Semi-abstract rendition of a rowboat on the mudflats at Burnham, at low tide.
Texture is provided with gesso and found objects. Blocky brushwork and palette knife work create a focus on colour and pattern rather than on detail.
This piece was pre-selected for the Royal Society of Marine Artists Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, October 2019, although it was not in the final selection that formed the exhibit.
Ready to hang painted on a box canvas, with sides painted soft grey, and then framed in a natural soft white inset/ tray frame with deep sides.
