Artist: Carol A. Hackler
Carol went back to LSU, taking art allowing her to teach high school art at The Dunham School for 16 years. After retiring, she began teaching art in her home. Her subject matter ranges from portraits and landscapes to still life's. She also loves to take commissions.
For 2 years Carol has painted with a Plein Air group which is a completely different type of painting. She says, "I love what I do and feel like I am pushing myself to learn an entirely new way of seeing the world that I am painting. Many of these paintings are taken from photographs I took on location." As a former teacher, she is most proud of the many students who went on to make art a lifelong career.
