The Town of Putnam, in collaboration with the Putnam Arts Council (PAC) and the Putnam Business Association (PBA), is seeking proposals for three permanent outdoor sculptures to be installed along Main Street in Downtown Putnam. These sculptures will replace former tree sites and are intended to reflect the town's creativity and natural heritage.

Compensation of up to $4,000 is available per sculpture, which includes design, fabrication, and transportation.

The Full Fellowship Award for 2026 includes accommodations, studio space and two meals each day for the two week duration of the residency at no cost to the artist. The artist is responsible for their own travel to the residency, and daily stipend for any groceries, art supplies or excursions outside of the village. The Mudhouse Residency will sponsor two Full Fellowships for the 2026 season. The Full fellowship is determined by a selection committee based on the merit of the applicants' work.

Artists are encouraged to apply to both the Full Fellowship Award and the General Application. The Full Fellowship Award is very competitive, in 2025 it received 400 applications for two awards. Artists who apply for the Full Fellowship award will not be automatically considered for the General application, the General Application is determined by a separate selection committee under different guidelines. The Rothko Museum invites artists to apply to the 14th International Latgale Graphic Art Symposium – a vibrant creative forum that remains the most significant international event in the graphic medium held in the Latgale Region. The symposium is produced by SIVIA Association in the Rothko Museum’s residency framework.

In April 2022, the Salt Lake City Public Art Program installed Out of the Blue, a sculpture affectionately known as “The Whale.” Created by artist Stephen Kesler, the sculpture currently features Point of Reference, a mural by local artist Michael Murdock. Out of the Blue has become a beloved landmark and a symbol of community, creativity, resilience, and harmony. The sculpture has become an “icon” for Salt Lake City, serving as a gathering point that attracts local and national visitors. To reflect the neighborhood’s vibrant and evolving character, the Salt Lake City Public Art Program commissions a new mural for the sculpture every three to five years through a rotating mural program.

This year they are seeking a Residency Teaching Artist (RTA) and Residency Teaching Artist Assistant (RTAA) position. The RTAA position is designed explicitly for Atlas Alumni who have completed ART 180’s teen programs and have a desire to become emerging teaching artists. The RTAA supports the lead RTA and youth participants, gaining hands-on experience in facilitation, classroom management, and creative leadership. The Parenting Artist Residency is designed specifically for parenting artists with dependants between two and twelve years old; children and partners are welcome. Through an open call, this residency will allow participating artists to develop new work, progress existing projects, or return to their practice after taking time to have children. This residency offers childcare, a stipend of €500, accommodation, and meals.

This residency aims to provide a platform that is notably missing from existing offerings, fostering solidarity among artists who often end up isolated and alienated from existing art structures because of having a family.

Artlink is excited to bring back this call-for-entry to artists who are stepping into the division of these times by creating work that uses both fragmentation and combination as crucial strategies for new ways of seeing and thinking. While it is true that the world has always been divided, today those divisions are accelerated through technology and entrenched through algorithms. Meanwhile, artists continue to find unique ways to respond to this, often through analog acts of cutting and pasting, this+that, ad hoc creativity. These strategies may include collage, assemblage, photomontage, quilting, installation, and other surprising applications of mixed media.

A highlight of the University of Wyoming Art Museum’s exhibition program, the 51st Annual Juried University of Wyoming Student Exhibition presents the artwork from selected University of Wyoming students. Open to any student currently enrolled at UW, including in-state students in the Distance Learning Program, the 2026 exhibition is juried juried by Lindsay Metivier, photographer, educator, and gallerist, Peel Gallery, Carrboro, North Carolina. In conjunction with the Art Museum’s larger exhibition Sympoiesis: Co-Creating Sense of Place, this year’s student juried exhibition will be organized around work exploring “entanglement.” This theme can be broadly interpreted to encompass work that investigates collaborative relationships, interdependence, and the ways that beings, ideas, and systems become intertwined through mutual influence and shared creation. The student exhibition provides a professional development opportunity for students to present their work in a museum setting.

The City of Lakeland, Florida, in cooperation with the Polk Museum of Art, is accepting submissions from sculptors for the 26th Annual Florida Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Submitted sculptures will be juried by representatives from the City, the Polk Museum of Art, and members of the local art community. The top-scoring sculptures will be selected for a one-year exhibition in downtown Lakeland, Florida, with a $1,700 honorarium. Sculptures will be on loan from February 2026 through February 2027. Sculptures will be publicized, and a People’s Choice Award ($1,700) will be awarded based on community voting.

