Fusion Art announces the Colors 2026 Art Competition.

For this competition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, are invited to submit their best art and photography using a concentration of colors. One color or a multitude of colors meets the criteria for this competition.

This is an international open (no theme) competition so any subject matter and any media are acceptable. All artists, regardless of location or experience, are invited to submit their best representational and/or abstract art and photography.

Initiated in 1985 with the support of Jerome Foundation, Franklin Furnace annually awards grants to early career artists selected by peer panel review to enable them to produce major performance art works in New York City.
Artists may apply once per year as an individual, and once per year as part of a collaboration. FUND grants range between $2,000 and $10,000 based on the peer review panel allocation of funding received by Franklin Furnace.
Artists from all areas of the world are encouraged to apply; artists selected by the panel are expected to present their work in New York City. Full-time students are ineligible.

Each year, WaveMaker at Locust Projects awards a total of $60,000 in grant funding to artists, curators, and collectives across Miami-Dade County in the following three categories:

New Work / Projects: Grants up to $6,000 each to support the creation and presentation of visionary, artist-driven new work / projects.
Long-Haul Projects: Grants up to $6,000 each to support sustaining, completing, or growing visibility for long-term projects. This category recognizes the time and commitment required to pursue long-term artistic endeavors and the need for funding to inject new enegery and ideas to sustain the project.
R&D + Implementation: Grants up to $2,000 each to support research and development for ambitious new projects that take creative risks or benefit from a longer planning period. After the R&D phase, grantees have the opportunity to submit a short-form proposal for an additional $4,000 to implement their projects pending panel review.

"Inspired by the work of artist, writer and educator David Barr, Michigan Legacy Art Park provides resident artists with time, space, support and inspiration for furthering their work by offering artist residency programs. Their primary annual residency program offers a two-week stay, a small honorarium, and an opportunity to both explore the Art Park, and work in a local art studio. Non-lodging residencies for local artists are also available on a limited basis.
Summer Local Artist non-lodging residency: Between June 1 and August 31, 2026. You may choose as many or as few days as you wish. The local residency includes a $500 stipend for materials and work. Fall Residency with Lodging: Between September 1 and October 31. This is a fourteen-day residency, and you may propose to spend less time, but not more time. The Fall Residency with Lodging includes a $1500 stipend for travel, materials, groceries, etc."

The Keyholder Residency Program offers emerging artists free 24-hour access to printmaking facilities to develop new work and foster their artistic careers. It takes place in the shared Artists’ Studio, including the solvent/etching area and the darkroom.


Keyholders work independently, in a productive atmosphere alongside other contemporary artists. Artists from all disciplines are eligible to apply; printmaking skills are not required, but some familiarity with the medium is recommended. Basic instruction in printmaking techniques is available for new Keyholders. Technical assistance is not included in the program, but is available at additional cost.


Applications are evaluated by an invited panel of artists, critics, curators, and art professionals. Artists based in the New York City area and without access to a studio space are encouraged to apply.

The Mudhouse is an artist residency located in the village of Agios Ioannis on the Island of Crete, Greece. The Mudhouse Residency aims to provide artists inspiration derived from an engagement with the stunning natural beauty of its environment, solitude to foster creative growth, an artistic community to enrich professional practices, and an immersive cultural experience within a profoundly rich historical context. The General Application allows the artist to choose from three residency fee tiers. The residency fee includes accommodations, studio space and two meals each day for the two week duration of the residency. The artist is responsible for their own travel to the residency, and daily stipend for any groceries, art supplies or excursions outside of the village. Artists who are able to pay the full residency fee may select to pay $4400 in their application. Artists who require a partial fellowship to attend may select to be considered for a partial fellowship, for a residency fee of $3600. Artists who need financial aid in addition to the partial fellowship may select to be considered for the $2800 residency fee, and will be asked to perform a job during their residency session. Residency jobs include studio maintenance, exhibition crew and tech assistance. 1/3 of the residencies each year are partially funded and 1/3 of the residencies each year are partially funded with an additional stipend.

Touchstones Rochdale and Parker Harris are excited to announce the return of The Football Art Prize, an international open call celebrating the confluence between football and art.

This prestigious competition invites artists who explore the passion, drama, and unity that football inspires across the world. Open to anyone aged 18 and over, working in any two-dimensional medium (including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and moving image) the prize welcomes diverse and creative interpretations of how football shapes our lives, identities, and communities.

For its second edition, the shortlisted works will form part of a prestigious regional touring exhibition, opening at the Millennium Gallery (Sheffield Museums Trust) before travelling to the National Football Museum in Manchester - all during 2026, the year of the next iconic World Cup. The Appalachian Nature Art & Photography Competition & Exhibition is organized by the Arcadian Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland, to celebrate the beauty of nature across the Appalachian region.

