One of five musicians from a set of hina ningyō (Girl’s Day dolls), representing the gonin-bayashi, or ensemble of five court musicians. Their arrangement follows the traditional order of Noh theater accompaniment. This figure depicts the flutist, holding a transverse flute in performance posture.
They sit on the third tier of the set. It comes on a 1.5"x7"x4.75" base.
