Coast

I’ve been working on a new body of work this summer (2019) which culminated in this semi-abstract seascape in acrylic on canvas with mixed media and found objects incorporated into the surface of the painting. Items such as nylon mesh bags and string, reminding us of how our food-packaging is impacting the health of the oceans on a daily basis. Coffee grounds, great for a natural fertiliser, is also creating texture in this coastal scene.

The entire surface of the painting has been sealed with acrylic medium, for longevity.

Ready to hang without a frame for a contemporary look, with canvas sides painted ocean blue.
