Gathering at the Edge explores connection and convergence along a quiet horizon line. Layered geometric forms cluster along a slender metallic axis, creating a visual rhythm that feels both architectural and deeply human — like voices meeting at the boundary between sky and water.
Hand-cut glass elements in saturated reds, deep blues, smoky neutrals, and subtle gold accents are kiln-fused through multiple firings to achieve depth and luminous transparency. The expansive aqua field evokes openness and possibility, while soft painterly textures introduce atmosphere and movement.
Fine linear detailing adds structure and tension, contrasting with the fluid background and reinforcing the dialogue between precision and intuition. As light shifts across the surface, layered forms cast subtle shadows, creating a work that quietly evolves throughout the day.
A contemporary statement piece about connection, balance, and the beauty found where boundaries dissolve.
I added a glass "tattoo" design on the whitewashed side of the wood panel which mimics the front and adds interest. This fused glass artwork is 12" x 6"x 2"and is ready to hang.
