The client saw one of my original painting, 'The Best Exotic Hen House', in the Cank Street Gallery in Leicester & asked if I'd paint her house in the same way but much larger. I was delighted to take on the challenge & spent a morning photographing Rutland Manor & surrounding gardens. After some consideration of how I was going to create the atmosphere of the original painting, I painted the house as if it was in a part of the garden where the client's children used to play which had wonderful speckled light & a magical atmosphere. The client "loved it"!
