Untitled by Ruggero Gamberini, Image 1.
In this 2003 collage, Ruggero Gamberini continues his exploration of layered abstraction through a tightly organised yet tactile composition. Oil paint is worked across paper fragments with deliberate, directional strokes, creating a surface that oscillates between solidity and permeability. Muted greens, greys and earthen tones are punctuated by darker passages, lending the work a sense of internal weight and slow movement. Rather than offering a fixed focal point, the image unfolds through accumulated gestures, suggesting a process-driven abstraction grounded in material and touch.
