One of five male court musicians from a hina ningyō (Girl’s Day doll) set known as the gonin-bayashi. Arranged to reflect the traditional configuration of musical accompaniment in Noh theater, each figure represents a distinct instrumental role. This doll depicts the taiko drummer, identified by his seated posture and the placement of his instrument.
They sit on the third tier of the set. It comes on a 1.5"x7"x4.75" base.
