Moods of Winter

A collection of moody atmospheric works. This started as a series of small work, but I've included later larger pieces which have the same mood, energy and colour palette.

Farmfields

During the Covid Lockdown I spent a lot of time walking the hilly area near my home - a combination of fields, pastures and woods. I was fascinated by the contrast of man-made geometric traces contrasting with the organic shapes of nature.

Weather Sensitive

An open collection of artwork celebrating the weather - both real and emotional.

Signature Strokes

My art is a lot about line - mostly a loose gestural sort of calligraphic line. My interest in Japanese and Chinese calligraphy goes way back. I also have always been attracted to paintings with asemic writing especially Cy Twobly. Asemic writing is illegible writing or writing-like-drawing with no meaning, in other words an abstract form of writing. Each individual has a handwriting that is uniquely theirs, which is why we consider a person’s signature to be proof of their identity.

Botanical Embrace

I am a garden and plant lover and believe that working and being outdoors in the garden or surrounded by plants is good for our emotional and mental wellbeing. This is a collection of works inspired by gardens, and the colour green.

Small, ready-to-hang works

Small means under 50x50cm (20x20”). These are all framed

The sunset of seasons

Each year I fall in fall anew with the colours of autumn leaves here in central Europe. It is not a palette I’m normally drawn to.
