Menorcan Sunrise

I have added a special piece for today for the Summer Solstice:

'Menorcan Sunrise' is painted from a beautiful photo by Christine Hopper, who gave her kind permission for me to use it. In fact, this is one of the projects I have recorded as a workshop for Immersed in Watermedia', my online painting club accessible from the Patreon platform (www.Patreon.com/susanclare)

This was a lot of fun to create because of the texture in the foreground, giving it a semi-abstract quality.  

The focal point of the sun bursting between the standing stones, speaks of ancient knowledge and deep connection with the earth.  Could the stones have been aligned to do that precisely on the morning of the summer solstice, as at Stone Henge?
