Qualifications are requested from artists interested in creating an artwork for the Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway. This project, led by the Office of Governor Polis, is a visionary project connecting the Capitol Complex to Lincoln Veterans Park in Denver, CO. The project is dedicating up to $2 million for the commission of multiple artworks. The deadline to apply is April 1, 2025.

Arts Letters & Numbers is a year-round Artist Residency providing a creative sanctuary in the historic Faith Mills Complex in rural Upstate New York. The residency fosters an environment of creative urgency and collaboration, offering inspiring spaces like a warm Victorian home, a white barn, and textile mills turned into studios, all surrounded by woods, lakes, and opportunities for connection. Residents have the freedom to shape their workspace and rhythms while engaging in shared meals, bonfire conversations, and community programming, including open studios, workshops, exhibitions, and more. With seasonal residencies lasting 1 to 12 weeks, the program welcomes artists to explore their work and contribute to the inclusive dialogue through proposed projects such as performances or lectures. 

Since 1960, the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts has partnered with the Montgomery Art Guild to present a biennial exhibition of contemporary regional art in the museum’s galleries. This 46th edition of the exhibit will present paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, ceramics, photographs, computer graphics, mixed media, fiber art, and fine crafts by some of Alabama's most talented contemporary artists. So far, they have raised over $8,000 for cash awards for artists! This year's exhibit is based on the theme “Home” and can include realistic or abstract works inspired by characteristics or living conditions of their home state, Alabama. This year's Juror is Jade Powers, Hugh Kaul Curator of Contemporary Art of the Birmingham Museum of Art in Birmingham, Alabama.

Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR) is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 which brings lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex and queer identifying emerging visual artists to Fire Island— a place long-steeped in LGBTQ history— to create, commune, rest, reflect and contribute to the location's rich artistic history. Each summer FIAR provides free live/work space to visual artists who work, socialize, and immerse themselves in the Fire Island community for four weeks, during which time they are visited by renowned artists and scholars, who interact with residents through intimate studio visits, dinners, and discussions, providing support and feedback. The greater Fire Island community, as well as visitors from New York City and Long Island, are invited to attend free public lectures by these esteemed guests.

Photographers are invited to study the relationship between geometry and architecture, capturing the visual harmony and tension that geometric forms create within the built environment. This exhibition seeks to showcase images that highlight the structure, symmetry, and rhythm found in architectural design. Through the lens of geometry, submissions should reveal how space and form interact, whether through the bold simplicity of modern architecture or the intricate details of classical design. This is an opportunity to showcase the power of geometric design in architecture through a photographic lens, revealing its influence on both form and function.

CACE (Center for Art and Community Enrichment) Gallery of Fine Art is a privately funded initiative of Morgan Community College. Now in its thirteenth year, the Gallery hosts juried art exhibits featuring local, regional and national artists. Admission is free and open to the public Monday through Friday during regular business hours. In addition to regular business hours, the Gallery has extended hours on scheduled Third Thursday Art Walks, artist receptions, and other special occasions and community events throughout the year. Art objects are to be of original concept and design. The Phipps Center for the Arts invites artists to submit work for Human x Machine: Exploring Art in the Age of AI, an exhibition that examines the intersections of creativity, technology, and humanity that will take place in the Phipps galleries, September 12-November 2, 2025. This exhibition will include a wide range of perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the artistic process, from the full embrace of generative AI to artwork that pointedly rejects any AI interventions. The show will explore themes of collaboration, innovation, ethics, and identity.

The Photo Trouvée Artist Residency is a 10 week virtual program led by Juliana Naufel & Twiggy Boyer--founders of Photo Trouvée Magazine-- in which artists are invited to set goals, carve out time for their art practice, focus on a project and connect with like-minded artists from around the world. Only 9 slots will be available and there is an application process to join the Spring 2025 cohort.

Their goal is to commission an artist or artist team to create a sculpture that will become a vibrant addition of the sculptural fabric of their town. The Selection Committee will consider entries in all durable media worthy for outdoor installation, and will consider all stylistic variations, including realism, figurative, multi-media, kinetic and environmental works that push the boundaries of sculpture itself. They encourage a broad diversity of artists and encourage applicants from historically marginalized and underrepresented communities including artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latino/x, Asian American, people with disabilities, and members of the (LGBTQIA2S+) communities. HOST also encourages applicants at various stages in their career and applicants practicing a variety of artistic disciplines.

