This is a term from science basically meaning that;
“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”
Another oil on paper that literally emerged from being very stuck in a place of no painting for ages…I had no canvases so I decided to try working on cartridge paper in oils, in my new studio that enables the use of stinky oil paints for the first time in years!

It’s like being let out of my stall and now I’m racing! This is brightness coming out from the undergrowth. Just so representative of where I am right now in my career as an artist; emerging from the algae and the goo where everything begins!
