For over 60 years La Romita School has been hosting workshops and retreats from its home, a 16th Century monastery nestled among olive groves in Umbria. The region is an extraordinary destination for artists, photographers, and poets, with inspiration to be found in local scenery, history, and culture. Time at La Romita gives artists time and space to focus on their art in a serene atmosphere, with opportunities to explore and adventure, without most of the logistical distractions that come with travel abroad. Ordinarily our workshops are led by instructors in a particular medium, but this retreat will instead cater to those artists who just want to get out and capture their experiences with paintbrush, pen, or lens.

The Town of Windsor invites sculptors to submit applications for the inaugural season of the SoL of Windsor, Sculpture on Loan Program, located on the west end of scenic Windsor Lake. The works selected for this public art exhibition will be on loan to the Town for a period of twelve (12) months and must be available for sale on commission during that time.

c.r.e.t.a. rome organizes artist residencies for periods of 4 weeks in the spring, summer and fall. The 2024/25 residencies include a shared equipped studio, some technical assistance, access to several electric kilns, advice on museums, galleries and sites in Rome and beyond. The residency fee does not include accommodation. A second residency site in the countryside of Rome is a particularly good option for collaborative projects and/or artists who want to bring their spouses/companions and/or young family (supplemental fee). Housing is included. Residents have a private studio and one-bedroom house. For ceramic artists, there is access to electric and gas kilns, with options for reduction firing. 

The Rothko Museum invites artists to apply to the “Mark Rothko 2025” International Painting Symposium – a vibrant creative forum organised in the museum’s residency framework. Held annually in September for over twenty years, the symposium commemorates Mark Rothko’s birthday in his native town and puts Daugavpils in the spotlight as an inspiring hub for contemporary artistic practices where creativity can truly thrive. This internationally popular symposium is an inclusive platform for discussion and an opportunity for seeing and discovering a place with links to Rothko’s childhood, learning about Rothko’s background and experiencing his originals in the museum’s Rothko Room. 10 professional artists will take part. The selection will be competition-based, with the jury assessing submitted materials.

Philip Frey and Schoodic Institute are pleased to offer a plein air painting retreat designed specifically for dedicated landscape painters. This retreat will provide an opportunity for participants to hone their skills, gain deeper knowledge of materials, and develop confidence in their creative abilities. Each day will start early with an on-site painting session, followed by an early afternoon demonstration and critique. Participants will have ample time to engage in painting, explore the surrounding area, or relax at their leisure. Meals and a daily cocktail hour will be provided in a communal setting, fostering social interaction among fellow artists.

Our River: Mississippi Muse is a juried exhibition sponsored by Friends of the Mississippi River in partnership with F-O-K Creatives. Artists whose work relates to the river are invited to submit. A portion of all artwork sales will be contributed to Friends of the Mississippi River.

Seward Park Clay Studio Resident Artist Program offers a variety of opportunities to clay artists to develop their skills and establish a community of support and professional connections. The program is designed to fit a variety of people’s needs with residencies from one to three years. These include one-year project residencies, 3-year community residencies, and 3-year work/study residencies. All resident artists share a communal space where work and tools can be stored. Residents have 24/7 access to the studio, the kilns, and the support of a seasoned clay-artist group.

This is for an upcoming call for artists to attend Farm Studio in January and February 2026. Farm Studio International Artist Residency is located in a rural community in India. Residents stay and create in a quiet art centre and beautiful environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. There, collaboration and experimentation is encouraged. Relationships form between the artists coming from different countries and varied social, cultural, and artistic backgrounds. Fusion Art announces the Figures & Faces 2025 Art Competition.
For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography depicting the human form - both figures & faces.

The Dover Prize is a biennial award that supports opportunity and experimentation in the visual arts. Open to UK-based visual artists, partnerships and small collectives, the Prize offers a £10,000 bursary paid across two years to provide space and time to think, research, reflect and/or experiment with new ideas. A final work must premiere in Darlington, with support available to help the successful applicant identify a suitable location or venue.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A LANDMARK SCULPTURE AT COVINGTON CENTRAL RIVERFRONT. The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center (Carnegie) and The Center for Great Neighborhoods (CGN) seek proposals for a new landmark public art installation to anchor Covington’s newest development, a 500-million-dollar mixed-use project in the heart of the downtown riverfront area. The Covington Central Riverfront (CCR) site, a 23 acre site that was once home to an IRS processing facility, is being transformed into a neighborhood with a restored street grid, office, residential, retail, and public spaces. Preference will be given to Artists living or working in Covington, surrounding areas, the Commonwealth of Kentucky, or with strong ties to the region.

