Artist: Yasmine Jaamea
Born in 1988, Jaamea is a Cairo-based visual artist and University Lecturer. She currently serves as an Lecturer at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2010, followed by a Master’s degree in 2016 and a PhD in 2021.
Yasmine's multidisciplinary artistic practice spans painting, installation art, and video art. Through these media, she explores contemporary themes using diverse experimental techniques.
Yasmin's career has recently been marked by several prominent exhibitions; she held her solo exhibition, "The Tale of Mr. Rooster," at the Nahdet Misr Gallery, Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center in July 2025. Additionally, she participated in the "Cairo Design District" exhibition (Downtown, November 2025), the "ECHOES" exhibition at the Academy of Arts (Giza, 2026), and "The Girl’s Windows" exhibition at Ubuntu Gallery (January 2026).
Her extensive portfolio includes significant local and international participation:
"What on earth?" exhibition , at Granada Palace (2022), held in conjunction with the COP27 Global Climate Summit.
“Chitrashala International Art Symposium” in India (2022). Between 2015 and 2021
"Youth Salon" (26th–31st editions), Cairo Opera House.
where she showcased her paintings and installation art. Her work has also been exhibited at the Gezira Art Center (2017), Medrar for Contemporary Art (2016), the 3rd International South Salon in Luxor (2015), the 2nd Middle East Salon for Small Artworks (2014), and the 56th Cairo Salon at the Opera House (2013

Yasmine Jaamea is the recipient of several awards, including the Youth Salon Award (2020), the Painting Award at the 3rd International South Salon (2015), and the 54th Talaia (Vanguard) Exhibition Award (2014).
