The award includes $10,000 and the opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a separate solo or group exhibition in 2027.

The Chiaro Award is a fully sponsored artist residency and $15,000 prize for two mid-career painters residing in the United States. The Chiaro Award residency includes a private studio, and inclusion in a dynamic network of Headlands’ creative practitioners and thinkers.

20/20 Photo Festival announces an international call for entries for its upcoming group exhibition, Transforming Landscapes. Photographers working in analog processes are invited to submit work aligned with the theme for presentation in September 2026 at Cherry Street Pier, as part of the annual 20/20 Photo Festival.

The call for entries will be open from May 1 through June 1, 2026.

Juried by Philadelphia-based photographer Andrew Piccone, the exhibition encourages artists to reflect on the evolution of the American landscape over the past 250 years. This includes not only physical terrains, but also the technological, societal, political, scientific, and artistic environments that shape contemporary life.

The Lenscratch Student Prize supports the next generation of photographers by offering monetary awards and professional networking opportunities to artists creating innovative and compelling work. The competition provides cash prizes, mentorship opportunities with industry professionals, portfolio reviews, memberships to photography organizations, and features on Lenscratch. Selected winners receive year-long mentorship, review sessions with respected curators and gallery directors, and comprehensive support packages including books and gift certificates from photography suppliers.

In Cahoots Residency provides housing and studio space to emerging and professional artists with a focus on artists books, letterpress, printmaking, writing and collaboration. The organization offers both regular residencies and fellowship residencies that are partially or fully funded for artists with financial need. Artists receive housing and 24-hour access to shared visual art studios or individual writing studios.

The Dairy Arts Center’s Visual Arts Program invites artists to submit proposals for individual sculptural works to be installed on the Palmer Terrace, an outdoor site located at the front entrance of the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, Colorado. This open call seeks sculptures that engage audiences in a dynamic outdoor setting and contribute to the Dairy’s role as a vibrant cultural hub. Selected works will be presented as part of the Dairy’s rotating outdoor sculpture program during the 2026–2027 season.

The Henry Moore Institute, a world-recognized center for the study of sculpture, offers grants to enable artists and researchers to develop their work. Fellowships allow researchers to spend a month using institute facilities in Leeds and include accommodation, travel and subsistence expenses. The grants support growth and development of sculpture across historical, modern and contemporary registers. Available to sculpture historians, academics and conservators who are researching and publishing on sculpture conservation, production, history and/or interpretation, to support research costs, travel, photography and archival access. They cannot accept applications which are to inform or develop an artist’s own work, and/or professional practice.

The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 50 local, national, and international artists each year. Residencies of four to ten weeks include studio space, chef-prepared meals, housing, travel and living expenses. AIRs become part of a dynamic community of artists participating in Headlands’ other programs, allowing for exchange and collaborative relationships to develop within the artist community on campus. Artists selected for this program are at all career stages and work in all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, dance, music, interdisciplinary, social practice, arts professions, and architecture.

Chamberlain Award is a fully sponsored artist residency and $10,000 prize to support an artist working in the social practice discipline. This award supports artists employing non-traditional media to creatively engage with social concerns of the day.

Artspace111 announces its annual juried art competition for contemporary 2D and 3D works. Artists must be 18 years and older and residing in Texas. Over $20,000 will be awarded to artists in the exhibition, with the $10,000 First Place Edmund Craig Memorial Award including the opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a separate solo or group exhibition in 2027. As a new benefit for 2026, the Love Texas Art Foundation will award a $150 honorarium to every artist selected for the exhibition. All submitted works must be for sale with a 50/50 split between artist and gallery.

The Artadia Awards provide financial support to contemporary visual artists through unrestricted grants. Awardees can participate in the Artadia Network for structured opportunities for valuable connections and resource sharing, and receive a dedicated webpage on Artadia's online Artist Registry. The organization provides support across multiple cities with structured jury processes involving local and national curators.

BEERS London offers a 40-day artist residency program providing studio space and accommodation for visual artists. The organization supports emerging and established artists with dedicated time and space to develop their practice in an international context. Residents have access to professional facilities and the opportunity to engage with the local arts community in London.

Applications are now open for Arts & Education at the Hoyt’s Annual Call for Artists. The established regional arts center and museum is seeking solo and group proposals to fill out openings in the 2026-28 schedules.

Solo,duo,collectives and curatorial proposals are welcome. Due to the historic nature of the facilities, installations are discouraged. Artists living in the Mid-Atlantic Region, defined as PA, OH, NY, NJ, MD, VA, W.VA and Washington DC, will be given preference.