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit complete applications to the Manifest Artist Residency program (MAR) located in the vibrant historic urban neighborhoods of East Walnut Hills and Clifton in Cincinnati, Ohio. Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis. Awards consist of 24/7 use of a private studio, free programming at Manifest Drawing Center, teaching consideration, public exposure, free entry to Manifest calls for entry, potential inclusion in a final showcase exhibit and end of season Manifest Exhibition Annual publication, as well as the presentation of a public artist talk at or near the conclusion of the Residency. UAB/Birmingham Museum of Art Fellows are graduate students in the Art History department at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, who have already developed an area of concentration within their studies. The Fellowship gives students the opportunity to spend one year working in the Curatorial department at the Museum. It is designed to provide in-depth experience in the workings of a museum and in the nature of curatorial work. Fellows are assigned specific projects and duties based on the needs of the department and work directly with the Museum’s Curatorial staff. The UAB/BMA Curatorial Fellowship begins and ends in August of each year.

The goal of the 2025 Macon Mural Festival (MMF) is to brand Macon, GA as a vibrant and creative destination. This year, they are looking for artists to participate in this 3-day event. Each participating artist will be given a prepped wall to complete their mural and a $1,500 stipend plus $500 for supplies. The Festival will also provide lodging for all artists. Murals can be open theme but must be approved by the business that sponsors the wall. To kick off the festival, artists will arrive in Macon, GA on Thursday, September 11th. The festival will host a kick-off breakfast on Friday, September 12th, and then artists will have all day Friday and Saturday to complete their murals.

A narrative thread braids a story together, creating cohesion and building tension. Events, characters, and themes are woven together through a beginning, middle, and end. What story will your artwork tell us? A fantasy, a tragedy, or perhaps…a romance? They welcome a broad interpretation of the theme. All varieties of fiber artists are encouraged to apply. Show dates are May 15th - June 20th. The opening reception is May 17th, 1 - 3pm. Artists 18 and older from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin are invited to apply.

The Howard County Arts Council (HCAC) invited applications for exhibition proposals. The HCAC manages two galleries at the Howard County Center for the Arts with over 21,000 square feet of exhibit space. The HCAC gallery program was established to enhance the public's appreciation of the visual arts, provide a venue to exhibit the work of local, regional, and national artists in a professional space, and provide leadership in the arts by presenting a broad spectrum of arts in all media from both emerging and established artists. HCAC presents 11-12 exhibits per year of national, regional, and local artists, including two-person, small and large group, juried, curated, and community shows. HCAC rarely exhibits solo shows.

AiR Hamsa has now evolved into fonduq.essaouira, with a different, and more unique location. Fonduq is an ancient hostelry, an inn for the camel caravans coming to the port of Mogador, now Essaouira, from across the Sahara in Mali and beyond. They are situated in the ancient Medina, in the fascinating labyrinth that thrives inside the walls. Essaouira is known for its music with the famous Gnaoua festival, and for its visual arts in particular. There are also many crafts and artisanal workshops where things are still made by hand. It is inspiring for many disciplines, and they have hosted musicians, writers, mosaicists, painters and installation artists.

Grants are offered to American painters aged 45 or older who demonstrate financial need. The primary emphasis is to promote public awareness and a commitment to American art, as well as encouraging interest in painters who lack adequate recognition. A jury made up of three art historians, artists, curators, and critics will review the applications in the late spring. Applicants will be notified no later than July 1, 2025.

The Department of Art at Pittsburg State University welcomes Solo and Group Exhibition Proposals for the 2025-2026 academic year. Pittsburg State University Department of Art, located in Porter Hall has two galleries, University Gallery and Harry Krug Gallery. The University Gallery offers 900 square feet of space with 120 linear feet of wall space. The Harry Krug Gallery has approximately 100 square feet of wall space. The Yavapai College Art Gallery in Prescott, Arizona seeks solo-exhibition proposals for its occasional series One Gallery/Two Exhibitions. All mediums will be considered. The YC Visual Arts Department Gallery Committee will select two exhibition proposals, and both solo exhibitions will be featured at Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus Art Gallery from June 11 to August 25, 2025. Each artist will fill about half of their 2,332 square feet of exhibition space (1792 sq/ft of gallery space with a 540 sq/ft movable wall system). The exhibitions will be separated with distinctive titles, labels, lettering and signage. The public exhibition at the YC Prescott Campus Gallery will include a joint opening reception and artist talks, as well as online and print-media promotion.

