating "Art Around Town" show. A change in the program this year will allow one artist to potentially secure the opportunity to display up to four original sculptures with a $1,000 honorarium per sculpture awarded. A $250 travel allowance for out-of-town artists will also be awarded.
This highly recognized and esteemed show is located in downtown Carbondale on Main St. and the Rio Grande Trail. Carbondale is located 30 miles from Aspen and draws in a diverse local and international community for art appreciation, as well as being included in a Creative Arts District. The Public Art Commission assists in the marketing and sales of the sculptures to enhance the possibility of an artist commission. An Artist Reception and Community Art Walk takes place on June 6, 2024, and offers every artist an opportunity to market and speak about their sculpture.

Glass and metal - two hard substances that require skill, precision, and heat to be transformed. Whether formed into a functional piece, a non-functional work of art, or a combination of the two these materials need to be brought to a molten state for the artist or craftsperson to realize their vision.
Entries for Molten must be works made of handmade glass or metal where heat is used in the creation of the piece. At least 80% of the materials used in the piece(s) included in the submission must be glass and/or metal.
Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the Molten exhibit at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, Illinois.
The Fine Line Creative Arts Center is located in the Fox River Valley, approximately one hour west of Chicago, Illinois. The show will run from March 21 – May 2, 2024, and is open to artists 18 and older who reside in the United States.

Blue Space Gallery - "Into the Dark", an international competition and virtual exhibition. One artist will be awarded a one-year membership in The Ebell of Los Angeles.

Pottery night out classes are a totally unique date night experience in Mendocino! Bring your partner, your bestie, your BAE, or whomever to create pottery and memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you are a beginner at the wheel or just brushing up on techniques, these fun and laid back classes are designed to meet you at your level. Students are welcome to bring their own beverages (adult or otherwise) to enjoy during our Pottery Night Out Classes. Ages 18+

Participants will receive pottery wheel demonstrations and plenty of one-on-one instruction to learn the basics of wheel throwing. Each person can select their favorite creation to have fired in a glaze color of their choice. Glazed pieces will be ready for pickup in 3-4 weeks. If you are out of the area, we will pack and ship the finished pieces to you. (Shipping cost is not included.)

Please arrive on time as class starts promptly at 6:30 PM . Students are welcome to bring their own beverages (adult or otherwise) to enjoy during our Pottery Night Out Classes. Aprons, towels and all other materials will be provided, so just dress comfortably and get ready to have some fun on the pottery wheel.

The 37th Annual McNeese National Works on Paper Exhibition will be juried by Graham C. Boettcher, R. Hugh Daniel Director and CEO of the Birmingham Museum of Art.
$3,000 is available for purchase awards. The awards will become part of the McNeese’s Works on Paper Permanent Collection.
Eligible for entry are works in any medium that is on or of paper. The artwork, including frame, should not exceed 40 inches in any dimension.

El Paseo is the premier shopping district in Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley, located in southern California. Watershed’s annual Salad Days fundraiser draws hundreds of art appreciators to campus for a summer celebration of handmade ceramic work and local food. For each year’s event, a Salad Days Artist-in-Residence produces hundreds of plates or shallow bowls from terracotta clay. During the celebration, guests choose a plate to take home and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch. The Salad Days Artist’s plates serve as the primary feature of the day and many event attendees return year after year to collect each new design.

Established in 2021, Long Meadow Art Residency (LMAR) is a passion project of founders David Feldman and Jennifer Herman-Feldman. First and foremost, they are true lovers of art and artists. Their continued support of artists through all phases of their creative journey is unique, championing great artists who, for whatever reason, were underrecognized and providing support to artists eager to make the time to hone their craft and the galleries that support them.

As LMAR enters their third season of a fully supported artist residency, Jennifer and David are restating their mission to provide a home and studio space, supplies and an interactive board for artists to stop, breathe and contemplate. Purposefully, this is a zero-expectation experience for the artists during their residency. The goal is for artists to have uninterrupted time to reassess, experiment, and explore their creativity, try new things while in the most beautiful, serene setting.

