Part of the Glasscapes series, What Remains reads as a distilled city grid — structure reduced to its essentials. Intersecting linear elements establish the framework, while layered geometric forms suggest buildings, blocks, and the memory of place. Anchored by intersecting linear elements, layered geometric forms gather in the upper field while a smaller cluster rests below — suggesting memory, foundation, and continuity.
Hand-cut glass elements in warm ochres, deep teals, smoky neutrals, and subtle red accents are kiln-fused through multiple firings to achieve dimensional depth and luminous transparency. The atmospheric background moves between soft aqua and earthen tones, creating a sense of openness balanced by grounded warmth.
The composition invites reflection on what persists — structure, connection, and the fragments that continue to define us long after change has occurred.
A contemplative square-format statement piece that brings balance and quiet strength to contemporary interiors.
The fused glass artwork is mounted to a deep, 18"x18"x2" whitewashed wood panel and is wired and ready to hang. I also added my signature glass “Tattoo” to the side of the panel. The tattoo design mimics the design on the front of the panel.