Art In the Orchard is a walking sculpture trail which winds through Park Hill Orchard's productive fruit gardens. The self-guided trail is about a half-mile long. A walk through the labyrinth adds about a quarter mile. Estimated viewing time might be 2-4 hours. Open all daylight hours from August 12 until Thanksgiving weekend. CWA was founded in 1929 when 20 women artists planned exhibition opportunities for women artists at a time when there were none. They first exhibited in Hartford, CT. at the nation’s first art museum founded in 1842: The Wadsworth Atheneum. CWA is one of the oldest continuing women’s art organizations and is still going strong and growing toward its upcoming centenary. Carolinas Rehabilitation is looking for local and regional artists (North and South Carolina) to submit pieces to be hung in their newly renovated, high-traffic space. Every three months the gallery will be filled with new art, chosen by a committee. The artists chosen for each time period will be able to display 3 pieces of art. They are looking for art that creates a positive and welcome distraction for their patients and visitors.

This is a busy lobby and connects to their flagship hospital. The campus is 4 million square feet. This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to showcase their talent while gaining tremendous exposure. Proposals for your submissions should inspire positive reflection with a focus on community; health, hope and healing.

The Something New program is a dynamic public art experience as well as an ongoing opportunity for sculptors to exhibit their work. The exhibit places sculptures in five outdoor locations in downtown Winslow on beautiful Bainbridge Island. The five locations are located inside the boundaries of the Bainbridge Creative District. The state of Washington now hosts 13 Certified Creative Districts, which are defined as a walkable neighborhood designated hub for creative sector jobs, tourist, and cultural activities.

The Project Studio Program is a one year private studio rented to professional fine artists residing within the New York City metropolitan area. Students are not eligible for the program.

Being outside is so engaging and transformative that people have invented numerous ways to access it. Activities like hiking, biking, climbing or skiing are experiences that are life-giving to many. It is no surprise that these inspiring experiences are also the activities of some artists due to the exposure to the wonders and beauty of the natural world. Artists are also attuned to the rewards that come from pushing past creative boundaries, which is not unlike the physical boundaries that are often needed to be pushed when playing outside. This show celebrates artists who vocalize their passion for playing in the outdoors within their art and reveal to us the meaningfulness when the two are fused.

Applicants will usually have completed a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art or a related subject, but this is not essential; relevant experience or qualifications will be taken into account. Applicants are expected to show a strong portfolio of work demonstrating a commitment to drawing and a level of artistic professionalism appropriate for study at postgraduate level. Applicants must fill out the application form online which includes uploading 20 images of work, and submit two sketchbooks to the School to be considered during selection (please read the detailed guidelines below). If the applicant is successful in selection they must be prepared to be interviewed and bring all works included in their digital portfolio to the School.

Renaissance Box, a residency program by Kaiser Studios, fosters collaboration between artists and STEM professionals, creating opportunities to explore the intersection of creativity, innovation, and community impact. This program is designed for artists who are eager to engage with scientific concepts and develop work that bridges disciplines in transformative ways. Located in Cleveland, a city renowned for its vibrant arts community and rich history of scientific and industrial innovation, Renaissance Box offers a unique environment for interdisciplinary exploration. Participants in the residency benefit from dedicated studio space, a stipend, and opportunities to showcase their work through exhibitions, talks, and panels. The program also includes tours of cultural and scientific organizations, along with networking events to support both the creative process and meaningful community engagement.

The Keller Public Arts Board is seeking six sculptures that are appropriate for public viewing and support the family-friendly atmosphere of the City of Keller. Sculptures remain under the artist’s ownership and are loaned to the exhibit for a two-year period. All sculptures must be “family appropriate” and pose no risk to public safety; no sexual, bloody or violent content shall be accepted. Sculptures must be made of materials that can withstand the harsh Texas weather and require no maintenance by the City of Keller. Pieces sold while on display may be removed but the artist must replace the sold artwork with a different sculpture, with approval by the Board, within 60 days of removal of the sold piece.

This grant provides Minnesota-based early career film directors, working in short and/or long form experimental, narrative, animation or documentary genres, or in any hybrid combination of these forms, up to $10,000 to engage in self-designed mentorship with experienced directors or other film professionals to strengthen their film directing craft and/or professional skills in connection with a specific film project. The Foundation seeks to fund filmmakers who take creative risks, seek innovative approaches, have a clarity of purpose and vision for imaginative storytelling, are engaged directly with those involved in their filmmaking, and work to build relationships with and impact their creative community and the field. Applications are due Thursday, April 3 before 4 pm Central.