LMAR awards residencies’ three months in duration with a stipend of $3,000 per month, and an art supply/transport budget of up to $2,500, provides the use of a car, a house and art studio. Societal conventions pressure us to conform to like-mindedness, yet the most ethereal craft often originates from divergent work that transgresses tradition. True innovation and creative brilliance often occur when individuals question or break away from established norms. How does your work depict or challenge the concept of beauty?

Beauty in Decay is an international open call for photographers ages 18 and older. All forms of two-dimensional images, traditional and non-conventional media, and conventional or alternative processes with a subjective analog or digital photographic base are welcome for submission.

Kathmandu international artist-in-residence program (KIAR) is an initiative of Space A, a significant hub in the field of contemporary art both locally and internationally. The International Cultural Association Vernice Contemporanea presents in collaboration with the Salema Eco Camp “The Magnificent Four”, an international open sky contemporary art festival. The project on the theme of the four natural elements: Fire, Earth, Water and Air, elements that well characterize the south of the Portuguese coast.

The event will be hosted in a part of the Salema Eco Camp nature park, one of the best eco-sustainable campsites on the Vicentina coast. For the occasion the affected area will be set up following the model of the best art fairs.

In addition to the exhibition offer, local schools will be involved who will be able to get to know the artists and their works through guided tours, workshops and round tables will be organized with scientists and intellectuals who are experts in the proposed theme. There will be no shortage of convivial moments where the best chefs and bartenders in the area will present exclusive recipes interpreting Fire, Earth, Water and Air.

The international selections therefore open for artists already accredited by official critics and emerging talents who will have the task of realizing the proposed theme through contemporary art. This project aims to focus on how the harmonious interaction between the four elements has al always been the basis of life and survival on Earth and how this has inspired artists, scientists and thinkers in their field to face and portray the beautiful and dark sides of Fire, Earth, Water and Air.

The Magnificent Four will not only be an important collective exhibition but will also be a prize that will be awarded to 3 artists who have distinguished themselves for the quality and originality of the work presented. The Painting Center, an artist-run non-profit gallery in the heart of Chelsea, announces a call for submissions for two solo exhibition opportunities in the Project Room space of the gallery. The two solo exhibitions will take place in 2025, and each separate exhibition will have a run time of four weeks. For the fifth iteration of "Contemporary Indigeneity," the Great Plains Art Museum seeks Native American artists addressing any issues and themes relevant to the contemporary Indigenous experience on the Great Plains. The Martin House Creative Residency Program is a newly established project-based residency that provides creative individuals a designated time and space to develop new works of the imagination inspired by one of the great examples of 20th-century architecture.

Anderson Ranch’s Artists-in-Residence Program fosters creative, intellectual, and professional growth for emerging and established visual artists. Totality

Prospectus:
Totality refers to the sum or whole of an overall amount. Totality can also refer to a quality or state of being total, whole, or complete. The terms "totality" and "totalization" have been used in literary and cultural philosophy to refer to the possibility and practice of total, unified closure. It refers to the processes that enable seemingly unrelated events to convey themselves as part of a larger, more complex whole. Totality also describes a phase of an eclipse.

A total solar eclipse occurs every 18 months or so somewhere on the planet. The eclipse's total phase is visible from a narrow region of totality, where the Moon totally covers the Sun. This path is roughly 9000 miles long but only about 90 miles broad. April 8, 2024, New Harmony, Indiana, will be in the path of totality. To commemorate this astronomical event, we are seeking artwork related to and or inspired by the idea of an eclipse.

About the Juror
Dr. Kent W. Scheller, Professor of Physics in the Pott College of Science, Engineering, and Education has been teaching physics at USI for the past 25 years. In 1988, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Evansville graduating summa cum laude. He then continued his education at the University of Notre Dame, obtaining his master’s degree in physics in 1991, and a doctorate in nuclear astrophysics in 1994.

