Eugene, we're calling on your light! The BRiGHT AfterParty is a luminous celebration of creativity, community and the magic that happens when art meets our city after dark. What begins as the glowing Eugene BRiGHT Parade through downtown Eugene transforms into an immersive nighttime experience where projection, sculpture, sound and human connection fill the Farmers Market Pavilion and the surrounding area with wonder.
Calling all artists whose work illuminates, activates and transforms space. Whether you work with light, projection, interactive installation, performance or something we haven't imagined yet, we want to share your art with the community.
What we're looking for: light-based artwork such as projection mapping, sculpture, interactive and participatory works, immersive environments, performance-based art, experimental light artworks, etc.
What we offer: artist stipend between $300-$700, based on scope (plug-and-play sculptures or simple installations will receive smaller stipends, whereas larger-scale, immersive experiences will receive more), production support (power, placement, logistics), a multi-generational audience and the opportunity to create community and share your art with thousands of people.
Considerations: Please keep the following in mind when applying:
- Due to limited prep time for the AfterParty following the Lane County Farmers Market, all works must be able to be set up completely within two hours (between 4:45-6:45 p.m.) for the event start at 7 p.m.
- The power available at the site is 110V. Artist should bring their own extension cords and batteries.
- The Farmers Market Pavilion has limited possibilities for hanging pieces. Wall mounting is not permitted.
- If you are submitting multiple pieces for consideration, be sure to separately address each piece in each question below where applicable.
Applications are open until filled or 11:59 p.m. Aug. 5, 2026. We will review applications on a rolling basis so early submissions will have the best chance of being selected.
