Message
This richly toned woodland landscape was painted in blocky acrylics from a reference photo by Andy Tucker. The photo shows an ancient oak tree in Sherwood Forest and my interpretation works with blocks of tone and colour to create a mosaic-like image of the tree canopy and undergrowth.
The rich tones of gold, orange and brown are offset by the subtler greys of the more distant landscape and sky.
The original is painted on a stretched canvas with a 1" side. Framing is recommended, although the piece is ready to hang.
