"Inspired by the work of artist, writer and educator David Barr, Michigan Legacy Art Park provides resident artists with time, space, support and inspiration for furthering their work by offering artist residency programs. Their primary annual residency program offers a two-week stay, a small honorarium, and an opportunity to both explore the Art Park, and work in a local art studio. Non-lodging residencies for local artists are also available on a limited basis.
Summer Local Artist non-lodging residency: Between June 1 and August 31, 2026. You may choose as many or as few days as you wish. The local residency includes a $500 stipend for materials and work. Fall Residency with Lodging: Between September 1 and October 31. This is a fourteen-day residency, and you may propose to spend less time, but not more time. The Fall Residency with Lodging includes a $1500 stipend for travel, materials, groceries, etc."

The Mudhouse is an artist residency located in the village of Agios Ioannis on the Island of Crete, Greece. The Mudhouse Residency aims to provide artists inspiration derived from an engagement with the stunning natural beauty of its environment, solitude to foster creative growth, an artistic community to enrich professional practices, and an immersive cultural experience within a profoundly rich historical context. The General Application allows the artist to choose from three residency fee tiers. The residency fee includes accommodations, studio space and two meals each day for the two week duration of the residency. The artist is responsible for their own travel to the residency, and daily stipend for any groceries, art supplies or excursions outside of the village. Artists who are able to pay the full residency fee may select to pay $4400 in their application. Artists who require a partial fellowship to attend may select to be considered for a partial fellowship, for a residency fee of $3600. Artists who need financial aid in addition to the partial fellowship may select to be considered for the $2800 residency fee, and will be asked to perform a job during their residency session. Residency jobs include studio maintenance, exhibition crew and tech assistance. 1/3 of the residencies each year are partially funded and 1/3 of the residencies each year are partially funded with an additional stipend.

Fusion Art announces the Colors 2026 Art Competition.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using a concentration of colors. One color or a multitude of colors meets the criteria for this competition.

This is an international open (no theme) competition so any subject matter and any media are acceptable. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art and photography.

Initiated in 1985 with the support of Jerome Foundation, Franklin Furnace annually awards grants to early career artists selected by peer panel review to enable them to produce major performance art works in New York City.
Artists may apply once per year as an individual, and once per year as part of a collaboration. FUND grants range between $2,000 and $10,000 based on the peer review panel allocation of funding received by Franklin Furnace.
Artists from all areas of the world are encouraged to apply; artists selected by the panel are expected to present their work in New York City. Full-time students are ineligible.

The Drawing Year is their full-time, full-scholarship postgraduate-level programme. It is designed for artists and creatives who wish to engage in creative exploration and critical enquiry, and discover how drawing can further enrich their practice. 30 selected students benefit from 3.5 days of skills-based tuition a week from distinguished teaching and visiting artists, access to their own dedicated studio space, a lecture programme, professional development guidance and the opportunity to exhibit in a series of end-of-year public exhibitions.

Each year, WaveMaker at Locust Projects awards a total of $60,000 in grant funding to artists, curators, and collectives across Miami-Dade County in the following three categories:

New Work / Projects: Grants up to $6,000 each to support the creation and presentation of visionary, artist-driven new work / projects.
Long-Haul Projects: Grants up to $6,000 each to support sustaining, completing, or growing visibility for long-term projects. This category recognizes the time and commitment required to pursue long-term artistic endeavors and the need for funding to inject new enegery and ideas to sustain the project.
R&D + Implementation: Grants up to $2,000 each to support research and development for ambitious new projects that take creative risks or benefit from a longer planning period. The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. It takes place in the shared Artists’ Studio, including the solvent/etching area and the darkroom.


Keyholders work independently, in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; printmaking skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended. Basic instruction in printmaking techniques is available for new Keyholders. Technical assistance is not included in the program, but is available at additional cost.

