One of five musicians from a set of hina ningyō (Girls’ Day dolls), known collectively as the gonin-bayashi. The ensemble is arranged in accordance with the traditional order of Noh theater accompaniment. This figure represents the singer (utai), distinguished as the only member without an instrument; instead, he holds a fan, an attribute associated with vocal performance. They sit on the third tier of the set. It comes on a 1.5"x7"x4.75" base.