Kinhouse seeks to support emerging and mid-career artists with their meaningful opportunity to facilitate their own art exhibition in Kinhouse's space! They welcome proposals for solo or small group exhibitions, collaborations, artist collectives or groups, performances, installations, and site-specific artwork. Exhibitions will be considered for their 2026 programming year and they will select between 2-6 proposals. Each selected exhibition proposal will be awarded a stipend of $250 for the artist(s) to use at their discretion. Curators are also welcome to submit proposals for the space! The Larch Creative Fund, in conjunction with the Spruill Center for the Arts, is seeking project proposals for innovative projects that encourage creative and critical thinking through the arts, with a focus on having fun and encouraging community participation and related activities. Grant funding will be awarded commensurate with the project scope and impact, in amounts determined at the discretion of the jury committee.

Preference will be given to projects that:
Engage or involve the broader public and encourage social engagement
Are free and accessible to a diverse audience
Are new projects to the artist/organization submitting the proposal

The Working Artist Project (WAP) is a year-long fellowship program facilitated by The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA). The program was created by MOCA GA to champion established visual artists of merit who are based in the Atlanta metropolitan region. Each year, a guest curator selects three of our best and brightest to receive a solo exhibition, promotion, a studio apprentice (in support of emerging artists in the Atlanta Community), a full-color catalogue, and a $15,000 stipend to create work over the course of the year.

A to Z Wineworks, located at their REX HILL property in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, seeks an Artist in Residence for a term beginning in Fall 2025 with a harvest experience and ending in Fall 2026.

The A to Z Artist in Residence immersion program follows the natural cycle of a vintage from pre-harvest through bottling, observing and participating in the art of winemaking. The artist begins as a paid harvest intern. After harvest, the Artist in Residence works on their individual art while remaining involved in the life of the winery as the wine moves from grapes to glass. The residency concludes with a public showcase of some of the artist’s work through a gallery showing, lecture, reading and/or performance.

/rəˈzɪst(ə)n(t)s/ a juried call for photography that represents, express or documents resistance, seen or unseen. Open to all photo-based work with no limit on subject matter or technique. Entries will be judged individually. They are looking to assemble a gallery exhibition, to explore, express and document resistance. Beyond the requirement that light was captured somewhere in the process of making of your work, there are no limits to the type of resistance you choose to represent.

Sculpture in the Valley submissions now open, closing 1 June. $25K+ in prizes. Arts in the Valley is a community organisation, umbrella for three types of events conducted in the historic village of Kangaroo Valley – music, Visual Arts and Sculpture in the Valley. It typically shows off some large-scale and thrilling sculptures viewed against a scenic backdrop. Small scale works are also on show, this time within a re-purposed heritage cow shed. There is a competition with non-acquisitive prizes. The sculptures are available for sale and: “yes, commissions occur”. Sculpture in the Valley 2025 will be held again on private acreage. Two adjoining properties have been chosen and they sit alongside Barrengarry Creek with marvellous views of the soaring sandstone escarpments for which the valley is known.

The City of Subiaco is seeking artists creating functional or utilitarian public artwork. This might be lighting, seating, shade, art utilising living plants – or any artwork serving both a practical and aesthetic use. The City of Subiaco is undertaking a number of laneway upgrades in the coming years and would like to identify a pool of artists who may wish to collaborate with their landscape designers and staff on relevant projects as they arise. The Town of Ashland, Virginia, invites artists or artist teams to submit proposals for the design, fabrication, and installation of functional public artwork at the northern trailhead of the Fall Line Trail. This project is a collaboration between the Ashland Parks & Recreation Committee and the Public Art Commission. The selected piece will serve as both seating and signage while embodying the themes of Ashland’s identity and the Fall Line Trail.

Business for the Arts Broward (BFA) is partnering with Florida Purchasing Agency on a mural mentorship for their building. The mural mentorship project in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL aims to create a vibrant and visually striking mural under the guidance of Lead Artist Lori Pratico in partnership with BFA, funded by Wayne and Lucretia Weiner, Florida Purchasing Agency and BBX Capital. Lori Pratico brings over 30 years of experience and creativity to the initiative. This collaborative endeavor will involve five mentee artists, providing them with the opportunity to build their mural skills and gain valuable insights into the process of creating murals. Throughout the project, the mentees will work closely with Lori Pratico, their mentor, participating in brainstorming sessions, design development, and the execution of the mural itself.

Film London and Arts Council England present The FLAMIN Fellowship, a major development programme for early-career artist filmmakers living in England. Part of Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network (FLAMIN), the Fellowship aims to support the most exciting, innovative and challenging moving image practices, with development and £2,500 funding for new work.