In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, Creative Capital expands its support of individual artists with the 2026 Open Call for the Creative Capital Award and the launch of the new State of the Art Prize. The Creative Capital Award provides individual artists with unrestricted project grants for the creation of bold, innovative, original, and imaginative new artistic works. In addition to unrestricted project grants from $15,000 up to $50,000, the Award offers transformative professional development support including strategic advising, peer mentorship, industry connections, and community-building opportunities. Grants are awarded via a national, democratic, open call, external review process. The State of the Art Prize aims to recognize and support one artist from every U.S. state and inhabited territory with an unrestricted artist grant of $10,000.

The City of Whittlesea is seeking an artist to design and install a mural in the newly built Murnong Community Centre that engages with and compliments the diverse and growing community. The artwork and its design will speak to the broad theme of diversity informed by community engagement and consultation. A more detailed brief will be supplied to the successful artist. The artwork will cover approximately 35m2 and be installed on an internal wall above a prominent entry and exit point in the public community lounge.

This “Call for Qualification” is seeking Professional Artists who wish to be considered by the Town of Danville for a commissioned artwork that will be admired for years. The Town of Danville has ventured into temporary public art pieces and is now working to establish its first permanent public art exhibit, Acorns of the Old Oak. The exhibit would consist of placing small bronze, three-dimensional acorn sculptures in Downtown Danville where they would be placed at town-owned facilities and/or historic building sites. These acorns would be homage to Danville’s iconic Old Oak Tree, a symbol of stability and strength in the Town.

What are the innovative forms, ideas, and themes happening right now in artistic creation in the Midwest? Open to all artists residing in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin, the South Bend Museum of Art’s Biennial 33 will present contemporary artwork in all media. Selected artists are asked to exhibit a body of work, or other presentation modality (site specific installation, projection reel, performance etc.), that gives a comprehensive look into their creative studio practice. $1,500 in awards will be selected by the juror and $1,500 in purchase awards will be chosen by the South Bend Museum of Art’s Collections Committee. A color brochure of exhibiting artists will also be produced. There is a $10 entry fee to apply.

The Pence Gallery announces that its Emerging Artist Award 2025 is now open. This award supports the creation of new work by emerging artists in California and the opportunity to share that work through an exhibit and an artist talk in January to February 2026. Artists must use the award of $4000 to further their work in a significant direction and may work in any medium, except for video or sound art. The deadline is 4/4/25 by 9 PM PST.

ARD is an art institution founded by Hana El-Beblawy in 2022 and specialized in the field of contemporary art practices within the local and international art scene. The program includes artistic residencies, exhibitions, workshops, and other art alternatives. With its prime location in Garden City, central Cairo, which is a residential, affluent neighborhood with broad, tree-lined streets home to foreign embassies, grand private mansions and unique architecture. Thunderdomesticity: Witness Me is a national juried exhibition designed to honor the strength of women (including but not limited to: cis women, trans women, non-binary, two-spirit, and gender fluid people) during dystopian times. All artists from the United States, regardless of gender, are invited to submit one or two high quality photographs of their art before the deadline of April 4, 2025. Witness Me is the 4th annual Thunderdomesticity exhibition, and it will feature artwork that is post-apocalyptic, feminist, and everything in between. The juror of this exhibition is Klaire Lockheart, host of the Femininity in the Post-Apocalypse podcast. There is no entry fee to submit artwork, but artists will pay a $30 printing fee for each accepted image.

Entries are now open for Georges River Council’s biennial Georges River Art Prize, with over $20,000 in prize money. Hosted by Hurstville Museum & Gallery and the Clive James Library and Service Centre, Kogarah, the art prize showcases national artworks of various media, exploring subject matter that reflects contemporary art practice in Australia. There are categories for painting, sculpture, children and youth, and local artists. Entries for the 2025 Georges River Art Prize open on Monday 3 February 2025 and close on Friday 4 April 2025 at midnight.

Tend. Verb. Meaning to move in a specific direction. Or, to exhibit a specific inclination. Or, to pay attention to, to care for, to cultivate, to stand by. Tend seeks to explore the power of gardens as agents of beauty, hope, and resilience through artistic observations/interpretations of such spaces. They especially want to see work that explores gardens as places for generative spiritual care of persons, places, plants, animals, etc.

