Sakon no sakura, from a collection of hina ningyō (Girl’s Day dolls). The sakon refers to the cherry tree positioned to the left (east) of the southern staircase of the Hall for State Ceremonies (Shishinden) in the Heian Palace. It stands on the fifth tier of the set.