He was recognized in 2007 with the H. Lee Cooper Core Teaching Award for the creativity and success of his teaching. In 2011, Scheller was selected by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels to serve a two-year term as the faculty representative on the 14-member Indiana Commission for Higher Education. In 2014, faculty colleagues selected Dr. Scheller for the University of Southern Indiana Distinguished Professor Award for his achievements in scholarship, teaching, and University and community service. Subsequently, Dr Scheller has been awarded the Pott College Service Award, the Dr. Jan Davis-Brezette Faculty Excellence Award, and the Alumni Association Faculty Recognition Award. He has published journal articles and presented papers on a multitude of topics including nuclear energy, radiation, and nuclear astrophysics, as well as education-related topics for instructional development. His current research is focused on the presence and nature of environmental radon in South­western Indiana.

Dr. Scheller and his wife, Amy, live in Haubstadt, Indiana, with their children, Nicholas, Abby, and Jacob. He was an avid runner, participating in multiple marathons and half marathons, as well as serving as the founding director of the Laufenfest 5K Run, Walk and Lil’ Dutch Run. Scheller is active in his local community. SALES

Accruing new meaning as they move from one place and context to another, material objects enable imaginative encounters between the indigenous and foreign, the familiar and unfamiliar. As curious containers of knowledge, culture, and purpose, these objects can spark a variety of reactions, from rejection to assimilation to appropriation and creative transformation.

This roundtable includes four ten-minute presentations on examples that embody conceptions of space and spatial movement within maritime Asia: Dutch and Portuguese maps of Indonesian islands, trade ceramics and spices, mirrors painted in Canton for domestic and western markets, and images illustrating the cosmopolitan Qing empire of the Manchus. Held in conjunction with the ongoing exhibition Chronicles of a Global East at the Seattle Art Museum, we invite you to join historians and archaeologists for a conversation that will deepen your understanding of the interconnected ancient global world.

The discussion will take place from 1:30–3 pm with a reception to follow from 3–4 pm. Attendees will have access to the galleries starting at noon.

OVERVIEW
The Town of Castle Rock Public Art Commission seeks proposals of artworks to welcome residents and visitors to the northern entrance of Downtown Castle Rock at the northeastern intersection of Interstate 25 and Wilcox Street.

Artists are invited to submit proposals for this exciting opportunity to celebrate and represent the Castle Rock community through a large-scale work of art. The ideal piece could tell the local story or history, strengthen community pride, evoke feelings of inspiration or joy, encourage fun and play or outdoor recreation, cultivate community dialogue, foster reflection, promote unity and connectedness or instill a sense of home and place.

The site is highly visible. It serves as the primary entrance to Downtown, can be seen from Colorado’s central north/south interstate and will be viewed by travelers when entering and leaving Castle Rock.

BACKGROUND
In thriving communities all over the world, the arts play an integral role in expressing community identity and conveying local culture and history. Public art inspires awe, enhances and beautifies shared public space, unites and promotes togetherness, honors local heritage, and pays tribute to history and public service.

Incorporated in 1881, the Town of Castle Rock is a vibrant and spirited community with a rich history and heritage. The Public Art Commission functions as the catalyst for local public art experiences and works to enhance community vibrancy and small-town character.

Castle Rock is known for its family-friendly charm, and our theme is “a world-class community with small-town character.” Castle Rock is distinguished by its vibrant and historic downtown, distinct identity as the Douglas County seat, and diverse and easily accessible recreation.

Located in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, Castle Rock’s ridges, valleys, open space and spectacular views lend to a stunning natural setting. Creeks and gulches meander through the many drainage basins, and Ponderosa Pine and scrub oak dot the landscape. Panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains extend from Pikes Peak to the south to Longs Peak to the north.

At its founding, the namesake rock provided the landmark location for the Town. Ranching, the railroad, clay mines and rhyolite quarries formed the basis for Castle Rock’s early economy. The Town’s physical setting with its ridges creates a natural shape, and many residents strongly value the recreational activities these ridges now provide, such as hiking and mountain biking.

