A lover of the arts, in general, I'm always playing with something. I've been a life-model for a number of years, but have decided to focus primarily on my art business this year, with a view to making a series of fresh, fun and affordable paintings in smaller formats. I started out professionally as an artist in 2015 but have painted for many years as a kind of serious hobby so have managed to build some kind of style in that time, though it is still in its evolutionary stages, I think I'm getting closer to creating the body of work I want to see.

I love to be in nature when I can be and am always inspired by her layering and textures when the plants are in bloom and her stark bare lines and contrast when in the grip of winter. I love stone and wood, and I crave complex strata-like layers, chunks or veins. I think abstract is great and I have fun making it, but I can't shake the love of the human figure and faces in particular also feature heavily in my work in general.

I love to experiment and play with texture built over time and enhancing light-refraction with interference mediums and shiny stuff like gold leaf. 

A mother of one, I am always busy so my art has to fit into my life and I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to focus on and run everything from my home studio.