The Artist in Residence (AIR) program awards fully sponsored residencies to approximately 50 local, national, and international artists each year. Residencies of four to ten weeks include studio space, chef-prepared meals, housing, travel and living expenses. AIRs become part of a dynamic community of artists participating in Headlands’ other programs, allowing for exchange and collaborative relationships to develop within the artist community on campus. Artists selected for this program are at all career stages and work in all media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, film, video, new media, installation, fiction and nonfiction writing, poetry, dance, music, interdisciplinary, social practice, arts professions, and architecture.

The total 2025 prize amount is $15,000, with an exciting $10,000 first prize, newly named the Edmund Craig Memorial Award. The award includes $10,000 to the award recipient and the opportunity to exhibit at Artspace111 in a separate solo or group exhibition in 2026.

The purpose of this call is to develop a pre-qualified list of mosaic artists for potential public art projects within the Town of Addison.
Scope of Potential Projects:
• Large and small mosaic panels designed for outdoor walls or building facades.
• 2D and 3D mosaic sculptures of animals, flora, trees, or other landscape features for placement along trails or within parks
• An initial project is for a 3-section wall approximately 6 ft. high (the “Initial Project”). Each wall section is approximately 8 ft. wide with an available area of up to 4 ft. x 5 ft. for each mosaic panel. There is a pond, walking path and landscape area near the wall. Selected artists would have the discretion to propose designs appropriate for each panel.

This community audience driven initiative seeks to support new creative collaborations by providing micro funding to help kick start your project. In the Creative Kitchen, the audience has the power, so make sure you bring you fan club and your creative ideas along to this fun networking evening! On the night, artists will pitch and the audience will vote. The vote will determine who is awarded $1000 to push their idea towards realisation. This fun networking opportunity aims to get creative juices cooking. The bar will be open (so you can buy influence with voters) and any donations made on the night will also be given to the winner. Pop it in your diary and pop on your thinking caps. Technical experimentation, recordings, mural painting, community workshops, art events, live performances – nothing is off the table.

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the Sculpture at the Kavanagh exhibit to be held at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, Illinois. The show is open to any 3-D work in any sculpture or craft medium. No paintings, photographs, or other 2-D work will be accepted. The Fine Line Creative Arts Center is located in the Fox River Valley, approximately one hour west of Chicago, Illinois.

In Cahoots Residency provides housing and studio space to both emerging and professional artists with a focus on artists books, letterpress, printmaking, writing and collaboration. The residency hosts from 3 to 5 artists for sessions ranging from one to three weeks long. Residents are provided housing: 3 full guest houses (with kitchens and full bathrooms), and 2 summer sleeping cottages (with a shared kitchen and full bathroom). Residents have 24-hour access to the shared visual art studios or the individual writing studio. Residents do their own cooking. For those without a car, rides to the grocery store/supply store and weekly group field trips (to places such as downtown Petaluma or the Pacific coast) are provided free of charge.

2025 marks the 29th presentation of the Parkside National Print Exhibition over thirty years since the first show opened at UW-Parkside. For three decades, the PNPE has shown some of the finest examples of original prints from artists nationwide. It is one of the longest-running competitive print exhibitions in the Midwest; founded at UW-Parkside in 1987 by printmaking professor Doug DeVinny. This tradition continues without size limitations in the Emile H. Mathis Gallery in the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts & Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The exhibition will take place Aug 19- Nov 21, 2025, including a public reception, announcement of awards, and juror’s remarks on Wed, Sep 10, 4-6 PM. A full-color catalog will accompany this exhibition.

The Wassaic Project accepts proposals for their 2026 Residency program, which includes the Winter Residency program (Jan – April 2026) and the Summer Residency program (June – September 2026). This call is for individual artists, collaborative teams, groups of two or more individual artists, and artists applying through their Family Residency program. The Haunted Mill will be open to the public 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on October 24th, October 25th, and October 26th, 2025.

Haunted Mill artists will have access to housing in one of their residency houses for 1 - 5 weeks between October 1st to November 3rd, 2025, private studio space in Maxon Mills, and additional space in the Luther Barn. They’re offering $500 - $800 honorariums (depending on the scope of the project) to participating artists and artistic teams for your hard work and creativity.

Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA) is seeking 10 artists to participate in the 2025 Plein Air Festival as “Select Artists” based on the merit of their portfolio.

The City of Tamarac, Florida is seeking to commission an artist or artist team to design seven (7) sculptural benches to be located at the City’s Sportsplex located at 9901 N.W. 77 Street, Tamarac, Florida 33321. The benches should serve both functional and artistic purposes and incorporate the city’s brand and various sports themes. Three artists /artist teams will be selected as semi-finalists to develop and present design proposals. Each will receive a $1,500 stipend. The winning artist will be awarded a $50,000 contract to include permitting, artist fees, production, materials, insurance, travel, delivery, and other incidental expenses. Deadline: June 3, 2025

"Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs and the Public Art Review Board invite artists to submit work – existing or conceptual – for the 11th annual Sculpture on the Lawn exhibition, an outdoor display featured at the entrance to the Orange County Administration Center in the heart of downtown Orlando, Florida.