There is also growing excitement within the Castle Rock community to add additional artistic places of interest in Downtown. A recent public art questionnaire showed that 90% of respondents felt art added value to their community and this welcoming piece will be highly visible to locals and visitors alike as they drive in to enjoy special events, restaurants and shopping in Downtown.

SITE LOCATION AND ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS
The site is located at the northeastern portion of the intersection of Wilcox Street and W. Wolfensberger Road, adjacent to the entrance ramp to Interstate 25. The site used to serve as a gas station but was purchased and remediated by the Town. It is now a vacant lot with a gravel surface adjacent to a retaining wall owned by the railroad, a local business, Wilcox Street and the Interstate 25 northern on-ramp. As travelers exit the interstate and head east towards Downtown Castle Rock, the site is visible from the road.

The dimensions available for art installation are 40 feet wide by 140 feet long, but proposals do not necessarily need to fill the entire space or site. Ideal works of art would welcome visitors and provide passerby in vehicles readily available and safe viewing access. The ideal work of art would also not block the view of the Castle Rock above from the vantage point of the road and be able to withstand car pollution while maintaining graffiti/vandalism-proof qualities.

The site can be modified to provide anchors or a concrete pad(s), as well as electrical at the expense of the project budget. The retaining wall adjacent to the site is owned by the railroad property and may not be modified. Please reference the included site images.

PROJECT CONSIDERATIONS

The proposed artwork must be an original work.

The proposed artwork should be distinctive in design, color and subject matter and appropriate for public viewing of all ages. The piece will ideally be colorful to contrast the existing tan/concrete surrounding installation site.

Enjoyed day or night. Proposals and proposal budgets should include lighting elements.

The proposed artwork should be scaled for maximum viewability and be easily experienced from vehicle passerby in cars traveling both south and north along Wilcox Street.
The scale of the artwork should also relate well to surrounding architectural elements and be attractive from a distance, as well as up close.
The artwork may at some point be required to be relocated to a new location due to future regional transportation needs; ideal works would be sturdy and have the potential for relocation.
The artwork acquired for this site must be durable, low-maintenance, pose no hazard to the public (especially drivers), require minimal conservation (optimally maintenance-free for up to 15 years), meet safety standards and adhere to building codes and other state regulations.
Given the expected attention that this project will attract, the artist agrees to participate in any press/media-related opportunities as they arise, including, but not limited to, print, radio/televised interviews, and discussions/presentations, as deemed appropriate by the Public Art Commission.
Additional Considerations: the artist/artist team will not be responsible for the general maintenance of the sculpture, but agrees to be available after the completion of services for consultation if the need arises.

Potential adverse site conditions include: wind, sun, snow, extreme heat, freezing temperatures, potential for vandalism and graffiti, car pollution, etc. The selected artist will be required to provide a statement of recommended maintenance.

BUDGET
The budget for this commission, including all elements and the artwork’s foundation and lighting, is $200,000. Once a finalist is selected, 10% of the project budget will be paid to the artist for their design. The project will commence the following year (or as soon as possible) once funds are secured and the project and its budget is approved by Town Council. The remainder of the project payments will be completed in phases determined in agreement by the artist and the Town.

An itemized breakout of costs is required. Artists submitting proposals should include ALL expenses for the proposed art piece/s, including design fees, supplies and materials, the cost of transportation, per diem expenses, project documentation, insurance, sub-ground-level anchoring (footing), foundational requirements, excavation, engineering review and approval fees, labor and equipment, all costs of installation, any above-ground base, electrical connections for lighting and plaques/signage to identify the artworks.
Please note that the project budget must include travel expenses for site visits.
No design fees will be paid for preliminary sketches or designs submitted with the proposal.

ELIGIBILITY
The request for proposal is open to all artists/artist teams with legal status to work in the United States without preference to racial/ethnic origins, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disability.

Any group or individual awarded the project will be required to have general liability insurance throughout the project and must submit a current certification of insurance at the time of signing a project contract to ensure that coverage limits are appropriate to the scope of the work being completed.

