This was another short pose from Sophie Larter, the model at Abbotsbury Studios where I worked for this. The under-sketch and the super quick layer of paint were all done in less than ten minutes and the painting was then enhanced for colour and depth when I was back in my studio.
I loved painting and sketching really fast and getting an abstracted, impression of the pose rather than aiming for slow perfection, I love the painterly feel of this one and have left it purposely rough and edgy, with drips, representing the constant decay of the moment!