Sculpture on the Lawn is open to experienced professional sculptors as well as students and emerging artists who specialize in the design, construction, and installation of outdoor sculptures. Up to four sculptures will be selected for display from January 2026 to January 2027."

Over the past two years, Artville has awarded over $320,000 to more than 50 artists to create temporary public art, gallery programs, activations and immersive experiences in Nashville as part of its first city-wide art festival. In its third year, Artville expands into downtown Nashville with Walk of Fame Park which will host Artville as well as the iconic American Artisan Festival—a contemporary craft festival that will be hosted as part of Artville. Artville remains committed to supporting artists, growing public art, and connecting communities through creativity across Nashville.

Emerging artists are invited to apply for the 2025 British Ceramics Biennial Fresh exhibition, taking place in Stoke-on-Trent. Each exhibitor will receive a £300 exhibition payment and £50 towards the transportation of the work to and from the exhibition venue. The Fresh Talent Prizes seek to recognise artists of significant emerging talent exhibiting in Fresh. Four early-career artists will be awarded a Fresh Talent Prize, comprising a cash award and a residency through partnerships with Guldagergaard International Ceramics Research Center in Denmark, Grymsdyke Farm in Buckinghamshire, University of Staffordshire and the BCB Studio, both of which are based in Stoke-on-Trent. The Rocky Mountain National Watermedia (RMNW) exhibition, in its 52nd year, is presented by Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) in Evergreen, Colorado. RMNW attracts entrants and jurors from throughout the United States and is regarded as one of the top watermedia exhibitions in the country. This show traditionally offers more than $10,000 in cash awards.

In its sixteenth year, this annual acquisitive award and exhibition is organised by the Art Collection and Galleries Unit at Deakin University. The award celebrates contemporary sculpture with an exhibition of finalists’ work at the Deakin University Art Gallery. A fascinating snapshot of contemporary Australian sculpture.

The Greater Augusta Arts Council, on behalf of Augusta University, is requesting proposals from qualified sculptors or artist teams to create a unique, durable, low-maintenance, safe to touch sculpture. This will be placed on the grounds of the Augusta University Summerville Campus. Artists are asked to conceive sculptures symbolizing innovation and community. The sculpture is intended to last for 50 years minimum in good condition. Salem Art Association (SAA) invites artists to apply for and participate in the 76th annual Salem Art Fair & Festival in 2025. This honored 76-year-old event is one of the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest and draws artists from around the country. The Salem Art Fair has an outstanding reputation among participants and visitors alike, attracting 19,000 attendees annually. Salem Art Fair & Festival is held in the heart of Salem, Oregon in Bush’s Pasture Park. The 100-acre park is home to a historic white oak grove. The park’s standing as a community gathering space makes this an ideal setting to celebrate creativity and showcase art.

Blue is a complicated color of polarities, a color or a state of mind. This is a juried show and is offered to Bay Area (Northern California) artists in ten counties.

The Trenton Artwalk Project is a collaboration between Artworks, the City of Trenton, and the New Jersey Department of Transportation. This project is dedicated to improving and beautifying the pedestrian/cycling route between the Trenton Transit Center and Downtown Trenton. The “Artwalk Corridor” is the series of sidewalks, crosswalks and the Route 1 underpass between the train/light rail station and Stockton Street. Images are provided on the next page. The intention of the project is to add a safe and beautiful walking/biking route from a major transit hub to the heart of downtown. This call focuses on a large mural on the wall of the Route 1 underpass.

Tattoo is one of the oldest, most personal art forms, blending bodily ornamentation with a deep-rooted expression of identity and community. From the traditions of Polynesia (the word “tattoo” deriving from the Samoan word Tatau) celebrating ancestry and life events, to symbols of gang affiliation or naval service, tattoos carry shared meanings and stories that are taken with a person for the rest of their lives. In the Circumpolar regions of North America, tattoos are a female rite of passage that marks important events in a woman’s life, such as the transition from girlhood to womanhood, or the birth of a child. Many indigenous cultures are making efforts to destigmatize tattoos in colonized regions of the world, as in New Zealand, as a way for Māori to reclaim their cultural identity.

