Pierce Street Art is an artist-run exhibition space dedicated to supporting contemporary artists and fostering meaningful creative exchange within our community.

We produce a limited number of curated exhibitions each year, with a focus on thoughtful presentation, strong visual dialogue, and connection between artists and audience. This open call is for your work to be considered in our calendar year of exhibitions.

Pierce Street Art prioritizes artists working in Omaha and the surrounding region.

Selected artists may be considered for:
– Inclusion in curated group exhibitions
– Future exhibition opportunities
– Solo exhibitions within the space
– Artist talks, panels, and programming
– Ongoing relationships with Pierce Street Art

This is a selective, curated opportunity. We are intentional about building each exhibition as a cohesive experience, considering not only individual works but how they exist in dialogue with one another within the space.

Exhibition Schedule Context:
Pierce Street Art presents four exhibitions annually. This open call is for Exhibition 2 of 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

– Open to emerging and established contemporary artists working in any medium
– Artists must be 18 years or older
– Work must be original and created within the last two years
– Art must be available and for sale
– Artists must be able to deliver and pick up work within the scheduled timeframe. Local artists are strongly preferred; shipped work must include a prepaid return shipping label.
– Artists must be willing to participate in exhibition-related programming if selected (when applicable)
– Submissions must include complete and accurate information for all artworks
– Preference may be given to artists who demonstrate professional presentation, clear artistic intent, and readiness to exhibit

Pierce Street Art prioritizes artists based in Omaha and the surrounding region, though all artists are welcome to apply.

Application Requirements:

  • 3 or more images of available work
  • Artwork details for each piece (title, medium, dimensions, year, price)
  • Artist statement (1–2 paragraphs)
  • Artist bio (short paragraph)
  • Website or Instagram

Rules and Terms:

– Submission does not guarantee selection; all curatorial decisions are final
– Accepted work must match submitted images and meet presentation requirements
– All work should be available for sale unless otherwise agreed
– Pierce Street Art will coordinate sales; commission is 50%
– Payment issued within 30 days of exhibition close
– Artists are responsible for delivery, pickup, and adhering to all deadlines
– While care will be taken, Pierce Street Art is not responsible for damage or loss
– Artists grant permission for images of their work to be used for promotional purposes