OWNERSHIP
The artist/artist team will retain the ownership of design ideas submitted for consideration until a selection has been made and a contract signed between the artist/artist team and the Town of Castle Rock. At that time, 100% of the ownership of the artwork produced, in whatever stage of completion, shall become the property of the Town of Castle Rock as a work made for hire as defined by the copyright laws of the United States.

The Town of Castle Rock shall be the exclusive owners and copyright proprietors of all rights and title in and to the results and proceeds of the artist’s/artist team’s services hereunder. In addition, the artist/artist team will represent being the author of the work and that all services are original by the artist/artist team and not copied in whole or in part from any other work. The artist should also agree to not install within a 50-mile radius of the site any additional exact duplicate or reproductions of the final artwork.

SELECTION PROCESS/CRITERIA
A selection committee will be assembled by the Public Art Commission for this project. Members of the committee may include Castle Rock residents, local business owners and project stakeholders. The selection committee will review all completed proposals. The following criteria will be used in the selection process, in order of importance:

- Design within the context of the site
- Originality, creativity and uniqueness of the proposed artwork
- Submittal of all requirements as outlined in this call for art, as well as a statement of interest, resume, budget, sketch/design
- Artists credentials and qualifications as exhibited by past work
- The committee will choose up to three semi-finalists who will be asked to continue in the process by presenting to the selection committee. Each semi-finalist will receive a stipend of $500 for concept proposals, which may include models, maquettes, fully executed illustrations, digital simulations, etc.

b. Charles W. & Norma C. Carroll Gallery: The Carroll Gallery is located on the first floor of the Visual Arts Center and is the largest gallery at 2,000 sq ft and 13’ ceilings. The Carroll has the most control in lighting and is perfect for installation or multimedia artists, though all media and practices are welcome.

Artistic practitioners and cultural producers working in all creative fields, anywhere in the world, are encouraged to apply to Forecast’s international mentorship program with projects that could benefit from the expertise of one of this edition’s mentors and their unique approach to material and knowledge production.

The mentors in Forecast Mentorships’ 2024–25 edition push against the constraints of the practices with which they engage. They renegotiate the common definitions of their respective fields and experiment in ways that defy simple readings of their work.

A co-presentation of University of Hawaii - Hilo Art and English Department faculty, that will bring together contemporary visualizations of the complex history of transpacific migration, multiple homelands, colonization, resistance, hybrid culture, and ethnic identity.
The exhibition, in addressing the larger, global context of this diaspora, will highlight the hardship and resilience of vibrant, dynamic, and global Korean communities, coupled with entrepreneurial success in a variety of endeavors, professions, and independence activism.
This international juried Call-For Entry is seeking:
artworks that visualize the essence of the Korean Diaspora, and
audio files that expressively capture the extraordinary migration stories of this culture.
The Call for Entry is open to artists of Korean heritage, age 18 years and older, and of any nationality.

The Forecast Forum is meant for discussing and further developing the submitted proposals, and to test the potentials of individual practices and possible mentor–mentee collaborations. The Radialsystem building will be available for workshops, discussions, installations, performances, or other kinds of presentations.

The concluding Forecast Festival showcases the results of all six productions to the public, and conveys the project development and the mentoring process as such. NXTHVN is a groundbreaking institution that combines the best of arts and entrepreneurship. Through access, education, programming and impact investing, NXTHVN launches the careers of artists and curators and strengthens the livelihood of its local community. Located in the historically African-American Dixwell neighborhood of New Haven, CT, the expansive adapted-reuse campus houses gallery, studio, office, performance and living spaces. Co-founded in 2018 by acclaimed visual artist Titus Kaphar and private equity investor Jason Price—both longtime residents of New Haven—NXTHVN represents a new national arts model for developing an equitable society.

Each year NXTHVN welcomes up to seven artists and two curators to participate in its paid 10-month intensive Fellowship Program. The application is open until February 27, 2023. Each fellow will receive studio or office space, a stipend, and subsidized housing. The PleinAir Salon Art Competition is a monthly online art competition that awards over $50,000 each year. There is $2,050 in Cash Prizes awarded each month, and $22,000 awarded at the Annual Competition each May. Each of the 23 monthly winners are included in the judging for the 13th Annual PleinAir Salon where we award the Grand Prize winner a check for $15,000 and feature their painting on the cover of PleinAir Magazine. The Annual Awards will be presented live at the Plein Air Convention & Expo in May 2024.

