Islam El Nagdy is an Egyptian artist born in 1969. He graduated in 1993 from the Higher Institute for Theatrical Art and specialized in set design. Islam has continued his academic career in the field of Theatrical Arts where he has acquired a Masters Degree in Theatrical Arts and a Doctorate degree of Sceneography from Sapienza University of Rome. Islam then joined the Faculty at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts and had a prolific career journey in academia, he is most recently the Vice Dean of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts.
Islam has designed various set designs for many renowned theatre plays locally and in Italy and worked in parallel to develop his artistic career through his innate passion for painting. Islam El Nagdi has participated in a number of exhibitions nationally and internationally in Italy and France. His work is part of the art collection of many collectors and enthusiastic art lovers worldwide.