This Residency is funded by the Donohue family to support a five-week residency for a ceramic artist to come and teach 2 five-week classes in the fall session (starts mid-October). The Skidmore Department of Art is seeking applications for its Work+Space Residency Program for Fall 2026. The Work+Space Residency Program hosts an emerging artist for a 3-week residency (approximately November 1st to November 22nd) to make new work, have a one week solo exhibition in the Schick Gallery, and engage with students through a lecture, studio visits, workshop or other project. The City of Federal Way is seeking Pacific Northwest artists residing in Washington State to design and create outdoor murals for Vendor Container Row at the new Downtown Civic Plaza. This project will highlight the culture, creativity, and welcoming spirit of Federal Way while activating a new community gathering space for events, concerts, and festivals. Artists may submit up to two conceptual designs for consideration. Three artists will be selected and compensated for their work.

Submissions for their September 2026–June 2027 Emerging Artists Programme are now open. This opportunity is open to UK-based artists/art collectives who are within the first ten years of their practice, with a body of work ready to exhibit at Orleans House Gallery. The selected artists/art collectives will be given a budget of £2000 to make the exhibition happen (suggested budget breakdown of £1200 to the artist, £800 for production, install, deinstall, etc).

This year, they seek proposals for two funded artist residencies, responding to their site, their philosophy of An Art Centre As A Garden and the theme of Ecologies of Migration. Their awarded residencies offer time, space, and support to artists* working with communities in meaningful and imaginative ways. There are two residency opportunities available, each taking place flexibly over 35 days across a season. For Portals: New Perspectives, they invite photographs that explore openings, thresholds, and points of transition. Windows, doorways, mirrors, gates, archways, reflections, and frames within frames may serve as literal portals, while shifts in light, shadow, or perspective can transform familiar spaces into something unexpected.

They also welcome more interpretive approaches. A portal might represent change, movement, memory, or emotional transition. Whether urban or rural, interior or exterior, documentary or conceptual, show them how photography opens new ways of seeing.

Touchstones Rochdale and Parker Harris are excited to announce the return of The Football Art Prize, an international open call celebrating the confluence between football and art.

This prestigious competition invites artists who explore the passion, drama, and unity that football inspires across the world. Open to anyone aged 18 and over, working in any two-dimensional medium (including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and moving image) the prize welcomes diverse and creative interpretations of how football shapes our lives, identities, and communities.

For its second edition, the shortlisted works will form part of a prestigious regional touring exhibition, opening at the Millennium Gallery (Sheffield Museums Trust) before travelling to the National Football Museum in Manchester - all during 2026, the year of the next iconic World Cup. The Appalachian Nature Art & Photography Competition & Exhibition is organized by the Arcadian Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland, to celebrate the beauty of nature across the Appalachian region.

This competition and exhibition has two jurors, Terry Miller for art and Steven David Johnson for photography. This competition is being organized by Arcadian Gallery owner and former Art Director of National Geographic, Christopher Sloan. Artwork or images accepted for exhibition will be shown in the in-person exhibition at the Arcadian Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland, a growing arts destination in the heart of the central Appalachians within easy reach of Washington, DC; Baltimore; and Pittsburgh.

Project grants supporting environmental art projects led by woman, transgender, and gender-nonconforming artists in the United States and U.S. Territories. Projects must focus on environmental issues and include a free public engagement component. Supports completion of existing projects already in development or phases of ongoing projects. Grant term runs from August 2026 to August 2027.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced contemporary artists to develop and install applied works for one or more walls in the courtyard area and/or the street-facing back wall of the courtyard at Maroondah Federation Estate. A prominent cultural and arts facility in Ringwood, the venue houses galleries, artist studios and workshops as well as function rooms available for hire. A budget of between $20,000 to $100,000 (excluding GST) is available for the commission.

The Pence Gallery supports emerging artists in California through this annual award that provides funding to further their work in a significant direction. Selected artists must use the award to create new work and exhibit it at the Pence Gallery from January to February 2027. The exhibition takes place in a community gallery space of approximately 600 square feet with 12-foot ceilings. Artists may work in any medium except video or sound art.