Because this competition is created by PleinAir magazine, which features not only plein air paintings, but also studio paintings, all types of paintings are eligible and do not need to have been completed in plein air. At The 33rd Annual Powderhorn Art Fair (PAF) Amazing artists like you will help us showcase a wide selection of fine arts and crafts and drive sales from art enthusiasts. The 33rd Annual Powderhorn Art Fair (PAF) is a Fine Arts and Fine Crafts Upper Midwest Regional Art Fair. In the 66-acre Powderhorn Park, 160 artists will circle the tree-lined Powderhorn Lake.

This Art Fair is a collaboration between the Powderhorn Neighborhood Association (PPNA) and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB). Proceeds from the Powderhorn Art Fair go towards programs that help strengthen the community. The Powderhorn Art Fair attracts artists from over twenty states and 200 cities, making it a local and regional favorite. The fair’s success comes from the long-standing collaboration between PPNA & MPRB.

About Jamaica Flux

Launched in 2004, Jamaica Flux was created to build equity and to expand cultural inclusion throughout Southeast Queens. For the sixth iteration and 20th anniversary of Jamaica Flux in 2024, JCAL will build on this legacy by once again uniting artists, local residents, curators, scholars, and community stakeholders to harness and catalyze the transformative power of the arts. Projects informed by a commitment to social change, and which drive inclusive public discourse, collective civic action, and deep community engagement, are especially welcome.

Previous Jamaica Flux iterations have consistently situated principles of social practice, exploring and incorporating such diverse contemporary issues as urban development, wellness, education, fair trade, and small business into traditional and interdisciplinary artforms. Over 140 artists and collectives have taken part over the years, from installing large-scale public installations and convening interactive projects and workshops to potato ecology, SAT tutoring, CGI/AR videos, walking audio tours, and papermaking on the street.

Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning (JCAL) seeks proposals from visual artists for Jamaica Flux: Workspaces & Windows 2024, a multidisciplinary project focused on site-specific public artworks temporarily installed in a tight, one-mile radius of Jamaica Avenue and Parsons Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. Projects that meaningfully explore the area’s diverse cultural geography and utilize dialogue and deep collaboration with local businesses, organizations, and/or public sites within the community, are particularly welcome.

Project Sites

Sites for earlier iterations of Jamaica Flux have included King Manor Museum and Rufus King Park; Jamaica Market; Jamaica Colosseum Mall; Central Branch of the Queens Public Library; Jamaica Station of the Long Island Rail Road, Jamaica YMCA; York College/City University of New York; First Presbyterian Church; many local restaurants and businesses; and a range of public spaces (bus shelters, billboards, phone booths, street corners, sidewalks).

JCAL’s two landmark buildings—Jamaica Arts Center (sidewalks, windows, balcony, galleries, classrooms) and Jamaica Performing Arts Center (lower level, fences, grass, lobby)—have also been utilized for Jamaica Flux projects. Previous Jamaica Flux sites are not necessarily locked in for 2024, but rather will be approached by the JCAL leadership during the project-selection process.

We strongly encourage artists to visit and to be thoughtful when identifying proposed sites for projects.

In a public call for proposals, we invite artists to submit contributions on the topic described above for a group exhibition in our exhibition rooms and outside. "Climate protection with repression. Wash my fur, but don't get me wet."

The works of art should refer to the general term "repression of man-made global warming" in the gallery and front garden, and outside to the repression of specific problems o the places in the park. The majority of society wants climate protection, but does not want to change. She becomes nervous, susceptible to campaigns by the fossil fuel lobby, to superstition and right-wing influences. People are in favor of doing something about man-made global warming, but they still want to fly on vacation. You deny your own fossil addiction. The other countries, the politicians, should take action against the climate crisis. You don't want to see your own responsibility as a voter of parties and a cause of CO2 emissions as a consumer of flights, cars and goods. Of course something should change, just not in your own life. Science calls the behavior cognitive dissonance.

