Painted on location at the beautiful Beeleigh Abbey on one of their rare open days, I wanted to focus on the tranquil scene at the lake, with the focal point becoming the row-boat on the far side. This lovely scene evokes fantasy images of the Lady of the Lake, the Lady of Shallot, and so on. Mostly I was just thrilled to be painting outside in this beautiful shady spot.