BigCi is an independent, artist run, not for profit artist residency program focusing on artists’ professional development and facilitating their projects. Because of their location on the edge of Wollemi National Park within the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains, many of their resident artists are particularly interested in projects that explore environmental or ecological issues, while others use their natural surroundings as a source of creativity. All residents have opportunities to take part in bushwalks conducted by Yuri Bolotin, an experienced mountain guide and author, and to learn first-hand about the unique natural environment of the area. Artists-in-residence are able to present their work during a BigCi Open Day that usually takes place at the end of their stay.

City of Melbourne’s Annual Arts Grants and Residencies Program is now open. Artists and arts organisations are invited to apply for one of the following opportunities. Annual Arts Grants – Up to $20,000 is available for arts projects that deliver a public outcome, either online or at a venue within City of Melbourne in 2026. Open to individual artists, groups, and small to medium arts organisations. Art Residencies – These grants provide studio spaces and facilities for artists and small to medium arts organisations to support the development of their creative practice. Residencies are available in 2026 for six or 12 months and include up to $5,000 funding for artists.

The Menokin Foundation is seeking artists to propose & create an outdoor art installation to be temporarily displayed for 1 year on Menokin’s grounds that revolves around the theme of self-emancipation. Proposed artwork meant for indoors will also be accepted, but indoor space is limited.
Menokin defines “self-emancipation” as an act where one exerts autonomy over their lives under oppressive circumstances.
Many identities and histories are housed on Menokin that the artist may use as inspiration to explore the theme of self-emancipation. Menokin’s natural landscape and built environment should be considered in the artist’s proposal. The artist may also reflect upon their own identity, personal history, & connections to America and what liberty, equality, & sovereignty means to them.

The Vilcek Foundation will award six Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in the amount of $50,000 in two categories: Fashion & Design and Fashion & Culture. In each category, three young immigrant fashion professionals who demonstrate outstanding early achievement in their field will individually receive an unrestricted cash prize of $50,000.

Viridian Artists Gallery is having its 33rd international juried exhibition. It will be Juried by Jim Kempner of Jim Kempner Fine Arts. CERF+ offers Get Ready Grants, providing craft artists with grants up to $1,000 for activities to safeguard their studios, protect their practices, and prepare for emergencies. Priority is given to applicants that have been underrepresented in the craft community including BIPOC and folk/traditional artists. Eligible activities include studio safeguards, emergency/disaster readiness, business protection and support, and practice protection. To qualify for a Get Ready Grant, applicants need to be craft artists who are 18 years of age or older. They must have been living and working in the U.S. or U.S. Territories for the past two years. Additionally, they should not have received a Get Ready Grant in the previous calendar year.

The Joyce Spencer Textile Awards are to support regional NSW textile artists or collectives to deliver new artworks or exhibitions. Named after the textile artist Joyce Spencer (1928 – 2019), the awards are made possible with funds from the Spencer family and Western Riverina Arts, in partnership with the Cad Factory. One Fellowship of $4000 will be awarded to a mid-career artist or group to assist in achieving their outcome. A $1500 Highly Commended Award and a $600 Prize will also be awarded. For projects delivered between July 2025 and December 2027. Round 5 Expressions of Interest will open on 30 April 2025 and close on 11 June 2025.

Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) - Winter 2026 is designed for visual artists at any stage of their career to focus on their practice in a supportive learning environment. Over five weeks, participants are encouraged to self-direct their research and time, as well as cultivate new directions in their work. The experience of artists in residence is further supported through individual studio visits with faculty, workshops, and lectures. In addition, participants have the opportunity to build community, create connections, and share their work with other artists-in-residence and the public. Calling all photographers! Enter the Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize 2025 for a chance to win $30,000. The Australian Photographic Society’s Mullins Conceptual Photography Prize is a national $30,000 acquisitive prize that seeks to find Australia’s best conceptual photographic works. Finalists of the prize are exhibited annually at Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre with the prize-winning work joining the Muswellbrook Shire Art Collection, and a collection of contemporary photographic works acquired through the Muswellbrook Photographic Award (1987 – 2014). Tattoos in the US have seen a cultural shift over the past generations; from the Baby Boomer to Gen Z. This exhibition looks at the shift and welcomes the gradual social embrace of the tattoo industry and how it is beginning to become a form of not only body art, but that of contemporary fine art. This call for submission is open to all artists 18 years of age or older living in the US. This is a juried exhibition for artists working in all styles of artwork, i.e. realism, expressionism, abstract 2D and 3D media, including sculpture. All artwork must be original in concept, design and execution. No size limitations.
Photography, digital art, computer art, reproductions (such as giclee, prints) are not acceptable unless part of a mixed media artwork or collage. Film, video, AI generated art, installation art or performance art are not accepted. No crafts (such as jewelry, beads) or kit work. The St. Michaels Public Art Project is seeking to commission a permanent sculpture to be positioned in the historic district at the original town center. This sculpture will be on the grounds of the St. Michaels Museum at St. Mary’s Square drawing people to the area and serving as an educational tool for children, residents and visitors. The goals for the sculpture are to promote gathering in the Square, to educate visitors on the history of the culture of St. Michaels, and to create a sense of place to those who visit. We are inviting artists, who reside in Maryland, to submit responses to this Request.

Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures. 

This 2-week program includes 8 hours of instruction in Day of the Dead ephemeral art techniques, including paper, installation, and the edible dimension of the altar; as well as an exploration of José Guadalupe Posada’s imagery. Participants will have the opportunity to join guided tours and visits to prominent museums in Puebla, altars, graveyards, or relevant sites. Alongside these artistic endeavors, attendees will engage in 20 hours of Spanish language lessons, divided into 8 hours of grammar, 6 hours of conversation practice, and 6 hours of immersive on-site language practice. They will also embark on food tours, a total of 4-hours, to savor the culinary delights of the region and spend 6 hours on academic visits to museums, altars, graveyards, and other relevant sites. Furthermore, participants will benefit from 2 hours of artistic mentoring sessions. Activities are designed to promote intense creative work and artistic dialogue; therefore, artists are expected to allocate self-directed studio hours as part of their weekly schedule.

Young Sculptors, U.S. residents, ages 25 – 35 as of competition entry are invited to participate in a biennial juried competition for the 2025 $10, 000 William and Dorothy Yeck Award. Entrants should have achieved a significant degree of success as an emerging artist of noteworthy talent. The winner will become part of the Miami University Yeck Collection of 21 st Century Painting and Sculpture.

Prairie Ronde Artist Residency offers artists from a range of disciplines a 5 – 6 week residency in the historic Village of Vicksburg, Michigan. Offering a unique environment for our artists to develop their craft: the 420,000 square foot former Lee Paper Company mill and its adjacent 80 acres of property. The Studio Workspace Residency is an opportunity for artists to create new work and fully immerse themselves in WSW’s supportive environment. They invite applications from artists at any stage of their careers. This residency gives artists the gift of time, an uninterrupted period to live and work away from the stresses of daily life-- while artists are still responsible for their own travel, materials, meals, and other personal incidentals while in residence, WSW provides housing and studio space at no cost. Artists receive a thorough studio orientation and are expected to work independently, although studio staff is available to provide assistance. Deep technical assistance can be arranged for an additional fee.

The Emerging New Media Artists Programme is a supported one-year programme of theoretical engagement, creative production and technical training for emerging artists working in New Media and Digital Art. Developed in collaboration with Le Fresnoy - Studio National des Arts Contemporains, the programme offers participants access to cutting-edge technology, production facilities, and mentorship from leading international artists and scholars.

The programme is designed for artists who are 35 years or younger, at graduate or postgraduate completion stage, with experience in New Media and Digital Art. Applications are now open! This year they are asking you to reflect with a theme of remembrance. Your artwork could be inspired by a memory of a person or a place, a recollection of something past or present, or simply a feeling of nostalgia, but it is entirely up to your personal interpretation - what does memory mean to you?

OPEN OPEN 2025: Wish You Were Here will be on display at The Chapel Gallery from Thursday 3 July until Saturday 26 July. The gallery is free to visit, and will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am - 4pm.

Artists can submit up to 2 artworks for £15, and £10 for a third entry. There is a concession for CAS Associate Artists: £10 for up to 2 artworks, and £5 for a third entry. (You can submit a maximum of 3 artworks). All artists must be over the age of 16.

The Ferrara Showman Gallery invites artists worldwide to submit works for the 29th Annual NO DEAD ARTISTS International Juried Exhibition. In offering emerging, mid-career and established artists and makers an influential platform to exhibit their drawings, this long standing exhibition project has developed new insights into the role and value of drawing in creative practice today. The exhibition is selected from a submission of original artworks by an annually appointed Selection Panel.

The In Between Gallery is a temporary exhibition platform for Fabrica’s picture window in central Brighton. This exciting initiative is now in its eighth year. Fabrica is partnering with Spectrum Photographic, Photo Fringe and Jane & Jeremy to present excellent photographic work by UK-based artists who consider themselves to be early to mid-career. The image would be exhibited from December 2025 – April 2026, though may be occasionally removed for very short periods around Fabrica’s venue hire commitments.

The Art Selection Committee is seeking public artwork that marks the transition from a historic, tree-lined neighborhood into the vibrant urban environment of the NEON District, while also inviting and signifying the entrance to the Fusion apartment complex. They invite artists to create a bold, unexpected installation that challenges conventional outdoor sculpture formats. Rather than a static piece on a pedestal, they envision artwork that flows and interacts with the space—perhaps wrapping around a corner, climbing a building, or extending into the surroundings. The installation should be dynamic, lively, and thought-provoking, embodying creativity in its most fluid and experimental form.

