This impressionistic painting of a baby elephant and its mother shows the protective loving relationship the exists between them from the stance and attitudes of the animals. As they emerge from the brush into the sunlight, the shadows appear reddish in contrast to the green surroundings of the forest.

This image is painted in chunky paint on a box canvas, using a contemporary blocky brushwork. the painting is ready to hang without a frame and the sides of the box canvas are painted a dark tone to complement the darks in the painting.
