Submission Deadline:  Open to the first 16 artists that submit by March 15th.

• Any artwork related to this seasonal event.
• Professional and emerging artists, 18 years and older.
• All visual art mediums are welcome, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, installation, digital, and textile works.
• All artwork must be original artwork created by the person submitting to the show
• All eligible entries will be accepted into this exhibition for the first 16 artists to submit. Space is limited.

•  Nature and Floral Themes
• Floral Representations: Create works that showcase the beauty of azaleas and other spring flowers, using vibrant colors and details.
• Botanical Illustrations: Consider detailed illustrations or paintings that highlight the anatomy of flowers and plants, merging art and science.
• Symbolic Colors: Explore the meanings behind colors in floral arrangements, such as love, friendship, and renewal, to add depth to the artwork.
• Local Inspiration
     - Tyler's Landscape: Incorporate elements of Tyler’s natural scenery, such as local parks, gardens, or iconic landmarks, to create a sense of place.
     - Cultural Significance: Reflect on Tyler's history and culture in your artwork, potentially using local materials or themes that resonate with the community.
  Seasonal Changes.
• Transition from Winter to Spring: Illustrate the transformation of landscapes as they awaken from winter, celebrating the rebirth of nature.
• Life Cycles: Explore the life cycles of flowers and plants, depicting their growth stages through various artistic mediums.
• Environmental Themes
     - Sustainability: Highlight themes of environmental conservation and sustainability in your work, using recycled materials or showcasing native plants.
     - Pollinator Awareness: Create art that raises awareness about the importance of pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, in the ecosystem. 
• Draw on Personal Experiences
     -  inviting viewers to connect emotionally with your artwork. 
• Cultural Influences: Incorporate cultural motifs or traditions related to spring and blooming flowers, reflecting diverse perspectives.

• Canvas edges must be finished or framed; no visible staples.
• All hanging artwork must have a wired hanger—no sawtooth hangers.
• The back of each piece must be neat and clean; a professional finish is required for all framed works.
• No hot glue, duct tape, or painter’s tape on any artwork. Paper backing or a clean finish is required.
• Frames must be of professional quality—no dollar store frames. (Note: Gold Leaf Gallery and Tricia’s Rose City Framing offer discounts to PORAL artists.)
• Glass and plexiglass in frames should be clean on both the inside and outside.
• Artwork must be signed with a clean, legible, and non-distracting signature.
• Frames must be in perfect condition—no nicks, bumps, or scratches.
• Artwork must be original
• No “craft” items—only high-quality, fine artwork is accepted.
• A Certificate of Authenticity is recommended for fine artwork but not required. 

• Artwork must follow the same professional presentation standards—no rough or unfinished edges.
• Pieces should have a polished, creative look and must not appear overly “crafty.”