The City of SeaTac is seeking proposals from qualified artists or artist teams to design and create a food-inspired art mural at 18400 International Boulevard, located within the SeaTac International Dining District (World Table District). This mural is part of the City’s FIFA 2026 initiative, and staff is launching this project in celebration of the upcoming global event. This mural will celebrate the area’s rich cultural and culinary diversity and serve as a vibrant visual landmark welcoming both residents and visitors. The project supports the City’s broader goals of placemaking, cultural identity, and tourism development through creative public art as envisioned in the City of SeaTac’s adopted Tourism Destination Development Plan (TDDP).

The City of Roanoke is seeking at an artist or artist team to exhibit sculpture at a new plaza adjacent to the Wasena Bridge running from the opening of the new bridge in Summer 2026 through April 2029.

The City is accepting submissions now through Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern for freestanding sculpture that complements and celebrates the investment in the new Wasena Bridge and related traffic improvements.

This invitation is extended to all artists 18 and older or supervised student groups under an applicant instructor or institutional program. Innovative approaches are welcomed, including the establishment of partnerships between emerging and established artists or between artists and fabricators. Both proposed work and already completed pieces will be considered. Roanoke-based artists, regional artists and teams with connections to Roanoke, especially to the Old Southwest and Wasena neighborhoods adjacent to the site are strongly encouraged to apply, as are women and artists of color.

Yaddo offers residencies to professional creative artists from all nations and backgrounds working in one or more of the following disciplines: choreography, film, literature, musical composition, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and video. Artists apply individually. Peer review is the keystone of the selection process, with different panelists each season. Residencies last from two weeks to two months and include room, board and a studio. All artists whose work falls within the five disciplines are encouraged to apply. Generally, those who qualify for Yaddo residencies are either working at the professional level in their fields or are emerging artists whose work shows great professional promise. An abiding principle at Yaddo is that applications for residency are judged solely on the quality of the work. Yaddo places no publication, exhibition or performance requirements on artists in residence.

Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center invites emerging and established artists to submit original artworks for ‘Rhythm: Movement in Art.’ This exhibition examines how artists capture, interpret, and evoke movement through visual rhythm. From the fluidity of gestures to the pulse of repeated forms, and from the suggestion of physical motion to the sensation of energetic flow, this exhibit celebrates artworks that embody momentum, dynamic flow, and cadence.

The City of Loveland Art in Public Places program seeks artists for The Art Advocacy Project 2D (commonly known as TAAP 2D) in the Loveland Public Library’s Central Galleria. This popular public art exhibit is a one-year on-loan program designed to promote regional artists through the public display of their artworks. This project is open to all Colorado artists of two-dimensional media and will be compensated with an honorarium of $350.00.

ArtWorks is the metro Cincinnati region’s only year-round, workforce development program in the arts. Since launching in 1996, ArtWorks has hired over 4,000 youth (ages 14-24, the majority of whom identify as BIPOC and come from historically marginalized communities) and 3,000 professional artists to create public art projects that instill civic pride and an elevated quality of life for all. The youth apprentice program addresses unemployment for young artists from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing career exploration, work skills, and social and emotional learning that cultivates the confidence young people need to pursue education and career opportunities. As the primary generator of public art in Greater Cincinnati and the largest employer of visual artists, their mission is to create community-based public art. ArtWorks has created over 300 large-scale outdoor murals and thousands of other art outcomes across Greater Cincinnati. Edward Hopper House Museum & Study Center (EHHM) is pleased to announce the 2026 Annual JURIED Exhibition. This competitive exhibition is open for works currently being made by established and emerging artists, 18 years or older. EHHM, 82 N. Broadway, Nyack, NY, is located in the family home of iconic American artist Edward Hopper (1882-1967). The EHHM fuels the creative legacy of one of America's most influential painters through changing exhibitions, education programs, and community outreach. Located just over 30 miles north of New York City in a charming Hudson River village in Rockland County, the EHHM is a major cultural anchor and tourism driver for the Hudson Valley and metropolitan area.

The City of Olympia is seeking up to 18 loaned sculptures from Washington and Oregon state artists for temporary outdoor exhibition on Percival Landing, a waterfront park at the southernmost end of the Puget Sound in view of the state capitol located in Olympia, WA. Selected artists receive a $1,000 honorarium for the one-year loan of their work and are eligible for consideration for the Peoples’ Prize purchase award of up to $10,000, where one sculpture is selected for purchase by public vote and added to the City’s public art collection.

For over a century, artists have reinvented photography through cutting, layering, and reassembling images. From early Cubist experiments to today’s digital, analog, and hybrid approaches, photo-collage remains a powerful way to explore identity, history, culture, and the construction of images.

PhotoPlace Gallery invites submissions of photo-based collage in any form—handmade or digital, sculptural or time-based, traditional or experimental. Show them work that pushes the boundaries of photography, engages with meaningful themes, or transforms found and photographic materials in compelling ways.