The “Mentors and Guiding Hands” is an in-person juried exhibition at the Visual and Performing Arts Center (VAPA) in Charlotte, North Carolina. This exhibition seeks to celebrate the profound impact of mentors and the helping hands that shape personal and professional journeys. The Dome House and the Miller Art Museum are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2025 Dome House Al & Mickey Quinlan Artist Residency, a unique opportunity for Midwest visual artists to immerse themselves in the creative landscape of Door County, Wisconsin. The Woodman Family Foundation Housing Stability Grant for Artists (WFF HSG) provides grants of $30,000, distributed over three years, to NYC-based visual artists in need who are seeking support for stable housing. In its inaugural cycle, the WFF HSG will award grants to five artists. The WFF Housing Stability Grant for Artists is offered in recognition of the increasing unaffordability of rental housing in New York City, and the housing insecurity it creates for artists. Its goal is to improve artists’ housing stability, through a $30,000 grant that is distributed over three years. The WFF HSG hopes that recipients will be able to remain in, or find, reliable and stable housing for at least three years, thereby allowing them to focus on their creative practice and build more sustainable careers.

Designed for artists of all career stages, the Artists-in-Residence Program is an immersive studio experience awarded to six individuals each year. The program prioritizes time and space for residents to engage fully in their creative practice, experiment, and pursue new projects and ideas. MidPen Housing is seeking a Bay Area artist or artist team to create an original mural that pays homage to the legacy of Ira D. Hall, the building’s namesake. They are not looking for traditional illustration or documentation of this individual’s life, but rather an artist who can tap into the energy and interpret through imagery. Ira D. Hall embodied a life of public service, a variety of careers, as well as a deep interest in art. The artwork spans two floors of the building’s east façade and is visible from the street for cars or pedestrians. And Still it Remains: A Long COVID Exhibition, was conceptualized by an RN/artist who is a Long COVID survivor. They are using this exhibition to bring more public and medical awareness to Long COVID and create a sense of community among Long COVID survivors. 2020 changed the course of many people’s lives in the US and around the world with the devastating COVID-19 pandemic. Long COVID or long-haul COVID is a group of health problems persisting or developing after an initial period of COVID-19 infection. Many artists and creatives have been affected by this. So with the opportunity to create artwork about their experiences, they welcome those who have been affected by Long COVID or who are still living with it, to apply to this exhibition.

The Wildflower Sculpture Park at South Mountain Conservancy, in partnership with the Essex County Parks Department, invites artists to submit proposals for its 2025 outdoor exhibition. The city of Aurora, CO is seeking a sculpture/art installation that will bring together the many voices of Aurora in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the state of Colorado (the Centennial State) and the 250th anniversary of the United States of America. Within Colorado this event is called the Sesquisemiquincentennial. It culminates on July 4, 2026, with events continuing through the end of 2026. Beyond the many temporary events, this public artwork in Aurora will provide a lasting perspective on this significant moment in time.

City of Lynnwood, WA is looking for up to 4 artists, or artist teams to create 4 sets of murals at the jail in our Community Justice Center (CJC). Selected artists/teams will design and paint the murals. They encourage artists with their own or a love one’s lived experience related to the justice system, to apply. The Lynnwood jail is a new, 86-bed facility that serves as a misdemeanor-only detention center, offering advanced technology and space for both staff and inmates. This facility is designed to ensure humane treatment and support for inmates, while maintaining the safety and security of the community and corrections personnel.

The artist will be paid $3,425 for the design of each mural, for a total of up to $27,400 for all eight murals. This payment is inclusive of all artist’s fees. The selected artist shall receive one-half of the honorarium upon execution of contract. The second half of the honorarium shall be disbursed after the murals have been approved by the subcommittee. The goal of the project is to add eight murals that are artistically interesting and family-friendly. The subcommittee seeks digital designs that are original and that complement the overarching theme of this project.

It has made its place as the exhibition recognized globally as setting the standard for avian art. Holyoke Paper Festival is a celebration of arts and culture recognizing the historic significance of Holyoke, MA as The Paper City. HPF will hold a one-day exhibition of fine art and feature tours, workshops, and more.

The Vicky Bunsen Sculpture Garden, located in Historic Westminster, is a community jewel that contributes to the cultural identity of the Historic Westminster Arts District. The Downtown Westminster Art Walk is a new feature of the downtown area and provides a walkable experience that connects with the city's Fuse Box Art Gallery and other art installations in the downtown area.

