Deserted stretch of coastline and softly lapping waves , represented in a graphic and simplified semi-abstract fashion. Pushing the boundaries with a pink sky and a textured, foamy zone of cresting and tumbling waves. Inshore contrast and interest are created with suggested weeds and greenery, with spattered pinks suggesting the ubiquitous Rose Bay Willow Herb. Strong colours, patterns and contrast are the appealing features of this almost graphic rendition of the sandy shore.
I created this mixed media composition using added found items to create texture, like plastic mesh, as well as gestural marks with oil pastel and spatter.
Painted on acrylic paper, this piece is suitable for framing under glass, with a deep mount.
Price shown is for shipping unframed, but I can frame the painting, on request, for in person delivery/pick-up.