We only accept letters and videos from non-EU countries, not parcels. For works sent, we ask that the senders include return postage. Unfortunately, there is no budget for production, further technical equipment, transport and insurance - the space is technically secured. We expect good cooperation and agree on rules of cooperation.

Hill-Stead Museum is thrilled to announce its first Annual Juried Members Exhibition, which is intended to connect artists with the Museum's natural beauty and collection masterworks. Calling all artists who are inspired by nature and light to submit their piece(s) to this juried show. Artists may work from the naturescape of their choice. They are warmly welcome to draw inspiration and/or work on site at Hill-Stead. Its 152 acres of grounds include gardens, meadows, trails, sweeping vistas and pastures filled with sheep and freshly-made haystacks.

Collage Artists of America (CAA) is accepting entries for “Interplay” a members only virtual on-line juried show launching April 1 – May 31, 2024.

Just like in life, the interaction or INTERPLAY of disparate elements in art can be unexpected and surprising. Whether the elements come together in a harmonious visual dialogue or create artistic dissonance with unusual juxtapositions, the new energies create a dynamic whole that is unique and greater than any individual elements alone. Your interpretation of INTERPLAY could be how you manipulate materials, use existing or new techniques or use specific design elements. Perhaps you compare or contrast similar or diverse historical and cultural sources. The options for variation can be endlessly fun to experiment with, either abstractly or with any degree of representation.

Juror Nancy Kay Turner is a visual artist, art critic and founder of the art collective Hana Kark. Bronx born, she fled New York for the sun and fun of California and has never looked back. A graduate of Queens College, The University of California at Berkeley and The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, she studied painting with Elmer Bischoff, Peter Saul and R.B. Kitaj. Turner has written critical reviews for ARTWEEK, ARTSCENE, Visions Magazine, Coagula Curatorial, Riot Material, Art and Cake and Cultural Weekly. Her mixed-media work has been in local, national, international and traveling exhibits.

There are cash awards totaling $1000.

CAA holds general meetings five times a year in which stimulating programs are presented by guest artists renowned for their work in collage and assemblage. Members-only and open juried exhibits are mounted annually at venues ranging from galleries and museums to online and alternative spaces. In addition to meetings and exhibits, CAA offers workshops, newsletters, studio visits and special events.

CAA is a non-profit public benefit corporation founded in 1988 by nine women artists. It celebrates the art of collage, both analog and digital, and has over 200 members worldwide. CAA's membership includes art instructors, professional artists who exhibit widely, mid-career and beginning artists, art students and those who have an interest in and love for the art of collage.

Figurative 2024 International Art Competition

The "Figurative” theme invites artists of all mediums to focus on representing the human form in their work. This theme encourages diverse approaches, from traditional portraiture to abstract interpretations or symbolic representations.

Artists are invited to explore the depth and diversity of human expression. Figurative provides a platform for artists to showcase their skills in portraying any 2D or 3D visual art that retains strong reference to the human figure.

The Arts and Culture Commission of the City of Glendale is requesting proposals from creative artists to temporarily display a unique installation in the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station (ASMPGS). The City's Community Services & Parks Department (CSP) owns the ASMPGS, a historic 1936 Streamline Modern Gas Station building listed on the Glendale Register of Historic Resources. Art is displayed on a rotational basis in the ASMPGS.​

This Call For Submissions is for art installations at the Adams Square Mini Park Gas Station.

• Artists whose work is chosen for installation at the ASMPGS will receive a stipend of $1,000 in addition to a production budget of up to $1,500 for a total maximum stipend of $2,500.

The Gas Station is located at the Adams Square Mini Park, 1020 East Palmer Avenue, Glendale CA 91205. The Gas Station is 12’x12’x12' cube, with acrylic windows. There are two doors, two electrical outlets and a timer. Items can be hung from the ceiling.