Each summer Rochester Contemporary Art Center’s 6x6 exhibition brings together thousands of original artworks, made and donated by celebrities, international & local artists, designers, youth and YOU. Each artist may enter up to four artworks of any medium except glitter (2D or 3D). Artworks must be six inches square (15cm) and signed only on the back, to be exhibited anonymously. Participation is free. All artworks will be exhibited and for sale to the public for $20 each to benefit RoCo. Artists’ names will be revealed to the buyer upon purchase and all artworks remain on display through the end of the exhibition on July 20.

The Anonymous Was A Woman Environmental Art Grants (AWAW EAG) provides grants of up to $20,000 to environmental art projects led by women-identifying artists in the United States and US Territories.

The AWAW EAG supports environmental art projects that inspire thought, action, and ethical engagement. Projects should not only point at problems, but aim to engage an environmental issue at some scale. Proposals should illustrate thorough consideration of a project’s ecological and social ethics. Projects that explore interdependence, relationships, and systems through Indigenous and ancestral practices are encouraged to apply.

The City of Pompano Beach will commission an artist/artist team for a work for hire project for the design and installation of a mural located on the east exterior wall at 1591 E. Atlantic Blvd. The mural should depict themes of Pompano Beach and the surrounding area including ideas like fishing, boating, beaches, and sunny blue skies. The wall is approximately 1450 square feet.

The City of Pompano Beach is looking to commission an artist/artist team for a work for hire project to design and fabricate a sculpture that will be displayed at the beach for a one year. After a year, it will be submerged into the ocean and attached to Lady Luck in Shipwreck Park. It will be the selected artist’s responsibility to work with South Florida Diving Headquarters to sink and attach the sculpture.

The Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf awards residency fellowships to artists and writers. The residency fellowship lasts for three months and is granted for the periods March to May, June to August, and September to November. In addition to room and board at Schloss Wiepersdorf, all fellows also receive a monthly cash stipend of €1200 and a one-time grant of €480 to cover material expenses. German or English proficiency is required of all applicants. Basic German language skills would be helpful for a successful residence.

The Nightingale Gallery of Eastern Oregon University in La Grande invites submissions from artists living and working in the Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and northern California). All disciplines (with the exception of film/video and performance) are welcome. The gallery hosts a variety of programming focused on contemporary art by professional artists from the Northwest. The Hambidge Center is situated on 600 forested acres in the mountains of north Georgia and offers miles of nature trails, meadows, waterfalls, a swimming hole and an abundance of wildflowers. The oldest residency program in the Southeast, Hambidge provides a self-directed program that honors the creative process and trusts individuals to know what they need to cultivate their talent, whether it’s to work and produce, to think, to experiment or to rejuvenate. Residents’ time is their own; there are no workshops, critiques, nor required activities. Each resident is given their own private studio which provides work and living space with a bathroom and full kitchen. The studios are designed to protect residents’ time, space and solitude.

Twelve winning images will be professionally printed, matted, and framed at no cost to the photographer. Each print will be displayed and offered for sale for one month at the gallery between June 2025 and May 2026. Alla Prima or ‘all at once’ is generally a wet-in-wet, direct painting approach that has been used by countless artists. Still life is an ideal genre for this approach because it allows artists to learn to control all the elements —the objects, environment, and lightning. Oil color is the quintessential choice for all prima painting (as it stays ‘open’ much longer), but acrylic, watercolor, and gouache are acceptable. Open to all levels.

Each class will include short lectures, demonstrations and lessons based on harmonic composition, color contrasts, and paint handling. There will also be instructional review of each students work. The Attleboro Arts Museum, a prominent cultural institution between Boston and Providence, invites U.S. artists to submit work for its 2025 National Juried Exhibition, Reign, Rain, Rein. The Worcester Center for Crafts is a non-profit community-based arts organization committed to sustaining craft as a vital part of their community. Established in 1856 as the Worcester Employment Society, the Worcester Center for Crafts is an organization that still sees the value of craft in improving the quality of life for Worcester residents. In the early days, the Center forged its tradition of economic empowerment through craft by teaching the skills necessary to create and sell handmade crafts primarily to immigrants and immigrant women. Ceramic Botanica is held in the Handcrafted shop and all items are entered into their store-inventory under the guidelines of the gallery store consignment contract.

