MessageCollection: SUV - Sowas Unnötig Von
This series deals with the excessive consumerism of the Western world. Influenced by his work in the commercial design sector and years of experience with three-dimensional visualizations, he developed themes for his first works. Digital montages of real image material and self-created complex 3D objects form the starting point for the paintings. Familiar consumer products are brought into focus through grotesque exaggeration and opulent exaggeration. The scenes initially appear familiar because they are images of well-known products from our contemporary world. At second glance, they look strange and unreal - always far too large and pompous large and pompous - more like design studies of future lifestyle goods. Details are exaggerated, modified and satirized. What remains is the impression of classic landscape scenes in which threatening foreign bodies are spreading. The title “SUV - Sowas Unnötiges von” is a sarcastic self-interpretation of Sport Utility Vehicle in German.