This competition and exhibition has two jurors, Terry Miller for art and Steven David Johnson for photography. This competition is being organized by Arcadian Gallery owner and former Art Director of National Geographic, Christopher Sloan. Artwork or images accepted for exhibition will be shown in the in-person exhibition at the Arcadian Gallery in Cumberland, Maryland, a growing arts destination in the heart of the central Appalachians within easy reach of Washington, DC; Baltimore; and Pittsburgh.

Project grants supporting environmental art projects led by woman, transgender, and gender-nonconforming artists in the United States and U.S. Territories. Projects must focus on environmental issues and include a free public engagement component. Supports completion of existing projects already in development or phases of ongoing projects. Grant term runs from August 2026 to August 2027.

Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced contemporary artists to develop and install applied works for one or more walls in the courtyard area and/or the street-facing back wall of the courtyard at Maroondah Federation Estate. A prominent cultural and arts facility in Ringwood, the venue houses galleries, artist studios and workshops as well as function rooms available for hire. A budget of between $20,000 to $100,000 (excluding GST) is available for the commission.

Scottsdale Arts seeks proposals for large-scale temporary light-based public artworks for Canal Convergence, a free public art event featuring 10 nights of interactive art installations. The event focuses on outdoor, temporary public artworks featured in, around, and suspended above the Arizona Canal at the Scottsdale Waterfront. Selected artworks will be displayed for 10 nights with one project potentially remaining for an additional month.

Pasadena Photography Arts presents an annual award for emerging photographers with residence in the United States. The organization seeks cohesive bodies of work between 10-20 images with an accompanying statement. All photography mediums are accepted including analogue, digital, portrait, abstract, mixed-media, documentary, street photography, conceptual, still-life photography, landscape, alternative photography, and cell phone photography. The Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize will be held at the Fleurieu Arthouse in the heart of McLaren Vale from 5 June – 5 July 2026. The Gallery at Graphite Arts Center (Edmonds, WA) is seeking artwork for the upcoming exhibition ‘36 x Fixed by Dimension.’ Graphite invites artists to think BIG. Scale can change everything. Graphite Arts Center seeks works for the upcoming show 36 x Fixed by Dimension which invites artists to see what happens when scale is not a requirement to be solved, but a catalyst for inspired artistic reaction. All submitted works must measure 36 inches in at least one direction. The exhibition 36 x Fixed by Dimension considers what happens when a single dimensional constraint becomes an open framework for inquiry. The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists (WFF HSG) provides grants of $30,000, distributed over three years, to NYC-based visual artists in need who are seeking support for stable housing. In its second cycle, the WFF HSG will award grants to five artists.

The WFF Housing Stability Grant for Artists is offered in recognition of the increasing unaffordability of rental housing in New York City, and that housing insecurity diminishes artists’ ability to meet their highest potential as creators. Its goal is to improve artists’ housing stability, through a $30,000 grant that is distributed over three years. The WFF HSG hopes that recipients will be able to remain in, or find, reliable and stable housing for at least three years, thereby allowing them to focus on their creative practice and build more sustainable careers. These grants are designed to provide supplemental support towards artists’ long-term housing budgets, rather than provide the primary source of funding for immediate housing needs.

CityCenterDC invites artists & designers to submit their entries for a public art installation in Palmer Alley to Celebrate 250 Years of American Style. The work should offer a clear and compelling interpretation of American style. Entries may draw from fashion, graphic language, identity, cultural symbolism, movement, or material exploration. What matters most is a strong visual idea that reads clearly in an open, public setting and holds together at scale.

The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers.

The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities.

Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

Resident groups are intentionally kept small enough (8-10 people) to gather around the dinner table each evening, Tuesday through Friday, for delicious vegetarian meals prepared by our chef. These communal meals are an essential part of the Hambidge residency experience. Serious topics are discussed (and light-hearted ones, too), experiences are shared, and encouragement is given. Many a collaboration and life-long friendship have begun at the Hambidge dinner table.

The LFC Artist-in-Residence program welcomes creators who wish to develop an artistic project in a school setting. The program is fully funded, covering travel expenses, housing accommodations, and providing stipends to support the artist's work and living expenses during the residency period.

The Al & Mickey Quinlan Residency is an application-based 8-week program for emerging and mid-career Midwest artists focused in the areas of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, created and led in partnership with the Miller Art Museum. The Artist Program supports the development and presentation of creative works as they relate to Martin House. The Museum of Outdoor Arts (“MOA”), based in Greenwood Village, Colorado, announces its 7th Annual National Design and Build Competition, inviting undergraduate students, graduate students and interdisciplinary teams in art, architecture, landscape architecture, design, and related disciplines to submit conceptual design proposals. This year’s theme, “Soundscapes in Structure,” challenges participants to design a state-of-the-art amphitheater bandshell that merges acoustic excellence with bold visual identity. This competition represents the next evolution in MOA’s annual Design and Build Competition and challenges entrants to explore the intersection of architectural innovation and geometric harmony within the context of a live performance space.