Tools for Radical Cooperation is a new collaborative publication that will feature the work of contributing artists, designers, writers, philosophers, and dreamers on different tools and modalities to overcome social division. This cooperative project invites everyone to create a dream future together.

The program provides participants from around the world with valuable time and space to reflect, unwind, and nurture the creative process.

Leith School of Art's Graduate Residency programme offers a unique opportunity to develop a substantial body of new work within an established Art School leading towards professional practice or further postgraduate study. Resolutely experimental and unwaveringly ambitious, the boorda yeyi Immersive Arts Commission offers a significant opportunity for artists working at the intersection of contemporary art and emergent technology. This annual commission supports work that is technically complex, conceptually rigorous and spatially adventurous. PICA is calling for proposals that embrace experimentation, question convention and offer fresh ways to connect with audiences.

The Judy Wheeler Commission is a ten‑year site‑specific commissioning program established in memory of Judy Wheeler and generously supported by the Simpson Family. Awarded annually, the commission supports Australia‑based artists to develop ambitious new work that responds physically or conceptually to the architecture, history and site of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA). Artists are invited to engage with the building’s transitional and public spaces, areas encountered by visitors as they move through and around PICA. Proposals should reflect PICA’s longstanding commitment to risk‑taking and experimentation and consider how contemporary art can activate spaces of passage, encounter and movement. Each commission is installed for up to one year as part of PICA’s public program.

The 50th annual meeting of the American Historical Print Collectors Society will take place in New Bedford, Massachusetts from June 9th through June 11th, 2026. The program will include a day trip to Nantucket Island and an optional session on June 8th at the Heritage Museum in Sandwich, where the AHPCS held its first annual meeting in 1975.

The Delaplaine seeks proposals for solo and group exhibitions on an ongoing basis. Exhibitions are showcased in five galleries on two floors and openings are held on most first Saturdays. Proposals for large group, small group, and solo shows are reviewed by an exhibition selection panel and are scheduled up to two years in advance.

The William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize stands as Australia's most prestigious photography competition, celebrating excellence in contemporary photographic practice.

The annual prize invites Australian artists to submit still photo-based media including analogue and digital photography created within the past year.

The competition accepts all film-based and digital work from amateurs and professionals with no thematic restrictions.
Selected works are acquired into the Museum of Australian Photography's nationally significant collection. The prize features multiple award categories including the main award, honourable mentions, a commissioning award, and public choice recognition.

The Emergency Relief Fund (ERF) provides short-term relief to individual artists facing housing, healthcare, income, transportation, legal, or property loss emergencies that impact their wellbeing or ability to work. This program offers one-time awards of $500. In general, payments for emergency assistance are considered gifts and are not taxable income. The Penland Resident Artist Program is designed for professional craft artists who are at a pivotal moment in their creative practice or career—the residency is an opportunity for them to pursue objectives that will have a lasting effect on their work and their lives. Depending on the applicant’s goals, two residency options are available:

1-year project-based residency: Artists submit a project proposal and use the term to expand technical and conceptual boundaries, pursue research and development in a specific topic or process, or explore a new direction in their work.

3-year career transition residency: Artists submit objectives aimed at advancing their studio practice, addressing the practicalities of sustaining a creative career, or navigating a significant transition in their professional path.

The residency program at Casa provides an opportunity for artists from across all disciplines to pursue their practice in a supportive, concentrated, community-based atmosphere. Open to artists with diverse experience levels, backgrounds and a variety of media including those in or recently graduated from undergraduate programs.

Hello, Print Friend Studios offers one-on-one artist residencies in Chiang Mai, Thailand, from February through June 2027. Set in the Santitham neighborhood, the program focuses on traditional lithography and printmaking, providing artists 35 hours per week alongside Master Printer Tim Pauszek, MFA. Whether learning the medium for the first time or producing a professional collector's edition, residents receive full technical support. The studio is equipped with lithography and etching presses and can produce stone and plate lithography, relief prints, drypoint etchings, and monotypes. Housing is included in a private studio apartment directly behind the print shop. An adjacent 85-square-meter exhibition space is available for resident-proposed events.

One of the first and most comprehensive arts in healthcare programs in the nation seeks submissions for solo and group art exhibits. The program integrates visual arts into healthcare environments to enhance healing spaces and provide cultural enrichment for patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Artlink is now accepting submissions for the juried exhibition Lucent: The Art of Light. This exhibition is open to light-focused works of all media and can be interpreted broadly—from work that depicts light, to work which emits light itself.

