The mural along the Carpenter Recreation Center swimming pool wall took swimmers on a journey to a tropical paradise, complete with palms trees and a sand castle.

This mural was added to the new recreation center in 1994. Humid air and pool chemicals caused the painting to age, and the mural was removed in a later renovation of Carpenter Recreation Center.