All the Fixins: Artists from the South is a juried exhibition showcasing the phenomenal artistic talent of artists living and working in the South. All the Fixins will be on view at the Reeves House Visual Arts Center in Woodstock, GA from May 15, 2025 - July 12, 2025. Guest jurors will review artist submissions to determine which work will be shown and which artworks will receive awards. An opening reception will take place on Thursday, May 15th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, which is when award recipients will be announced.

The Summer Youth Apprenticeship was founded on the importance of passing on the history of Sloss and the many techniques and traditions of metal art. This paid, 8 week program, employs 10-15 high school students, aged 16-19, to work and study under professional artists for 30 hours per week. Students are introduced to a variety of processes and techniques in an interactive, individualized environment. While being introduced to new techniques, the apprentices will create an array of work from tiles and medallions to bookends and light switch covers to be sold in the Sloss Museum Store in support of the program. For their final projects, they will submit a professional proposal and maquette and spend the final 2 weeks executing their final sculpture.

The 31st annual The View, a juried exhibition for Ohio artists presenting landscape or land imagery, environmental themes and world issues. Entries must be original works in any media (2-D or 3-D), completed within the last four years. Jurying will take place from digital images. Work previously exhibited at Rosewood is not eligible. The Arts Council Korea (ARKO) has launched a new International Art Studio program for 2025 to promote global artistic activity and cultural exchange.

The COAL Prize 2025 dedicated to fresh water is a call to fight against the drying up of the sensitivities towards WATER, to elevate it to its rightful place at the heart of general attention, to rehabilitate it in its symbolic and sacred prerogatives, to consider it as the ally and partner of existence. The winning artist of the COAL Prize will receive €12,000 and a creative residency. The winning artist of the Special Jury Prize receives
3,000 euros. The winner of the Ateliers Médicis award will benefit from a residency in Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil, in association with the Bondy regional forest. The winning artist in the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles/ Paris aka le vaisseau award receives 2,000 euros and will be invited to exhibit at the Paris institution.

This virtual exhibition asks the question: How can gestation be framed as a creative act? Inspired by Sophie Lewis’s writing Amniotechnics, this exhibition aims to highlight aspects of gestation that can mirror or spur creative practice. Oregon Contemporary Artists’ Biennial is open to those living in, born in, educated in, or a previous resident of Oregon. It is a survey of works by artists who are defining and advancing Oregon’s contemporary art landscape. Curated by TK Smith, the 2026 biennial will explore interconnected themes of place, power, and promise, as they relate to complex relationships with the land, histories, and the Oregon nations. This exhibition will act as a response to the 250-year anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Since its signing, there have been long and violent battles to combat the restriction of American’s “unalienable rights” and the denial of full citizenship, often fought by the most vulnerable.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery announces the 15th Annual “Seascapes” Online Art Competition.

The gallery invites both 2D and 3D artists (including photography & digital art), regardless of where they reside, to apply to this competition by submitting their best representational or abstract art.

The “Seascapes” theme is the artist’s interpretation and depiction of seascape art. Seascape subjects would include scenes of coastal living, any ocean activities, seaside vistas and any related seashore subjects.

The Big Gay Art Show is a juried art show that exhibits and sells artwork in support of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The Big Gay Art Show is a much anticipated, well attended exhibition open to all artists in any medium and of any level. In 2012, the Big Gay Art Show was conceptualized by a small group – some connected to SAC and others in the Sedona Pride organization. The event began as an effort to offer the LGBTQ+ community a voice in the local art scene. Since that first show, SAC has welcomed hundreds of emerging and professional artists to Sedona to share their work throughout the history of the event. All art mediums will be accepted.

The LUX Center for the Arts, Lincoln's community art center located in Lincoln, NE, is looking for artists to present exhibition applications for the fiscal year beginning in summer of 2025.

Each year the LUX opens up the opportunity for artists to submit exhibition proposals for review. A group of selected jurors from the staff, committee and community, will review all applications and proposals.

Selected artists will be contacted to discuss timing and details of their potential inclusion. Artists may be selected to show their work as an individual artist, or may be contacted to show their work in a group show with other selected artists.

For this online group exhibition, they invite artists to submit any artwork that was inspired by their sense of home. Whether good, or bad, a home base shapes the person one becomes. Home not only means a physical place; it can also be a state of mind. The feel of a fabric, the scent of a spice, or sound of a note can bring people back to a time and place.

