I have no idea, still, where this came from or why I felt the need to make it, in the midst of everything else I've been working on, but... I don't hate it. "The Greater Crime" is one of those pieces wholly out of my head, somewhere in an imaginary subway. There's something about the way people move in a city, how we don't look each other in the eyes, we don't really see each other. This piece is about conformity, about our neglect of our own- and others'- humanity, about reducing ourselves to ciphers in service to faceless institutions, using our precious time on the planet for uselessness.