Giertz Gallery at Parkland College seeks exhibition proposals by solo artists, collaborative groups, or curators in all genres of contemporary approaches to art-making. Preference will be given to artists with an established exhibition record. Giertz Gallery is a professionally designed gallery devoted primarily to education through contemporary art. It hosts seven exhibitions annually, including one student exhibition, one Art and Design Faculty Show, and a National Invitational. Other shows vary depending on applications and the vision of the Director and Advisory Board.

Giertz Gallery is more than just an exhibition space. It's a dynamic platform that brings contemporary art to the forefront. Our teaching gallery hosts programs featuring professional artists, allowing faculty to use the gallery as an instructional resource. This setup benefits our students and the community, who get to experience the artwork firsthand, and the artists, who can share their creative process and artistic journey. 

Submitting a proposal to Giertz Gallery is a simple and straightforward process. Our exhibits run for approximately six weeks, and the artist is responsible for expenses and insurance during the artwork's transportation to the gallery. We provide return shipping or an honorarium to cover return travel expenses. Additionally, we offer an honorarium for participating in visiting artist activities such as lectures, gallery talks, and workshops. To apply, please submit 20 images (including at least one installation image if possible), a list of titles, sizes, dates, and media, a resume or CV with an exhibition record, and an artist statement related to this body of work. The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) Mural Program is an initiative dedicated to revitalizing the community by transforming blank walls into meaningful works of art. Through this program, the FPRA funds the installation of murals on eligible properties within the designated redevelopment area. This program aims to reduce slum and blight, foster civic pride, and provide a platform for artistic expression while improving the overall aesthetic of the city. The FPRA invites qualified muralists to apply for this public art commission, which is the installation of murals within the PAD and downtown. ArtsFairfax, in partnership with the Mount Vernon District Office, Fairfax County, seeks an artist or artist team to design, fabricate, and install a permanent sculpture at the Lorton Police Station and Animal Shelter that will signal the site’s offering of hospitality, safety, and community engagement. This location offers visibility and a unique opportunity to create impactful public art that will represent a point of pride at a high traffic Fairfax County facility.

This call asks artists to consider where they belong, where does their spirit feel at home. How does their artwork represent the feeling of home? All submitted works must be created by the hand of the artist, including- but not limited to: silver gelatin; platinum/palladium; albumen; cyanotype; gum bichromate; wet-plate collodion; photo gravure; carbon; vandyke brown; traditional printmaking; instant transfers and lifts, hand-manipulated (altered surface) digital prints, and other alternative and historic printing processes. The City of Redmond's Commission for Art in Public Places (RCAPP) invites artists/artist teams to submit proposals to install a painted mural in downtown Redmond. The mural will be located at 224 SW 6th Street, Redmond, OR 97756. The mural must be on the 6th Street façade, but the artist may choose to extend the mural to the Black Butte façade. The project budget is inclusive of all project phases. If the mural is solely on 6th Street, the total amount of the project budget will be $18,000. If the mural is on both 6th Street and Black Butte, the total project amount will be $25,000.

The British Council’s Connections Through Culture (CTC) Grants support artistic collaboration between the UK and select countries in the Asia-Pacific and Europe. The Gifts of Art Program is seeking submissions for individual and group art exhibits for the September 2025 to August 2026 exhibition year. One of the first arts in healthcare programs in the nation, Gifts of Art brings the world of art and music to Michigan Medicine. Their 2-D and 3-D galleries throughout the medical center are viewed by thousands of people each day and display over 30 exhibits per year.

Gifts of Art’s rotating gallery program is intended to support the healing process and reduce the stress and anxiety often associated with healthcare settings. The Australian Fibre Art Award is a biennial, juried, non-acquisitive competition with a $2,000 first prize. Contemporary artists residing in Australia are invited to submit recent, unseen works made of any fibre-related media. Gallery76, in Sydney’s inner west, will stage an exhibition of the 2025 finalists with the winner announced at the opening event on 30 August 2025. The organisers are ArtWear Publications, an Australian independent publishing company, providing quality magazines for the textile and fibre arts. It is the third time it has held the competition.