Small Works is a national juried show of artwork no more than 24” in its largest dimension (including frame). All media are eligible except jewelry, film/video. All entries are judged from digital files. One $30 nonrefundable fee entitles each artist to submit up to three entries. Purchase awards may be available for accepted work. The Boise Airport’s Public Art Program is seeking artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for a glass mosaic design. Each selected artist will be awarded a $20,000 dollar contract to create original artwork to be fabricated and installed in the Boise Airport. The exact size of the fabricated work has not been determined. Up to ten (10) finalists may be selected and compensated $500 to submit concept proposals and interview with the selection panel. Up to two (2) artists or artist teams may be selected to implement their design concept. Each selected artist will design work for a different location; artists do not apply for specific locations and will be assigned a location by the project team.

Art Fluent’s grant cycle is now open to individual artists through an international open call. The Evolution Grant will provide unrestricted funding to an individual artist with recognized artistic excellence in fine art media and a demonstrated commitment to their art. $1,000 to one visual artist each grant cycle. Unrestricted funds applied toward any expense to enhance the artist’s ability to create work.

EOIs are now open for the Joyce Spencer Textile Awards, which are awarded annually to support regional NSW textile artists or collectives in delivering new artworks or exhibitions. Named after the textile artist Joyce Spencer (1928 – 2019), the awards are made possible with funds from the Spencer family and Western Riverina Arts, in partnership with the Cad Factory.

Funding may be used for but not limited to artist fees, materials, equipment, space rental, travel for research, documentation, professional development opportunities, marketing and promotion, support to continue a current project, support to start a new project, and many other needs related to the artist's project. All applications are reviewed by one multidisciplinary panel consisting of five artists from across the state with expertise in a range of artistic disciplines.

The Emerging Artist Grants program offers grants of up to $15,000 to assist talented emerging and early-career artists in taking up professional development opportunities, usually overseas. Professional development opportunities allow emerging artists to gain experience, develop networks and learn skills from the world's best. They believe these experiences are invaluable for individual artists and the ongoing development of Australia's vibrant arts sector. The Trust's Emerging Artist Grants program funds nationally and supports individual artists practising across the spectrum of the arts, from visual arts to community radio, design to literature, conservation of cultural heritage to circus arts.

The R & M McGivern Prize was established by the will of the late Muriel Evelyn McGivern, a local resident and artist of Maroondah, as a legacy of Muriel’s support of the arts in Maroondah. The Prize is awarded every three years by the Trustee for outstanding, original artwork in the medium of painting in oil and watercolour (including gouache). The R & M McGivern Prize is an acquisitive award and the winning artworks will become the property of the Maroondah City Council Art Collection. The Prize aims to promote artistic excellence in painting and build a high-quality collection for the Maroondah region.

Woman Made Gallery (WMG) invites women and nonbinary artists to submit work for Feminism 250: Woman Made America. Anchored in America 250—the nationwide commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary—this exhibition reflects on the long arc of feminist history within a broader national moment of remembrance, reckoning, and re‑imagining. As one of the nation’s longest continually operating feminist art spaces, WMG enters this milestone with a history shaped by decades of cultural resistance, artist‑led advocacy, community care, and the ongoing fight to claim space for those long pushed to the margins.

The City of Winston-Salem’s Public Art Commission (PAC) is launching the CNI Resident Artist Project, a one-time artist residency funded through the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative (CNI) Public Art Revitalization Program. The CNI Resident Artist will collaborate with the Public Art Commission to work with East Winston-Salem residents to develop an artistic project that is community focused. The selected artist will have an all-inclusive budget of $300,000 with an expected time commitment of 12 months that includes the initial immersion period, a proposal period, and then time to implement the artistic project. This project will start in September 2026 and must be completed by September 2027.

CALL FOR EXHIBITS – The Gifts of Art Program is seeking submissions for individual and group art exhibits for the September 2026 to August 2027 exhibition year. One of the first and most comprehensive arts in healthcare programs in the nation, Gifts of Art brings the world of art and music to Michigan Medicine at the University of Michigan. Their nine 2-D and 3-D galleries throughout the medical center are viewed by thousands of people each day and display over 30 exhibits per year. Their rotating gallery program is intended to support the healing process by calming nerves, lifting spirits, engaging minds and reducing the stress and anxiety often associated with healthcare settings.

The ACS Studio Prize offers recent graduates £6,000 to contribute to the cost of securing an artist's studio in a UK city of their choice. Now in its tenth edition, the prize addresses economic challenges faced by artists starting their careers, particularly the difficulty of finding affordable studio space. Shortlisted finalists gain exposure through a group exhibition at Gurr Johns International in London. The 2026 jury includes art dealer Philip Mould OBE, artist David Dawson, National Gallery Director Sir Gabriele Finaldi, and ACS Chairman Viscountess Bridgeman CBE.
