24 x 18", vertical collage on 30 x 22" paper. Made with handmade, original woodcut prints using a variety of Eastern and Western papers. This prints and collages made from them, are inspired by the natural world. Leave, roots and trees are motifs found in the prints in a graphic and stylized way. The process of collage further abstracts the idea of deriving imagery from nature . This autumn series incorporates colored prints as well as black and white, creating a new, painterly direction to the work.
