Large vintage Japanese kokeshi doll, crafted in the 'sashikomi' style, in which the head and torso are shaped separately and joined with a peg. The doll is handmade from solid wood, adorned with traditional red and black painted details. A shell-shaped silk pendant adorns the doll.