Scottsdale Arts seeks proposals for large-scale temporary light-based public artworks for Canal Convergence, a free public art event featuring 10 nights of interactive art installations. The event focuses on outdoor, temporary public artworks featured in, around, and suspended above the Arizona Canal at the Scottsdale Waterfront. Selected artworks will be displayed for 10 nights with one project potentially remaining for an additional month.

Pasadena Photography Arts presents an annual award for emerging photographers with residence in the United States. The organization seeks cohesive bodies of work between 10-20 images with an accompanying statement. All photography mediums are accepted including analogue, digital, portrait, abstract, mixed-media, documentary, street photography, conceptual, still-life photography, landscape, alternative photography, and cell phone photography. The winning photographer receives recognition through multiple platforms including website features and virtual presentations.

The Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize will be held at the Fleurieu Arthouse in the heart of McLaren Vale from 5 June – 5 July 2026. A NEW Curator’s Choice exhibition and prize will be held at the Stump Hill Gallery at the McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre in McLaren Vale at the same time. Artists are invited to submit artworks (2D or 3D) exploring the theme A Sense of Place. The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists (WFF HSG) provides grants of $30,000, distributed over three years, to NYC-based visual artists in need who are seeking support for stable housing. In its second cycle, the WFF HSG will award grants to five artists.

The WFF Housing Stability Grant for Artists is offered in recognition of the increasing unaffordability of rental housing in New York City, and that housing insecurity diminishes artists’ ability to meet their highest potential as creators. Its goal is to improve artists’ housing stability, through a $30,000 grant that is distributed over three years. The WFF HSG hopes that recipients will be able to remain in, or find, reliable and stable housing for at least three years, thereby allowing them to focus on their creative practice and build more sustainable careers. These grants are designed to provide supplemental support towards artists’ long-term housing budgets, rather than provide the primary source of funding for immediate housing needs.

The Atlas of Contemporary Women Artists is a new international publishing series by Women United ART MOVEMENT designed to map contemporary women artists across the world—continent by continent. The first volume focuses on North America, bringing together artists working across diverse cultural, political, and geographic contexts. Rather than documenting careers or market trajectories, The Atlas explores the lived realities behind contemporary artistic practice—examining how place, history, identity, and power shape the work artists create. This publication aims to build a long-term global archive of contemporary women artists, foregrounding artists’ voices, reflections, and creative processes alongside their artwork.

The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers.

The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities.

Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

Resident groups are intentionally kept small enough (8-10 people) to gather around the dinner table each evening, Tuesday through Friday, for delicious vegetarian meals prepared by our chef. These communal meals are an essential part of the Hambidge residency experience. Serious topics are discussed (and light-hearted ones, too), experiences are shared, and encouragement is given. Many a collaboration and life-long friendship have begun at the Hambidge dinner table.

FIRST STREET GALLERY’s 2026 National Juried Exhibition will be held June 25 through July 18, 2026 in the Gallery’s exhibition space in New York City’s Chelsea Art District. Common Things: Art and Objects in Public Life invites artists, designers, and architects working across media to reflect creatively on what thinker Hannah Arendt described as the "world of things," those durable features of the physical world that "relate and separate men at the same time." The City of Granbury and the Granbury Cultural Arts Commission are seeking original designs by Hood County artists to cover utility boxes, also known as traffic signal cabinets, there is a total of 25 to be covered for project completion, as part of the Out of the Box Program. This is an incredible opportunity to be paid to have your artwork featured in public spaces and contribute to the artistic vibrancy of our community. Clay artists are invited to apply for a one-year residency position at Mudflat Studio in Somerville, MA. The City of Bloomington’s Office of Creative Placemaking and Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Okodakiciye Dakota Advisory Committee, invite public artists from the contiguous United States to submit qualifications for the design, fabrication and installation of a site-specific sculpture which will be placed at Pond-Dakota Mission Park; an area with deep Indigenous history and connections. This public art installation will create a more distinctive sense of place and identity, and celebrate the history and culture of the Dakota people.

The Al & Mickey Quinlan Residency is an application-based 8-week program for emerging and mid-career Midwest artists focused in the areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, created and led in partnership with the Miller Art Museum. The 2026 resident is invited to live and work at the Dome House from August 2 through September 27, 2026. The residency serves the broader mission of the Dome House to provide artists working in all mediums with space for creativity, contemplation and inspiration.

