Born in 1969, Yasser Gad is a Cairo based visual artists and researcher. Gad earned a degree in architecture, as well as in Egyptian Archaeological Literature, and went on to a long career with the Ministry of Culture, from 1998 until 2012. “My first introduction to fine art, as it is known today, was at an Orientalists Exhibition at the Cairo Opera House in 1998. This sparked my interest and I began reading about great works and masterpieces from the Orientalists era. Slowly but surely, I went on to explore modern art and spent 14 years just trying to understand what art really is". Gad is an experimentalist when it comes to the mediums he utilizes; from charcoal on cotton, to expert use of gold . Yasser Gad is Known for his intricate architectural paintings and mixed media works, he blends a solid academic background in antiquity studies from Ein Shams University with a deeply personal and poetic subjective view.

Gad’s art focuses on societal and environmental occurrences in Egypt, translating them into metaphorical imagery. His work often depicts detailed structures to explore human themes; for example, his acclaimed ‘Stair Series’ (2017) uses architectural forms to symbolise life’s trials as a series of failures and achievements, while the ‘Terzo Series’ (2019) captures solitude and simplicity.

Gad served as Director of the Mobile Museum at the Fine Arts Sector, Ministry of Culture, and was the executive commissioner of the Youth Salon and the General Exhibition (2005–2011). He was also the General Commissioner of the Sculpture and Monument Symposium “Reviving Humanity” during the World Youth Forum in Sharm El-Sheikh (2018).

Alongside his cultural contributions, he has held several solo exhibitions, participated in numerous group shows, and published writings in the field of visual arts.

د الفنان التشكيلي ياسر محمد جاد في القاهرة عام 1969، وهو باحث حر في الحركة التشكيلية المصرية الحديثة. حصل على ليسانس الآداب – قسم الآثار بجامعة عين شمس، وأسهم بدور بارز في المشهد الفني والثقافي في مصر.
شغل منصب مدير المتحف الجوال بقطاع الفنون التشكيلية بوزارة الثقافة، كما كان القومسير التنفيذي لصالون الشباب والمعرض العام لعدة دورات بين 2005 و2011. كما تولّى القومسير العام لسمبوزيوم النحت والنصب التذكاري "إحياء الإنسانية" ضمن فعاليات منتدى شباب العالم بشرم الشيخ عام 2018.
إلى جانب نشاطه المؤسسي، أقام عدة معارض فردية وشارك في العديد من المعارض الجماعية، وله أيضًا مؤلفات في مجال الفنون التشكيلية.