The photographic, digital and video works that will be selected for the collective exhibition scheduled for July 2025 and curated by LoosenArt will be focused on the theme of rites. The rite is understood as a recurrent practice, conducted with seriousness and commitment through a prescribed procedure that gives it validity. This call is open to works related to ritual practices that testify to its wider functions, from sacred to social ones, and from the family-biographical to psychological and introspective ones.

The residency is open to any serious visual artist working in any medium and will take place at St Mary’s of the Lake, the Paulist Fathers summer house located on beautiful Lake George in upstate New York– accessible by car/bus/train. During the residency artists will have ample space and time to work on their own. Each afternoon artists will gather to discuss their work and other topics for one hour followed by dinner. Each artist will be provided with a private room with shared bathrooms and 3 meals daily for $100 per day. Scholarships are available and should be requested in the application.

Attention Northern Michigan Artists! You are invited to submit a sculpture for placement in the Jordan Art Walk exhibit in East Jordan Michigan. Their goal is to integrate works of art into their city’s natural environment that will engage and resonate with their citizens and visitors. Have your art seen by locals and area visitors for years to come while on display in the City of East Jordan’s Memorial and Sportsman’s Parks. Sculptures are in place for three years. There is a stipend of $600.00 for the artists whose works are accepted. Concrete pads will be provided to fit the works of art by the art walk committee. Artists will be responsible for transporting, installing and de-installing their work. Some exemptions may apply.

Four to six artists are hosted annually for two-month residencies. Resident artists are provided with an apartment on the museum grounds, a studio in downtown Marfa, and access to Chinati’s collection and archive. A stipend of $4,000 is provided for honorarium, travel and art materials.

Decagon Gallery invites photographers from around the world to submit their work for our upcoming online exhibition, A BURST OF COLOR. This exhibition celebrates the vibrant and dynamic power of color in photography.

Whether it’s the bold hues of a cityscape, the subtle gradients of a sunrise, or the electric energy of abstract compositions, they’re looking for images that captivate and inspire through their use of color.

Museology is a call for art that invites an exercise in strategic thinking for an artist's legacy or as a means for advancing recognition or individual fine art practice. The call has an emphasis on sculpture, metal casting specifically. All mediums are welcome for submissions as 2d work will be apart of the exhibition. With sculpture getting a fair shake accepted sculpture works will to be exhibited on the floor, pedestals, wall mounted or on shelves mounted to a wall (the latter type work must include the shelf and have an invisible concealed mount). Entries that hang from a ceiling will also be considered. The call for submissions extends to all mediums.

The Dairy Arts Center is proud to announce their annual Call for Art Exhibitions in 2026! They invite artists working in all visual art mediums to apply for consideration. Selected applicants will collaborate with Curator of Visual Arts, Stella Witcher, to develop and participate in exhibitions scheduled in 2026.

A Quick Response Arts Activation funding of up to $5,000 for individual practising artists, or up to $10,000 for arts collectives or groups to support their creative endeavours, across all art forms. Artists must activate a space in the Woden area and include community engagement. Multi-artform proposals are encouraged. Designed to activate the South Canberra region of Woden, this is an opportunity for artists/groups to think creatively, to showcase artistic practice and to work with the Woden community. A final public outcome is recommended, however, a space nominated by the applicant in the Woden area must be activated as part of the project. Applications should include community engagement and collaborations and multi-artform proposals are encouraged.

SlowArt Productions presents the group exhibition, Digital Art, Assemblage and Collage III. This exhibition will focus on the various forms of digital art, assemblage and collage. The exhibition will be held at the Limner Gallery from June 19 - July 12, 2025. All digital and collage art forms including digital photography, digital collage, hand cut paper collage, combinations thereof and assemblages will be reviewed and considered.

New American Paintings sponsor six juried competitions per year. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings. Brashnar Artist-in-Residence (BAiR) is an artist owned and operated urban artist residency program located in the neighborhood Hrom on the west side of Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. BAiR is a multi-faceted residency program allowing resident artists the freedom to explore the potentials of their practice while experiencing Macedonian culture through group related activities. As an artist led project, Brashnar Creative Project aims to directly influence the process of decentralization of the arts and culture in Skopje. While residing at BAiR, residents live in an open, communal style environment situated in a family-oriented neighborhood. During their residency, residents are encouraged to embrace the local culture and to engage the surrounding community while living at the Art House.