Applications for 4-week artist-in-residence are now being accepted from visual artists working in any discipline, including interdisciplinary approaches. The committee encourages artists to create and develop artwork independently in the Ritz Gallery. Artists should be willing to discuss their project conceptualization and visual progression with School of Design students, faculty, and the community during open studio hours and public events. It is not intended that the selected artist teach or provide workshops.

Zygote Press is proud to offer their 3rd annual PROOF Fellowship program, a Fine Art Printmaking residency for Northeast Ohio Artists from historically underrepresented communities. The PROOF Fellowship is a six month residency program inspired by Zygote’s 2021-2023 BIPOC Fellowship artists-in-residence. The PROOF Fellowship offers non-printmaking artists from BIPOC communities an opportunity to learn a variety of printmaking techniques including silkscreen, monoprint, relief, intaglio, lithography and RISO.

LGBTIQA+ creatives can apply for a funded 2027 Rainbow Exhibition at the Eltham Library Community Gallery, which will be put forward as a 2027 Midsumma Festival event.

For the past 3 years they have curated an outdoor sculpture exhibition at Mother-In-Law's Gallery Grounds in Germantown, NY (15 acres). The exhibitions MUSKEG 2025, ENDS WELL 2024, and PARLEY 2023, have received press from The New York Times, Art News, Hyperallergic and many more.

The City features public art at Brookview and City Hall to give local and regional artists the opportunity to display, and by the artist’s choice, sell, their artwork in a location visible to the community. Artwork is displayed in both buildings in rotating terms (generally three months each). The City sends RFAs to the art community and art facilitator groups twice a year. Art is selected in advance for each term of the next year.

Lanesboro Arts is excited to invite Minnesotan artists in any stage of their career to submit work for the upcoming group exhibition Carrying Each Other. The St. Elmo Arts Residency within the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin offers one fellowship each academic year to a recent MFA graduate specializing in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, or time-based media. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House (Buffalo, New York) is pleased to announce a call for applications to its Creative Residency Program. The residency provides individuals from multiple disciplines a thought-provoking environment in which to produce new works of the imagination inspired by one of the great examples of 20th century architecture. Museum of the Bible seeks Christian and Jewish professional artists to create new work inspired by Ezekiel 37:1-14 for a major exhibition in Washington, D.C. All visual media welcome.

Sedona Arts Center (SAC) invites teens ages 15 to 18 to apply for Gallery 928 — a unique art apprenticeship program that pairs students with a master artist to create a public art mural for the Center.

Modeled after Chicago’s renowned Gallery 37 program, Gallery 928 engages aspiring artists in hands-on learning that builds both creative and professional skills. Apprentices gain experience in the public art process — from concept to completion — while developing teamwork, leadership, and presentation abilities.

Up to 12 students will be selected. Each will receive a $500 stipend from Sedona Arts Center and 3 free college credits through Yavapai College. Participants also learn practical career skills such as resume building and public speaking, preparing them for future opportunities in the arts. In January 2024, The Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) and Civis Foundation partnered to launch The Democracy Cycle, a commissioning program designed to support new works that illuminate the promise, practice, imperfection, and opportunity of democracy. Over a five-year period, The Democracy Cycle will commission and develop 25 new performing arts works across the fields of theater, dance, music, opera, and multi-disciplinary performance. Residents receive studio space, housing, welcome meals, city transportation card, insurance, and open studio presentation opportunities. The program includes printmaking workshop facilities and access to Buenos Aires cultural community.

The Production Residencies aims to support emerging and career artists within the Visual Arts for the production/creation of either new works (which may include an exhibition / a site specific installation) or a work in progress adapted for the local context. All kind of projects are welcome. However, due to its facilities and expertise, ´ace pay special attention to those proposals that questions the singularity of the art object by using the reproducible capacity of printmaking, photography, new media, design and/or their interfaces, blurring their boundaries.

