Nike Art Gallery USA is thrilled to invite young creatives to participate in a special Children and Youth Edition of the celebrated "Mother Dearest" exhibition! We welcome Children and youth from Ages 13-18 from all across the globe to share their artistic voices and perspectives in this powerful celebration of motherhood, caregiving, and mentorship.

This year’s theme, "Mother Dearest: External Bond," explores the unbreakable and timeless connection between a mother and child — a love transcending distance, time, and circumstances. We encourage students to reflect on the many forms of nurturing, care, and guidance, inviting them to expand their ideas of motherhood and celebrate those who have played a significant role in shaping their lives.

We call on art teachers and parents to inspire and support their youth in sharing their creative interpretations of this theme through diverse visual and folkloric media. This is an incredible opportunity for young artists to showcase their talents, tell their stories, and connect with a broader artistic community.

Open to: youth and children across the globe

Age Range: 11–18 years old

Group Submissions: Collaborative works by student groups (max 3 students per group) are welcome

Originality: All submissions must be original, created solely by the student(s)

Medium Accepted: Painting, sculpture, textile art, photography, mixed media, and traditional folk art

Size Limit: Each submission must not exceed 3ft x 3ft

Artist Statement: A brief description (50–150 words) about you and the artwork, including inspiration and connection to the theme.

Artwork Title and Description: Title, dimensions, medium, and a short narrative (100–150 words)

Parental/Guardian/ Teacher Consent: Signed permission for participation and artwork display

Submission Format: Digital image of the artwork (JPEG or PNG, 300 dpi) for initial review

Submission Fee: None – student submissions are free

Artwork Readiness: All artwork must be ready for display (framed or properly mounted with hanging hardware)

Delivery Dates: Artwork must be delivered between July 13– Jul 15, 2025

Pickup Dates:  Artwork must be collected between Aug 9 – Aug 12, 2025

Liability: While every care will be taken with submitted artwork, Nike Art Gallery USA is not responsible for damage or loss during the exhibition period

Photography and Promotion: By submitting, participants grant permission for images of their artwork to be used in promotional materials and online exhibitions

Award Eligibility: Only students who meet all submission requirements and deadlines will be considered for awards