Sedona Arts Center (SAC) invites teens ages 15 to 18 to apply for Gallery 928 — a unique art apprenticeship program that pairs students with a master artist to create a public art mural for the Center.

Modeled after Chicago’s renowned Gallery 37 program, Gallery 928 engages aspiring artists in hands-on learning that builds both creative and professional skills. Apprentices gain experience in the public art process — from concept to completion — while developing teamwork, leadership, and presentation abilities.

Up to 12 students will be selected. Each will receive a $500 stipend from Sedona Arts Center and 3 free college credits through Yavapai College. Participants also learn practical career skills such as resume building and public speaking, preparing them for future opportunities in the arts. Applicants must submit an online application, two letters of reference, and images of recent artwork.

The Grants for Visual Artists award provides direct support to under-recognized artists 21 years or older. Applications are evaluated on quality of work, potential to expand aesthetic inquiry, and ability to fulfill the Foundation's priority to provide support to visual artists who are under-recognized by the field. Grants support development of artists' work and may be used for any activity toward that purpose.

The 3pts Artists & Makers Impact Fund is a $3,500 award supporting U.S.-based artists and makers who create tangible objects or goods and are working to sustain and grow a business. Funding may be used for materials, equipment, workspace costs, professional development, production expenses, or other needs that strengthen an artist or maker’s practice.

The COAL Prize 2026 invites artists to defend the night as a common good and major ecological issue for life regeneration. The prize supports artistic projects addressing ecological challenges through the theme of night. Ten projects are shortlisted annually by a committee of professionals. The winner receives funding and a creative residency at the Domaine de Belval estate, a rural observatory hosting artists selected for their contribution to renewing perspectives on human-nature relationships. Additional prizes include the Special Jury Prize, Ateliers Médicis residency mention, and Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles/Paris mention with exhibition opportunities.

For this online group exhibition, they invite artists to submit any artwork that celebrates the boundary breaking creation technique of combining various forms of art. Mixing and combining different forms and styles of art can allow artists to express their vision without restraints. Mixed Media art can also inspire and challenge the viewer.

Come to the beautiful mountain town of Prescott, Arizona and paint the pine forests, boulder-lined highland lakes and historic architecture.

A new annual award aiming to support mid-career Australian artists through a unique residency, research and exhibition opportunity. Each year, one mid-career artist residing in New South Wales, Australia will be selected to participate in a fully funded six-week residency in the UK with Messums East at The Old Post Office in Lowestoft, a refurbished new arts complex on the most easterly point of the UK. The Award includes a solo exhibition at Orange Regional Gallery, Australia the following year. The Award supports artists who engage with the landscape and/or environment to evolve their creative practice.

The Dairy Arts Center invites artists, curators, and collectives to apply for their 2027 Call for Art Exhibitions.
They are seeking bold, thoughtful exhibition proposals across all visual art mediums. Selected artists will work closely with Curator of Visual Arts Stella Witcher to develop exhibitions presented in 2027.

Their Visual Arts Program centers innovative, socially engaged, and conceptually driven work that sparks dialogue and reflects the complexity of their contemporary moment. They are particularly interested in projects rooted in storytelling, cultural inquiry, community connection, and experimental approaches to material and form.

They welcome proposals for solo or group exhibitions that challenge assumptions, expand perspectives, and invite audiences into meaningful exchange—whether through personal narrative, collective history, ecological inquiry, or boundary-pushing visual practice.

They sponsor six juried competitions per year. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings. Five of the annual competitions focus on geographic regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, West and Pacific Coast), and the sixth is only open to current Masters of Fine Arts candidates who are attending schools based in the United States, and current year graduates.

´ace offers micro-residencies in Argentina for artists working in expanded art practices including visual arts, performance art, sound art, and curatorial projects. The program focuses on physical and digital practices with special interest in proposals that make use of various medium or dissolve borders between them. Residents receive studio space, housing, welcome meals, city transportation card, insurance, and open studio presentation opportunities. The program includes printmaking workshop facilities and access to Buenos Aires cultural community.

The Production Residencies aims to support emerging and career artists within the Visual Arts for the production/creation of either new works (which may include an exhibition / a site specific installation) or a work in progress adapted for the local context. All kind of projects are welcome. However, due to its facilities and expertise, ´ace pay special attention to those proposals that questions the singularity of the art object by using the reproducible capacity of printmaking, photography, new media, design and/or their interfaces, blurring their boundaries.
