The Vestibule invites submissions of new or completed work by single artists or small collectives for THE GAME SHOW, a playful, two weekend exhibition of objects, events and concepts from December 12-Dec 20, 2025.

What kind of games are right for the Game Show? Fun games, serious games, video games, board games, language games, conceptual games, games that can be played alone, games that can be played with the creator….

What kind of work is right for the game show? Written work, sculpted work, installation art, performance art, video art, video game art, poetry books, philosophy, books about games, books that art games, interactive art, inviting art…  

Eligibility Criteria:

Open to all. Artists, writers, performance artist. Online presence/portfolio and/or CV are required. We encourage submissions by BIPOC artists and artists identifying as LJBTQIA+

Application Requirements:

Submit EITHER completed OR proposed work:

For completed work, submit 
  • JPEGS 2-4 images of the completed work . An overall and a detail would be fine. Title each file ARTIST NAME_WORK TITLE_MEDIA.  
  • PDF A brief artist statement of not more than ~200 words explaining the connection the game show. One or two sentences may be enough! 
For proposed new work including performance, installation and social practice submit:
  • PDF proposal with a detailed description of the proposed set of works or project: you may include 2-4 images such as details or sketches, up to 200 words to describe the process, product and connection to the game show. 
  • JPEGS  of Past Work/Proof of concept: 2-4 relevant images of past work. Title each file ARTIST NAME_WORK TITLE_MEDIA.
