Since its inception in 2012, Baton Rouge General's Arts in Medicine program has provided a vast collection of visual arts to enhance the culture of care within.
Message
She has always enjoyed artistic endeavors in painting, crafting, and in taking pictures. In 2010, photography captured her interest and she has poured herself into this craft. Sometimes she will take pictures to document an occasion, but also to capture those moments in time that seemed to be of little interest to anyone but herself. Moments that stirred an emotional response that said, ‘this is beautiful or amazing’ and she wanted to capture that moment, share it and reflect on it later. Her mother’s motto and instruction was always do your best, and she has tried to apply that wisdom in all areas of her life, including her photography.