They sponsor six juried competitions per year. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings. Five of the annual competitions focus on geographic regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, West and Pacific Coast), and the sixth is only open to current Masters of Fine Arts candidates who are attending schools based in the United States, and current year graduates.

A new annual award aiming to support mid-career Australian artists through a unique residency, research and exhibition opportunity. Each year, one mid-career artist residing in New South Wales, Australia will be selected to participate in a fully funded six-week residency in the UK with Messums East at The Old Post Office in Lowestoft, a refurbished new arts complex on the most easterly point of the UK. The Award includes a solo exhibition at Orange Regional Gallery, Australia the following year. Out of Bounds is a journal for emerging creatives of many genres, including illustration, photography, poetry, essays, and comics. Quarterly themed calls open up, and creatives respond with unique interpretations for publication. Out of Bounds is seeking artists and authors to respond to the Spring 2026 theme of Metamorphosis. Work that is experimental, personal, and underrepresented in mainstream fine arts spaces is especially welcome here. Out of Bounds is a multi-genre anthology publication founded by Luke Mars, Bailey Smith, and Finn Smith in 2025. Issues are published digitally and in print. Accepted creatives retain all rights to their work. Out of Bounds is printed in black & white, and images must be submitted accordingly.

The Open Fund Artist Project Grant supports visual artist initiatives that are experimental, collaborative, and public-oriented. This includes wide-reaching and innovative projects that are unique to communities and the culture at large. Examples of past recipients include the presentation of creative and experimental work via film screenings, exhibition series, pop-up presentations, printed matter, educational models, and civic sites, in addition to other inventive models of artistic engagements. The Open Fund will award $180,000 in grants in 2026 to support at least 18 projects by visual artists or artist groups residing in Wisconsin. This initiative is made possible through the generous support of the Ruth Foundation for the Arts and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Regional Re-granting Program.

Carroll University’s Visual, Interactive, and Performing Arts Department (VIPA) seeks exhibition proposals for the 2026–2028 academic years. Professional and emerging artists may apply for solo or small group exhibitions. The Joyce Paddock Bliss Gallery serves as an educational resource for the Carroll University and Waukesha, WI communities. They welcome innovative proposals that contribute to a diverse cultural landscape. The Dairy Arts Center invites artists, curators, and collectives to apply for their 2027 Call for Art Exhibitions.
They are seeking bold, thoughtful exhibition proposals across all visual art mediums. Selected artists will work closely with Curator of Visual Arts Stella Witcher to develop exhibitions presented in 2027.

Their Visual Arts Program centers innovative, socially engaged, and conceptually driven work that sparks dialogue and reflects the complexity of their contemporary moment. They welcome proposals for solo or group exhibitions that challenge assumptions, expand perspectives, and invite audiences into meaningful exchange—whether through personal narrative, collective history, ecological inquiry, or boundary-pushing visual practice.

The 16th Annual Salon Art Prize, formerly the PleinAir Salon, is an online art competition with 11 monthly cycles, and is open to a variety of mediums and styles. They invite a variety of top master artists, museum directors and gallery owners to judge each month. All monthly winners (242) are automatically included in the Annual Competition where the Grand Prize Winners each receive $15,000—one featured on the cover of PleinAir Magazine and one on the cover of Fine Art Connoisseur.

In addition to over $65,000 in all cash prizes, winners receive exposure and recognition through their various magazines, websites, newsletters and social media platforms.

Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens was founded in 1946 with a mission to inspire the community through art and nature while honoring those who fought for freedom. The Museum hosts several exhibitions each year featuring work in a variety of mediums by national and international artists, in addition to annual shows highlighting art by area students. Also on display is a rotating selection of spiritual oil paintings from the Malcolm Fraser Permanent Collection in the reception gallery, and a special installation of neo-pop art by John Wilton in the stairwell gallery.

The juried Irvine Annual exhibition at Irvine Fine Arts Center showcases artworks from regional and national artists ages 18 and older who work across multiple visual artistic mediums. Media eligible for the exhibition includes assemblage, ceramic, collage, drawing, fiber, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, textile, video, and wood.