The City of Mühlhausen invites artists to creatively reinterpret its historic old town through light art, projections, and videomapping — as part of the 2025 commemorative program "freiheyt 1525 – 500 Years of the Peasants’ War". They are seeking contemporary visual works that engage with themes of freedom, resistance, social transformation, and memory. Bodies and Borders: Ecologies of Consent investigates the intersection of bodies, ecology, and agency through the lens of permeability and protection. Drawing from Elvia Wilk’s assertion that health hinges on the regulation of what enters and exits the body's borders, this exhibition explores how consent is navigated/ within biological, political, and ecological systems. Women Eco Artists Dialog (WEAD) in partnership with The 109 Gallery invites work that addresses the ethics of bodily autonomy, the fluidity of borders, and challenges rigid classifications of self and other. The exhibition invites viewers to consider how bodies; human, animal, vegetal, and microbial, are sites of negotiation, resistance, and transformation in an era of ecological precarity. Submission is free to WEAD members whose annual dues are paid by June 30. For artists who are not WEAD members, the submission fee is $45, which includes a year's membership to WEAD, and is also due June 30, 2025.

“The Gap Between Art and Life,” is a competitive, southeastern regional exhibition organized by the Webber Gallery of the College of Central Florida. Open to all forms of installation art, the exhibition will present a display of multiple installation works by selected artists. “The Gap Between Art and Life,” will be on view from September 1 – October 16, 2025. The minimal entrance fee covers the online submission process. The jury panel for this exhibition will be composed of former Appleton Museum of Art Curator Leslie Hammond and Current Appleton Assistant Director Victoria Billig, who will be determining what artworks are selected for display in this show, in consultation with the Webber Gallery staff and College of Central Florida Art Faculty.

The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art is pleased to announce the 2025 juried fine art competition, A Sense of Place. Open to participants from throughout the United States, this event, now in its 43rd year, seeks to recognize the outstanding quality and diversity of work being generated by contemporary American artists. Three cash prizes will be given, including a $750 Best of Show Award and two $500 Juror’s Awards. At the juror’s discretion, additional noncash Merit awards may also be presented. Award recipients will be announced on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the opening reception for A Sense of Place.

The International Exhibition on Animals in Art ran for 28 years before it was put on hiatus due to building renovations and then the pandemic. But they brought it back in 2022. Animals in Art celebrates animals. Pieces must depict an animal (fish and insects are considered animals for the purposes of this exhibition). Any work that is determined not to meet the spirit of the exhibit will not be accepted. The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is one of only 33 veterinary schools in the U.S. and the only one in Louisiana. LSU Vet Med is dedicated to improving and protecting the lives of animals and people through superior education, transformational research, and compassionate care.

They are looking for accomplished, but relatively unknown, artists whose art discipline benefits the residents of Santa Clara County. Created in honor of their community’s iconic columnist and patron of the arts Leigh Weimers, these cash awards are meant to support and encourage emerging artists. Artists in all genres may apply for this award. Previous awards have ranged between a $1,000 and $5,000 cash prize, and up to four winners will be invited to show their work and/or speak at a lunch meeting of one of the world’s 10 largest Rotary Clubs.

This initiative aims to provide artists with a platform to showcase their talents, gain recognition, and further their creative journeys. By entering the competition, artists have the chance to win significant cash prizes and other opportunities, including exhibitions, mentorship, and promotion through Cicek Gallery.

This exhibition explores all forms of Love, a powerful force in people's lives. Artists are invited to present their visual interpretations including romantic and selfless love, erotic pleasure, young or mature love, unrequited love, jealous love, self love, and even love beyond death. In addition, artists can consider platonic affection shared by friends during the phases of an intense relationship, parents' adoration and loving care of children (and vice versa), and devotion to animals as they offer profound emotional comfort. Pictorial symbols and imagery associated with love and passion -- such as hearts, cupids, roses, etc. -- can also be submitted. These are fascinating because they vary with cultural evolution and location.

Photo Trouvée Magazine is pleased to announce an international open call for print issue 17. They are looking for artists who work with or are inspired by vintage, found or family photographs in any media and at any stage in their career. This issue has no theme and you may submit works previously created and/or published or they also encourage you to create something specific for this issue.

ACS is offering a recent graduate the chance to win £6,000 to contribute to the cost of an artist’s studio in a UK city of their choice. ACS is delighted to announce that this year’s Studio Prize will be judged by Victoria Miro, Melanie Gerlis, Hester Westley and Harriet Bridgeman. The Studio Prize was established after a number of our members’ spoke of the economic challenges they faced when starting their artistic careers. ACS realises how difficult it is to focus on your art especially after leaving university. The ACS Studio Prize was founded to help.

Taller Radal is an artist-run space, printmaking studio and artist-in-residence program at the gates of the patagonian andean forest, with easy access from San Carlos de Bariloche International Airport and a few minutes walk from Lago Gutiérrez. The artist-in residence programs are designed to provide a creative and supportive environment for printmakers from all over the world who seek to immerse themselves in an atmosphere surrounded by forest and mountains that vary their colors during the four seasons of the year.
